Top rated hotels in Milano Marittima

Palace Hotel

There are only two holiday hotels in the whole wide world I look forward to visiting: The Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok and the Palace Hotel in Milano Marittima, Italy. For me, virtually all the rest I have been to are plastic palaces with largely disdainful staff, fancy prices and fanciful promises of heaven on earth. On the other hand, the Palace Hotel in Milano Marittima, situated right on the seafront, has friendliness, tranquility, efficiency, cleanliness, excellent service and a private beach (no extra charge), with a beautiful bar and restaurant on it; so sun worshippers don’t have to exert themselves strolling an extra 50 metres to have a delicious buffet lunch on the terrace by the pool. The quality of the food in the hotel is superb and puts the Emperor’s Clothes, overpriced Italian restaurants in London to shame.
Hotel Centrale

I arrived in this hotel via a Smartbox booking. It was immediately known that, unlike the provisions of the coffin, they had different conditions for those who did not book via normal channels such as Booking etc. They didn't inform us of the WiFi, breakfast or parking, We had to ask ourselves what we needed. We were also informed that our room was ”evidently” courtyard view but that there was availability for the rooms view sea, always ”evidently” with a surplus to pay separately. Where we found a beautiful terrace, the room was rather small and it was accessed through a few stairs, it felt a strong bathroom smell, which was not improved at all during the stay. The discharges smelled very much and there was no area, but the location is excellent, because it is just a few steps from the beach and the centre, and I believe that it is so that it can apply such high rates, otherwise unjustifiable. The breakfast is discreet, nothing special but not bad ... the water-massing bath service that was included in the price according to the cofanette's instructions, ”Of course” for our room was not planned, but we had to pay it separately. If you really want to stay there, book through other channels. Ah, the parking is not there and you may not find it even nearby when you arrive.

For the first time in Milan Maritima,a few days later, I have a beautiful memory of thinking about the stay at the Kent hotel, where you are welcomed with gentleness and attention to the guests. The presence of a comfortable garden entrance,in addition to the main entrance to the beautiful hall.We stayed in the junior suite, with a large balcony with a wonderful view, being placed at the seventh floor. It is true, as some customers have written, You feel at home right away. The friendlyness of the owner permeates the atmosphere, informal and careful in the minimum details:the excellent kitchen, the choice of room staff, etc. Thanks Hotel Kent for this beautiful holiday!

Complimenti a tutti ci siamo sentiti a casa..........Arrivederci.

What a disgusting let down this place was, and a danger too. Do not book, you will not get value for money. We had a 2 week full board stay in a family room. Arrived late evening. Reception were no help and gave no advice or tips, not did they even provide us with the basics, like the required voucher for sun loungers. Our family room was tiny, even if just for a couple. A double bed then small bunk beds n barely room to move in between. The bathroom door only opened around 60° as it hit the sink, and you had to choose if to plug the mini fridge or the TV in, there wasn't capability for both. The room was so cramped we had to put a little item of furniture on the balcony so we could stand next to the bed. The balcony,, had 2 plastic chairs that just fit the width of the balcony so if you wanted to sit on one, it had to be turned in to give room for your knees (not that I would have sat on one - they were filthy and flimsy). How this hotel can say it has air conditioning is beyond me. There was a very old and leaking box above the doorway. The only difference this made to the room was approx 2° cooler only if you left it on all day with the doors and blinds shut and noone in the room. Within two minutes of entry it was sweltering again. Food...breakfast is served in the hottest room ever, you could barely breathe. The food is nice if you like pastries. Fresh fruit was rare. The scrambled egg, sausages and bacon weren't great, and looked like left there the whole service. Don't dare try and ask for a coffee from the bar if you're not Italian, you use the machine. Lunch and dinner the items off the menu were nice, but the buffet was the same every single day for two weeks and an awful cattle run at opening because a) it's crammed in a right awkward corner, and b) the most popular things are not replenished when gone. All the vegetables are served chilled. I found the food quite nice, but was really fed up by the end of two weeks. It was nice that the room lunch and dinner is served in is cool. Phew. Now for the facilities: dirty. Unkempt. Dangerous. Neglected. The photos tell you the story. A man hole which was uncovered, and the broken slab cast aside, was left unfixed at the side of the path you have to take to get from hotel to pool. There was building material left abandoned everywhere. Stinking overflowing bins and piles of tat and rubbish. Hose pipes left in random and dangerous places (like the bottom of the stairs) for the whole two weeks. There is a sunbathing deck above the pitiful pool showers which had loose and missing panels. I in fact witnessed someone put their hand on one and luckily saved themself from falling when the plank fell away. Pool: when we arrived the pool was lovely and clean but as time went on it was obvious the filter wasn't enough. The grime, and black and pink mold, growing round the pool is evident on the photos. By the last few days I wouldn't even let my children in the main pool, too risky. By the edge of

Tutto bene.
