LLilidouWe booked two rooms on the top floor, sharing a small living room, which was perfect for visiting each other without disturbing others. The sloped ceilings in the top floor rooms made them a bit quirky, but the clever design actually made for a unique and interesting stay. The facilities are brand new, as evidenced by the spotless carpets, and the furniture is well-chosen and high-quality. Overall, the cleanliness is excellent. The owner was very responsive and helpful, and breakfast was just right. A special shout-out to the shuttle driver – he was the safest driver we had on our entire trip! 👍 All in all, it's clear this B&B hotel is run with great care and dedication.

GGuest UserThis stay completely exceeded my expectations! The guesthouse's common areas are designed so comfortably, with a clean and soothing natural wood-style lounge area that's perfect for chatting or reading. The room details are also spot-on – clean, tidy, and with bedding so comfortable you won't want to get up.
The biggest surprise was the scenery in the courtyard. The pavilions and rockeries, paired with lush greenery, made strolling around feel like wandering through a small Jiangnan garden, creating an absolutely incredible atmosphere. The owner and staff were all super enthusiastic and accommodating, always ready to help and recommending great local spots to eat and explore, which were all fantastic.
I had a comfortable stay and a wonderful time. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit and highly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserThis stay far exceeded my expectations! The hotel's location is superb, truly achieving ”tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle”—it's conveniently situated, within walking distance of the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area entrance, with easy access to restaurants and transportation, yet cleverly shielded from the noise, ensuring exceptional peace and quiet at night and a restful night's sleep. Upon entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised by its cleanliness; it was spotless, tidy, and the facilities were complete and well-maintained, showing no signs of age or wear, demonstrating the management's dedication. The staff were warm and attentive, and the pick-up service was incredibly convenient, saving us a lot of trouble. Check-in was efficient and considerate, and they patiently answered all my travel questions. The breakfast was also commendable, offering a wide variety of delicious and authentic options, providing ample energy for a day of sightseeing. Overall, both the facilities and the service exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it!

GGuest UserThis time I came to Maolan Forest to play, and the homestay I booked completely exceeded expectations. It was definitely a surprise choice for this trip! First of all, the sanitary condition is particularly reassuring. The room is spotless, and the towels and toiletries are neatly arranged. It can be seen that the cleaning is very careful. It is really rare to be so clean in the mountains. The boss is very enthusiastic and really started to help me ask about carpooling and arrange the itinerary before I arrived. You can also eat freshly made farmhouse meals, and the taste is authentic. The boss will also arrange pick-up and drop-off when going to the attractions, and will also ask to drink local wine when eating. The most important thing is that the price is really affordable. This price can live in such a clean, service-friendly room in the scenic spot, and the price/performance ratio is directly full. The location is also convenient, not far from Qinglongtan and Wuyan Bridge, you can walk to the hiking entrance in a few minutes. Next time I come to Maolan, I will definitely stay here, I really recommend it to friends who come to play!

YYoninaChengThe room was clean and beautiful, with a charming, rustic feel yet modern design. It was very well-equipped, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, making for a very comfortable stay. The location is super close to the scenic area, right next to the exit, which made exploring incredibly convenient! The service was also very attentive and warm. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Xiaoqikong!

GGuest User🌿 Great Emotional Value, Though Some Details Need Improvement
I recently stayed at La Mere Ancienne in Guiyang. Overall, it was a warm experience, but there were some ups and downs.
The Highlights:
The ”Emotional Value” here is excellent. The nine-grid breakfast was both beautiful and delicious, especially the authentic beef rice noodles. Since it wasn't crowded, the waiter spent a lot of time chatting with the elderly members of our family, sharing many interesting fun facts, which made them very happy. We also received a beautiful tie-dye silk scarf as a parting gift. Later on, the staff was patient enough to upgrade our room, and the Yao herbal bath was perfect for removing all our fatigue.
The Downsides:
However, the check-in process left something to be desired. Although the room features a private herbal bath, the staff didn't proactively offer or deliver the herbs until we asked. Additionally, we were told that the afternoon snacks were already sold out when we arrived.
Summary: While the initial service was a bit passive, the subsequent hospitality and the unique atmosphere made up for it. A solid choice, but I hope they can improve their proactiveness during check-in!

Wwissy00I couldn't have asked for better. I was astonished by the service, cleanliness, friendliness, and treatment. All of this at an incredibly low price.
Communicating can be a bit complicated if you don't speak Chinese, as almost no one in this region speaks English. Fortunately, I had someone with me who could. The lovely lady treated us like her own grandchildren and insisted that we eat with her, letting us try typical local dishes. I truly felt at home.
As for the service itself, I was even more surprised. We stayed for two nights, and every day they cleaned the room, changed the towels, provided slippers, a new toothbrush, and a bottle of water. In the evening, she insisted on giving us fruit.
Regarding the location, it's very convenient, as it's just a 10-minute walk from the bus stop that takes you to the main attractions and also to the train station. As a foreign tourist, I highly recommend it!

GGuest UserI'm giving this a full five stars! I came alone during the off-season and booked a day in advance. As soon as I contacted the hotel, they immediately started their concierge service – arranging pick-ups and drop-offs from the station and attractions, and even upgrading my room. The 4th-floor room with a large terrace offered beautiful, quiet views. The hotel's location is peaceful yet incredibly close to all the sights, and they provided great local tips. The service was exceptionally thoughtful, and both the afternoon tea and breakfast were abundant and delicious. The cleanliness was excellent, with disposable bath towels and towel sets provided, and the bedding was very comfortable. The weather was perfect; I even saw morning mist and the sunrise from the terrace. The Yao-style foot bath was just what I needed – after visiting the waterfall and then Daqikong, coming back from exploring the ancient village in the evening and soaking my feet meant I was ready to go again the next day! It was a very comfortable two-day, one-night stay. Everyone I encountered – the concierge, front desk staff, drivers, and the guides and boatmen at the scenic spots – were all wonderful. Thank you for your hard work! I'll definitely be back next time!!!

GGuest UserFacilities: It seems many guesthouses here don't have elevators, but this one does, so no need to carry heavy luggage up stairs, which is great! 😁😁 The smart toilet was also a pleasant surprise.
Cleanliness: Very clean and tidy, extremely satisfied.
Environment: There's a small courtyard with a beautiful bougainvillea archway. Lots of stars at night, and the windows offer views of distant mountains and water—a truly picturesque scene.
Service: The park was closed for the past two days, but the owner called us in advance to let us know, and we still came as planned. Since many shops were closed and we couldn't find anything to eat, the owner personally cooked noodles for us—super delicious! We loved it! We also got to enjoy some tea from the owner 😏 The owner even upgraded our room for free! We didn't see the Big and Small Seven Arches this time, but we'll definitely come back next time and stay here again!

GGuest UserWe stayed here for a few nights. Overall, it was a positive experience.
Check-in: Smooth and easy. We were greeted warmly, and upon arrival, our room was upgraded — a nice bonus.
Room: Clean, with good-quality bedding. The room had everything we needed: air conditioning, towels, toiletries, bottled water, and a projector. Housekeeping was done daily and wasn't intrusive — we could stay in the room if we wanted. When we arrived, the weather was cold outside, so we slept under two blankets — it was warm enough. Hot water was sufficient for two people as long as we didn't shower for too long.
Location: Very convenient — just a few minutes' walk to the East Gate of Xiaoqikong Scenic Area and the bus stop. Plenty of places to eat, grab a drink, and buy daily necessities are nearby.
Noise level: We slept really well — it was quiet and peaceful, with only birdsong in the morning. There was construction going on near the hotel during our stay, but it wasn't disruptive at all; no noise in the morning or evening.
Drawbacks:
· There was a strong smell of cigarettes in the room. If you're sensitive to smoke, it's worth asking for a non-smoking room when booking.
· Although the room was clean, it was clear that the hotel is a bit older — not brand new, but still well-maintained.
Overall, if you're looking for a clean, budget-friendly option with a great location for visiting Xiaoqikong, this is a solid choice. We were happy with our stay.
