Premier Inn Ramsgate (Manston Airport)

Not sure where to start. Bedding had not been changed. Hairs in bed and on pillow. The bottom sheet showed the impression of a previous guest and the duvet had a large tear in it. Only one hand towel between us both. Went to reception who moved us and said they would put us in a room that they know would've been cleaned properly - what a statement! Second room was ok, although only one bath towel for us to share. The toilet pans in both rooms were disgusting one with faecal matter in it. Reception apologised again and blamed the cleaning products. The location is good, plenty of parking but we won't be returning as Premier Inn has not invested in staff training and clearly doesn't value it's guests.

Why do they have a machine instead of a human to check you in! The machine was not working so Stephen came out and checked me in and that was SO much better than a QR code machine that wasnt working waste of money having visited here in the last decade am not sure I will be back as no human no stay

The room and bed gave me a relaxed feeling and a good night sleep. The cooked breakfast was as expected and the staff at the restaurant both during breakfast and dinner were helpfull and friendly. I will return to this hotel in the near future.

The location was great. We could easily get to places on the Isle of Thanet. The family room that we had was well positioned on the ground floor and right at the end. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It wasn't too noisy despite it being almost fully booked. The beds were very comfortable and restaurant was lovely especially the breakfasts.

The room was dirty, not vacuumed with previous guests filter wrappers in the floor and tissue strewn over the bathroom floor. The bathroom had not been wiped down and the toilet had not been cleaned. I reported this to the receptionist who said she would clean it when we went out in the evening, she was the only member of staff, so couldn’t leave the desk at that moment. When we returned she had not cleaned the room at all!! During the night the room was very warm? The air conditioning was just noisy with no impact on the room temperature. In the morning I spoke with a different member of staff regarding the cleaning of the room, she made a note of my complaint and said it WOULD be done. I also informed her of the noisy and worthless air conditioning. I was told it would be looked at. The room was cleaned when I returned, but no change to the air conditioning! On the second night I spoke with yet another member of staff, I explained the noise from the room above us was keeping us awake. I suggested it was either their air conditioning or the fan in the bathroom that was left on. Nothing was done, so, needless to say another sleepless night was had! I would not recommend this hotel, the corridors were dirty, McDonald’s empty food bags hung on doors or left outside rooms. We also spotted multiple cigarette butts strewn outside the back door to the kitchen, obviously where the staff smoke, but nobody cleans the area. There was a lack of staff presence and no point in reporting issues, as they are unable or unwilling to rectify them. I have stayed in Premiere Inn hotels throughout the UK, I have to say this is the worse experience I’ve encountered.

We stayed here 1 night for a family birthday party nearby. Upon arrival the building looks tired and needs a good cleanup and fresh paint on the outside. The car park could also do with a good sweep and cut- back of foliage. We stayed in room 109, which is right next to the stairs leading down to the ground floor. This meant we were kept awake at night with the door constantly banging when it closed. The room itself upon first inspection looked clean, but there was rubbish left on the bathroom floor. The basin overflow and soap dispenser both needed a good clean. There is no desk in the room to put your things on, or to leave your phone/tablet whilst plugged in to charge. There is no bedside shelf/table on one side of the bed, which meant that I had to drag the dining table over to my side of the bed in order to put my drink and phone for the night. There were glass mugs for hot drinks but no glasses for cold. The little interaction we had with staff was professional and friendly. We have stayed at quite a few Premier Inns in the past, some of which returning to on a regular basis. I'm afraid we will not be returning to this one.
