When traveling, I am used to chain five-star hotels. I have never booked a homestay before, so I am inevitably nervous. At first, I did not have a clear destination when planning my trip to Guizhou. I was very moved when I saw this castle in the sky by accident, so I decided to go to Dong Village. I can only say that what you see is what you get. What I must evaluate is the service, which exceeded my expectations. As soon as Ctrip was booked, a housekeeper added WeChat and continued to track and inform me of the weather and the May Day activities in the village for half a month before the holiday. Because I arrived in Congyang early in the morning from the Guiyang high-speed rail, the housekeeper arranged a car to pick me up, and the driver was also very considerate. The locals were simple and honest. While waiting for the room in the lobby, juice and coffee were available, and all the staff were enthusiastic and meticulous. The homestay is the best location in the central area of Dong Village, quiet in the bustling city. The two of us booked the 520 castle in the sky that we saw at first sight. It occupies the best viewing position, overlooking the mountains, and feeling relaxed and happy. The room is clean, comfortable, and smart, which should be the top configuration in Dong Village. Yaoyu in the evening, rice noodles for breakfast, considerate greetings, I feel that the management team has a positive and upward career enthusiasm, which makes me and my teammates quite unforgettable. What I want to say is that now all kinds of homestays are springing up like mushrooms after rain. In addition to hardware, the software can also impress people's hearts. I saw the pictures of Xishe.Shantang on Xiaohongshu before and I decided to stay here. This time when I came to Zhaoxing, I chose this place. Facts have proved that the choice was correct. The environment, location, room layout, and hardware of the B&B are all excellent. I am picky. The boss and staff are very nice. They introduce the surrounding attractions and transportation. Even if you don't go out, it is very comfortable to drink tea in the B&B.

Zhaoxing Dong Village Miwu B&B: Beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows and cozy family rooms
Staying at Zhaoxing Dong Village Miwu B&B is simply a feast for the eyes and soul! The view from the floor-to-ceiling windows of the homestay is truly unique. Outside the windows is the picturesque scenery of the Dong village, with stacked stilt houses, quaint drum towers, winding streams, and green mountains and clear waters in the distance. Every frame is as beautiful as a painting. When I woke up in the morning, the sunlight poured into the room through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The morning mist in the Dong village was as ethereal as a veil, making me feel as if I were in a fairyland, which made me feel relaxed and happy.
The facilities in the room are also very thoughtful, with a large and a small bed design that perfectly meets the accommodation needs of the whole family. The big bed is soft and comfortable, and the children can sleep soundly in the small bed. The whole family enjoys a warm and comfortable time here. The owner of the B&B was warm and hospitable, providing us with a lot of thoughtful services. He also patiently explained to us the history and culture of the Dong village, allowing us to have a deeper understanding of this land.
Here, we not only enjoyed the charming scenery, but also felt the warmth of home. Miwu B&B is the most unforgettable place to stay during our trip and is highly recommended to all family tourists who want to experience the Dong village style!

A beautiful place overlooking the rice fields of Zhaoxing! Love the atmosphere and vibes of the place. The view from the room is so gorgeous and the room interior has lovely homely decor as well. The breakfast was simple and hearty. But above all, the owner and staff running the place were really kind and hospitable. The owner contacted me prior to my stay and showed me videos of the available rooms so I could choose which room I preferred. And knowing that I'm a lone girl travelling by myself and reaching the station at night, he kindly borrowed a car to drive me from the station to the hotel so that I wouldn't be left to my own devices in the dark and waived the transport fee for me too. I'm really so grateful for their hospitality!!

Come here to join in the fun during the Grain Rain Festival. It was a very satisfying stay! The location of this homestay is very good. It is not far from the entrance of the village. You don’t need to walk far. If you take the shuttle bus, you can tell the driver to take you to the intersection and walk 50 meters to get there.
The two front desk staff are super nice. Seeing that I am bringing my parents, they upgraded me to a larger room. There are rattan chairs on the balcony, which are very comfortable to sit on. The little brother helped me move the luggage and introduced the whole village tour guide. It rained when I left, and the little sister lent us an umbrella to take us to the bus stop.
I booked a mountain view room, which is very cost-effective. The view room will be more expensive. The little brother took us in for a tour. The balcony scenery is really great and can overlook the entire village. It is even more beautiful at night. I quickly took the camera to take pictures and record what is in front of me.
The room is cleaned very cleanly. The lobby on the first floor is for tea sets. It is also very pleasant to make tea, read books and watch the scenery here. Recommended!

Environment: Near the rice field in the innermost part of the village, it is far from the entrance of the village, but the boss picks up and drops in and out throughout the whole process, so it is convenient. It was very quiet at night, and it was ok to ask the neighbors around it if they were not too noisy.
Service: Great, the boss is very enthusiastic, will pick up the station from the Jiang high-speed rail station, and will send it to the station when you leave. The breakfast is super delicious, a rice noodles are really better than the restaurant. The boss is a Yi nationality. We saw the Drum Tower on the road and asked the boss, he will give us a simple talk. Usually go out to play the boss will also send to the Drum Tower near.
Hygienic: very clean, no smell, the bathroom bed is very clean, the disposable products are of good quality.
Facilities: The furniture is wooden, the photos are good-looking, and it is not cold. We came in early April. The stockade was a bit cold at night. The two air conditioners in the house were turned on and it was warm instantly.
Very satisfied! Will consider staying in Dongzhai next time.

Although it was a blind selection at first, I was really attracted by the windows of this B&B!
The environment is very clean and comfortable, things are very tidy, and the facilities and equipment take the needs of the guests into consideration. I fully feel that I am a ”traveler” and I enjoy it very much. Since I was traveling alone, I originally booked a king-size bed room. The boss upgraded me to a king-size bed with stairs up and down as shown in the picture, provided that there was a room available. It was so comfortable! Needless to say, the scenery on the rooftop is a sight to behold!
The environment of this B&B is very good. Of course, I have to give a good evaluation of the service. The owner specially provides pick-up and drop-off (I personally think that the owner provides this service sincerely from the heart). He also kindly reminded me that since the B&B is made of wood, there might be noise due to soundproofing, but the owner said to contact us at any time. Everyone cooperated with each other and was very harmonious (of course, there was no sound at all when I went home that night, I slept well, and woke up beautifully in the morning, hahaha). After the boss helped me check in, he also patiently explained the general guide to eating, drinking and having fun here. He mainly told me where to go, fearing that I would get lost. I am a person with poor directions, and the boss's map was very nice and easy to read.

The boss is really nice! This is the first time I met such a good B&B owner.
Usually, if the boss is free, there will be a high-speed rail pick-up. This time, the boss was not free, so we took the minibus to the scenic area by ourselves, but it was also very convenient. After entering the scenic area, the boss would come out to pick us up and take us in.
We stayed for two nights. On the third day, we had to check out in the morning due to the schedule. The boss was willing to get up early to send us out early in the morning. Thank you so much! ! !

Great hotel, perfectly located in the front area of Zhaoxing village. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There’s even a coffee bar at the reception (which is rare in China) and something that I enjoyed a lot. The rooms are nice and clean, although not very spacious. But that was no issue for us. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would book there again when we come back for another trip!

Although the B&B is located at the end of the village, it is not far to walk. It also has the advantage of being at the end of the village, that is, it is very quiet at night and very close to the bus stop to Tang'an Terraces. The facilities, hygiene and breakfast of the B&B are very good. The scenery outside the window is beautiful. There is a large farmland outside the window. Great location in Zhaoxing overlooking the historical village in a very quiet area, perfect for who needs rest from the hustle of Chinas big cities. Beautiful, carefully designed and furnished room with wooden floors furniture, very comfortable beds and great bathrooms.
Lots of little extras, like a beautiful reception area with balcony, a generous fruit basket refilled every day, great and healthy breakfast, pick up service from the train station etc.
Young and very friendly hosts, english is hardly spoken but with a translation app communication is easy and the staff are keen on helping you with any questions.
As the house was not fully booked, they surprised us with a free upgrade to a larger room.
Over all, an amazing experience!

The view of the countryside outside the window is very good, and you can have breakfast by the field in the morning. The service of the boss and the boss lady is also very good. After arriving at the entrance of the village, the boss will drive to pick you up. There were not many people on the day of check-in, and I was upgraded to a deluxe room. JJojoleinThe room was large with everything needed. WiFi was poor. No breakfast provided but there are plenty of options nearby. The hotel is located opposite to the entrance gates, which is far when one has a big bag to carry! The staff nevertheless came to pick me up for free by motorbike. The hotel similarly provided on my way out , free shuttle to the high speed train station as my train was early and there were no official transport options. This was so kind. The hotel finally called me one afternoon when some old ethnic ladies paid a visit to the hotel. They chanted and were honoured. It was sweet that the hotel thought to call me to be part of it.

LLeleshikuailedeleyaThe inn is not far from the scenic bus stop. Go up a small slope and cross a bridge and walk a little to reach the main street. There is a sofa at the front desk of the inn, which is very nice for taking pictures. The inns are all made of wooden boards, so the soundproofing requirements cannot be too high, but I didn't hear anything too noisy except for the chirping of insects the day I stayed. The stairs are also made of wooden boards and are extremely narrow, so be careful when carrying luggage.
It was the rainy season when I went there, so the room would be relatively humid, which is understandable.
The bathroom will be relatively small, but the hygiene is okay.
The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and introduced us to the location, route and food of the village.

Consider the hotel was located near the entrance gate and need some vehicle before entering the village, thumb up to the service, it save up your money travel. The hotel is located behind another hotel but its fine, they provide a single use of disposable towel, if u need like the regular absorbent cotton towel need to request the aunty, they also run a restaurant just across the road so u can have some meals over there also. The hot water need to wait for 20 minutes prior heating so need to wait a bit ya. One of the things that need for improvement is the laundry service, during my trip i was told the machine was not working so i need to went across the road whereby the laundry is locating beside their restaurant, no dryer available ,only regular washing and hang up at their balcony after spin. But the response by the owner by wechat was 👍🏻, any problem just reach up to them.

GGuest UserHotel is close to the center of the village, so very convenient for exploring. Hotel room was clean and the hotel very new and modern. External breakfast was offered in the hotel, so you get a voucher to have a breakfast in a small restaurant which is close to the hotel. Staff very helpful, even they didn't speak englisch, but Google Translater helped. Parking for all tourists is outside of the village, so you have to walk to the hotel or you ask for a pick up. Would use this hotel again.

AAnnybeibeiIt was an unforgettable experience to take my son to stay at Zizai Shanju Inn in Zhaoxing Dong Village Scenic Area! Zhaoxing Dong Village is a scenic spot full of ethnic customs, and Zizai Shanju Inn provides you with a comfortable and warm accommodation environment.
After I placed the order, the store contacted me and informed me of all the details of my visit. When they learned that I was bringing a child with me, they also thoughtfully provided me with the weather conditions during our stay and let me know what clothes to bring. After checking in, I was impressed by the details of the inn. Each room is carefully designed with a strong Dong style. You can admire the beautiful Dong architecture and feel the cultural charm of this ancient nation.
The environment around the inn is also very pleasant. Taking my son for a walk in the village, I felt the tranquility and harmony. In the evening, you can also enjoy Dong song and dance performances, which made our journey more colorful.
For my son and I, this stay at Zizai Shanju Inn must be an unforgettable experience. We can appreciate the charm of Dong culture together and enhance our relationship with each other.

- stained towels and bed linen (I wouldn't care, but this hotel is 4 times more expensive than cheap hostels I usually stay in China, so I expect more)
- I found a big spider the size of a hand in my room (but to be honest: I don't blame the owners for that because the spider could just come from the window, so it's not their fault)
- the staff doesn't speak English
Pros:
- It is the cheapest hotel with license to give an accommodation for foreigners in Zhaoxing.
- The receptionist came to my room immediately after my call in his free time and killed that spider I was talking about above. He is my hero! :)
- Apart of stained towels and bed linen the room was cleaner than other rooms in other hostels I stayed in China.
- The hotel has a good location just next to the town's gate.
- I have got a bottle of water for free and all toiletries.
