Hotel Indigo - Williamsburg - Brooklyn, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is just a 2-3 minute walk after getting off the subway. Overall, the interior and atmosphere of the hotel itself is pretty, but it was a bit disappointing that it took a while for the hot water to come out and there were no basic amenities such as disposable slippers and water. Still, the hotel overall was pretty and clean, so it was much better than the old place in Manhattan.

I missed the first night staying there because my flight got canceled. I tried to call about the circumstances, but nobody picked up. The next day, I came in, my entire booking (4 days, 3 nights) got canceled because I didnt show up on the first day, despite I already paid full for the entire stay. Thankfully, the hotel has the greatest and most helpful front desk officer. He explained to me in details about the rules and his condition, running the hotel on his own (mostly) during the day; hence, it was difficult for him to pick my phone call the previous day. However, he was able to grab me one night stay at the hotel. The hotel was okay, but the front desk service was exquisite!

Clean and tidy and in the city center. The environment is good and the room is comfortable to live in, but the house next to the road will be a bit noisy, and it will be quiet after 9 pm

The room size is ok and there is no pressure to open the big suitcase The decoration is very new, relatively modern style, there is a very comfortable lounge chair, the hygiene is also very good, the front desk has a warm attitude, and the special price is very cost-effective It's a minute or two walk from the subway station. It's very convenient to buy a weekly pass, but there is no elevator in that subway station and it's not very friendly to suitcases. There is a supermarket nearby and there are no security incidents.

The wine was a nice touch and it was a very good chardonnay. The bed was very low but the room was spacious for Brooklyn. The shower curtain was surprisingly dirty at the bottom. Hopefully they will get clean ones or convert to glass. Overall that was the only major complaint. The room was a bit pricey though for what you got.

Where do I start... first, check in was at 3. We arrived at about 3:05 and they told us they didn't have a room. We had already paid. So they had us and some other people wait while they ”looked for rooms” and then had them cleaned. After about 45 minutes of waiting, they said 10 more minutes. 15 minutes after that, I went up to them to say it had now been an hour. They asked ”what's your name again?” and then gave me a room key and told me 805. I go up to 805 and the key doesn't open the door so I start trying other doors and the key opens 806. Then I have to go back down to make sure 806 is in fact my room. This whole time the three young Asian men working at the front desk were extremely standoffish, as if we were annoying them staying at their hotel. We had one small body wash for three people. The next day we went to ask for more body wash and had to wait while the front desk guy talked on his cell phone for a while. He asked when we needed it by and we said... like now? So he gave us another single small body wash. Turns out the ”rooftop bar” of the hotel is not affiliated with the hotel in any way, so you have to pay a cover just to get in. Oh, and although there are signs even in the elevator that you should go to the 24th floor to get there, that is not the case. You have to go outside the hotel and a few doors down, which you wouldn't know, because signs tell you otherwise. I have tried to call the front desk 7 times and each time no one answers. This place seriously sucks.
