Chic room in center of town with modern facilities (big safe, spacious bathroom, well-functioning aircon and good internet) but unfortunately a tiny fridge that can't really store anything but a few cans and yet produces a lot of noise if you can't figure out how to turn it off. (Tip: difficult to see since everything is quite dark, the switch is on the left inside the fridge and there are three levels, the "off" mode is in the middle). There is also a common area in the basement for free coffee, tea and water. Try to get a room on the ground floor (still there were a few steps) if you don't want to carry luggage up the stairs. The view is the same garden/parking lot anyway. For parking, remember to book it in advance so one can be reserved on the secured premises for the night. After you check out, you will still nevertheless need to park the car on a street close by showing a sticker prepared for you and to be found in the room upon check-in. In May, street parking on same street was easy to find. As reception only runs for a short period of time in the morning, communication was done through email long in advance before the actual stay with full instructions and you will need to upload passport copies before security codes are given to you. A WhatsApp number was also provided and we used it to report a semi-clogging sink in our bathroom. Unfortunately they couldn't find a repairman to fix it for us though different staff did offer their apologies to us. Overall a very pleasant stay but expect some inconveniences as there was no reception most of the time.

A beautiful place to stay. The Bella Modena is chic and upscale. The decor is both classic and modern. Your room will be nicely appointed and spotlessly clean. The ceiling frescoes are original and stunning. We didn't think there was a closet. We pushed a random handle. Voila'. A nice size closet that you can hideaway for extra space during the day. The location is on a quiet street just a block or two away from the central Modena crowds. If you have a car you'll be happy with the secure private parking lot. Take the tour of the onsite Balsamic vinegar factory. It's famiy owned, definitely authentic, and sold at the hotel. There is a little common area with espresso and teas available. The rooms have a cute little refigeration contraption big enough for a couple water bottles. I highly recommend the Bella Modena.

Great central location, easy to reach from Bologna airport (c. 1.5 hours from leaving airport via Bologna airport shuttle monorail, Bolognia-Modena train, then 20 minute walk - can obviously be faster if using some taxis). Close to most central Modena locations - 5 minutes' walk to bars, cafes and restaurants, 5/10 minutes to Duomo and the Gallerie Estense, 20 minutes to Modena train station where you can get connections to Bologna, Parma and so on, 25 minutes' walk to the Enzo Ferrari museum. Easy check-in using the instructions sent in advance via email. There is a small private car park (but we didn't use it). Lovely, well laid-out room, comfortable bed with a nice, firm mattress. Big TV and reliable wi-fi (which didn't drop once during our stay). Clean, modern bathroom with excellent shower and a good hairdryer. Room cleaned and tidied, and water and toiletries restocked, each day (as long as you have gone out by around 11 am). Property owner was on site every day from 8:30 to 10:30 am but also available via Whatsapp if anything was needed, and was very quick to respond. Very friendly and helpful and speaks very good English (much better than my Italian!). The road the property is on can get a little busy sometimes, but you can't hear it with the windows shut. If you expect to have the windows open to let a little cool air in, it would be worth taking some ear plugs. There are some small local shops dotted around to pick up snacks and drinks for the room if needed (we used Frutta E Verdure Italbangla which was 4 minutes' walk away). We loved La Bella Modena and will (hopefully) stay again next time we visit Modena.

The room was very clean and spacious and the bed was super comfy, the bathroom is perfect and the shower has an amazing water pressure. We arrive late so they send us all the instructions for the self check in and it was very easy to do it. Another plus it has a private parking on the property. The hotel is walking distance to the downtown, I really recommended.

I stayed for one night in this beautiful villa which is located more or less 500 meters from the beginning of the center of Modena and I found myself quite well. Room 101 with the canopy bed is really very nice, with new furnishings, spacious, bright and clean: we slept really well. The tea/coffee room is an excellent idea for sharing, shame about the lack of some snacks/sweets and therefore the impossibility of having breakfast in the structure. A convenience that I personally missed. Small but convenient parking and the fact of checking in independently is a really nice idea.

I was passing through on holiday in Trentino and spent a night in this property. Beautiful villa, with great attention to detail. The room and bathroom are also excellent. We checked in by phone so we didn't see anyone, but the person was very professional and helpful. For indoor parking, just fasten. Value for money: excellent
