"We have stayed several times at Asure Fountain Resort Motel, so always head there when in Nelson. The owner Cobber is very helpful & has the place spotless. Lovely rooms, good layout, close to beach & not far from downtown, plus Riccarton shops. Plenty of activities in close proximity, for everyone. Would thoroughly recommend."

"We booked a 2 room cabin, the place was quiet that was nice but the place wasn't clean a dirty oven try left in the oven! Plates with crumbs on them! The bathroom fan didn't work so the cabin was super super damp, no soaps or shampoo dispensers were all empty! The bathroom and toilet door didn't close properly or quietly. The main bedroom must have a leak somewhere it rained on the last day and the carpet in the morning was super wet along the window. Couches were uncomfortable feels like it pushes you head forward and the TV had no Internet connection to watch Netflix like advertised. The place is very run down and needs a really really good clean! The accommodation was close to town and quiet. I wouldn't recommend this place spend an extra $100 and stay somewhere else"

"WOW, wow, and WOW! Don't look any further! Just book here! You won't be disappointed. I can't say enough about the AH house, Nelson City B&B. Wonderful accommodations. We stayed in the Garden apartment, and it was lovely. Big comfortable bed with the nicest sheets and pillows along with a cozy bed warmer for those chilly Nelson evenings. Our hosts Mark and Bruce left no stone uncovered and provided everything needed for a wonderful stay including the coziest robes to wear. Coffee and creamer were also provided so upon waking we could make our own cup of French press coffee. Nice touch. The garden apartment has a beautiful private deck to sit on and enjoy the beautiful garden, complete with whimsical ornaments and gorgeous pottery sprinkled throughout. The garden is like looking at an artistically done garden canvas. AND, if that's not enough, they provide a wonderful, yummy, homemade breakfast in the dining room. The table setting is so beautiful you'll feel like a King or Queen! Mark and Bruce are the perfect hosts and there's a reason they get so many awards for their B&B. I give it a 10 out of 10! But book early. We recommended it to a couple we met while traveling, but sadly for them, it was already booked."

"This was the most disappointing hotel of the trip. I requested a quiet room when booking, but ended up with a room right by the road, and there were even mosquitoes inside. They advertised a kitchen, but it was already locked by 8 PM. After some negotiation, they opened it, but I couldn't find any knives or forks. I just wanted to peel a pear, really."

"Beautiful large one bedroom unit, very clean, has two TV s(one in bedroom). Large bathroom with a spa bath, good shower. Kitchenette has everything you need for simple cooking. Bed is comfortable, electrical blanket is a plus. City view from balcony and mountain views from front verandah are very pleasing. Lovely friendly host lady makes our stay even more enjoyable. Location is central as well, easy drive/walk in and out. Loved it. Highly recommended."

"Excellent stay in a great location - friendly hosts, very comfy bed and wonderfully clean. Car park right out front of my room as well which was really handy. My only suggestion is for the rooms to have sheer/privacy curtains, as there is a big sliding doors and windows that are only slightly tinted, so people can see into your room if they are walking past, so your only option is to close the curtains for privacy and block the sunlight. All in all, a great, no fuss, easy stay. Ask for a room away from the road or bring earplugs."
