Hotel Matsushima Taikanso ★★★★
"Location is excellent. However, the services was unbelievable that every customer should bring along their luggage from the carpark to the entrance of the hotel and no staff will help. The onsen is like a swimming pool and seems not very Japanese. The dinner was a buffet style which i am not prefer very much."
HOTEL ROUTE-INN RIFU ★★★
"Pros: - The hotel is new, with clean and modern facilities. - Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. - Guests receive drink tokens, which is a nice touch. - There’s a large car park and a supermarket conveniently located nearby. - A major shopping mall is just a 5-minute drive away, making it easy to access dining and entertainment options. Cons: - The pillows and mattress were quite firm, which may not be comfortable for everyone."
Matsushima Onsen Hotel Zekkei No Yakata ★★★
"The staff were friendly and tried their best to speak English. However, I would still recommend having some basic Japanese knowledge. The highlight of the room is the balcony, which not only offers a perfect view of the bay but also features a bathtub filled with hot spring water. The room only has futons, so sleeping on your side is uncomfortable. The toilet is in a separate room, which I found too small. Some of the doors inside and outside the room are quite small, so tall people have to duck."
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Hotel Sokan ★★★★
"Large buffet, price-performance rather expensive"
YOKI MATSUSHIMA ★★★★
"This is the newest hotel in Matsushima, so the facilities are top-of-the-line. Those who enjoy private onsen (hot spring baths) can relax and enjoy them without worry. What I really want to talk about is their service. First, before check-in, we contacted the hotel via email, and they responded quickly, adjusting the transportation arrangements promptly based on our arrival situation. Second, during our stay, the staff learned that we planned to visit Tashirojima, and since it was during typhoon season, the hotel staff kept an eye on the weather and ferry operations for us. Finally, regarding language, the hotel has two staff members who speak Mandarin, so there were no communication barriers throughout our stay."
Ryotei Unseian ★★★
"All-you-can-drink alcohol is great!"
Breezbay Seaside Resort Matsushima ★★★
"There are no restaurants around in the evening, but you can enjoy table tennis and karaoke, so I recommend it."
Matsushima Petit Hotel Bistro Abalon ★★★
"The hotel has a vintage feel, and the hotel staff are very polite."
Matsushima Century Hotel ★★★
"It was great that it was close to the station and also close to the main attractions. The food was delicious. I was very satisfied with being able to eat plenty of oysters and beef tongue."
