"Xiaohongshu hot red hotel, I feel some people speculation, booked skybox, three windows, photo carding is OK, the room is very small, the price is very low, from the front desk, the middle tube, the repairman is Chinese, the hotel is hot and cold There is also a problem with the water, and the water that is released is turbid, making people extremely uneasy and will not live again."

"I stayed there for about a week. I didn't feel the service from the hotel staff was very good, but they did provide a minimum level of service. When I checked in, I was given a welcome drink voucher and a $25 coin that I could use at the hotel's convenience store, so I used it to buy salads, water, etc. The cleaning was very good. After cleaning, two bottles of water were left out regardless of the number of people, which was very helpful. As for the hotel amenities, they only provided the bare minimum, so although they did provide shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, I recommend bringing your own. The location was perfect. It was easy to get to everywhere, and it was about an hour from the airport. Times Square was within walking distance, and there were plenty of food stores, marts, and souvenir shops nearby, so I was able to stay there without any inconvenience."

"Stayed for three nights, the general feeling is average. Location: The location is very good and very convenient. It is across the street from Central Station, where you can take the subway to almost any place in New York. There also seem to be buses to and from LaGuardia and JFK airports, but haven't tried them. There are many places to eat, and there is no problem filling up the stomach, but there does not seem to be a particularly good restaurant. Facilities: The hotel itself is very old, so the rooms are older. Although it is a room facing the street, the windows are too small and the light is always dim. The air conditioner in the room was too loud and had to be turned off while sleeping. Fortunately, I don't need air conditioning when I go. If it is summer, it is probably a big problem. Maybe it is an old relationship, the smell of the room is not very good, but fortunately, the windows can be opened a little bit for ventilation. Service: I have only dealt with the front desk and was very friendly at check-in. Overall, I think it is quite satisfactory, there is nothing to be picky about, and there is nothing outstanding. Breakfast is average, not included in the room rate, needs a la carte, not many choices, average taste. Compared to the price, I feel quite disappointed. However, this is the heart of New York, understand. Will not stay again."

"Except for an extra charge of $ 49 per person per day of the resort fee, this is not acceptable, and I hope to cancel it. Good location, same building with park central. Manhattan club Newly renovated, but the toilet and bathroom in the room are too small, only half the size of the Manhattan club Breakfast was generous and dinner was negligible, Opposite diagonally is Carnegie Hall, the subway station is right out, walk 10 minutes to times square 5 minutes to central park 15 minutes by subway to Wall Street, If you can cancel the resort fee. I will book this hotel every time I go Otherwise, I would still choose Manhattan club"

"Great location….but that’s what you’re paying for. Check in was fast and the staff were welcoming and friendly. There are umbrellas to use in the rainy weather and the front concierge staff are happy and greet you nicely. The location is convenient- close to all main sites of NYC but just far away enough from the noise and bustle so you can have a peaceful night’s sleep. Air conditioning can be adjusted as our room got a little too cool for our comfort. The luxury king room high floor itself is disappointing. Quite a bit more in cost compared to a standard king room, the room doesn’t have any fabulous views or even a bathtub that can accommodate someone comfortably. One website advertises the luxury king rooms have a ‘spa bath’. This is fact is not true and incorrect. Room slippers are very nice and there are enough towels for 2 people. Pillows are too soft and the room furniture is tired-looking. Some peeling wallpaper as well indicating the need for a refit. For the money, there’s no breakfast either and if you wish to extend your checkout after 11am, it’s $100 for 1-3 hours. A bit rich, considering you’re better off getting a lounge pass at the airport or simply go for a walk around this amazing city. To compensate, there’s an awesome diner 50m from the hotel that serves fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bathroom products are lovely- Balmain and there’s only 1 bathrobe in the room, which I thought was strange, considering the booking was for 2 people. No minibar either… why is this?! I would stay again simply because of the location but I would not pay for the luxury king room high floor again, as it’s not worth the money. Keep the location but take a standard room."

"I love Arlo. I stay at Arlo pretty often. But this time was off. I came back to my room in the evening, they cleaned it, but they didn’t take out the trash from the terrace and it started the rain. And I didn’t have coffee capsules (pods) at all. I called to reception and girl was like oh do you have a coffee machine in your room I was like yes I do. And a guy came at 11pm and was cleaning the terrace."

"Really Great location. In the center of the action. If you don't like crowds, this is not for you. Comfy bed. Well heated during winter which was great. The restaurant upstairs was always fully booked, no privileged access to people staying at the hotel. Helpful staff but sometimes too agressive staff for tips. It made us feel a bit uncomfortable at times. Room linens, curtains were dirty. Found some food packaging from the people before us next to the bed so it's not cleaned very well."

AAnonymous UserThis should be an old hotel that has been completely renovated. The room is very beautiful and stylish, and every item is very exquisite. The bathroom is small and the shower water is small, which may be due to the renovation of the old building. But it is worth staying. The bar downstairs looks very good at night. The food ordering in the room tastes great! And fast! There is a small problem. When you deposit your credit card at the front desk, you must bring a chip.

KKitrynThis hotel is immaculate and absolutely everybody is above and beyond pleasant. Though not directly affiliated with the hotel, Inexpensive, super clean and very easily accessible parking is a two minute walk away at 25 Kent St. We paid $64 for 2 1/2 days of parking. The room was incredible. Exposed brick walls with super high ceilings, the bathroom had a huge tub and a wonderful shower. Pro tip: if traveling with someone that you do not want to see you naked, understand that it is not a one-way mirror over the bar and you absolutely CAN see into the shower While someone is showering. Luckily I was with my daughter, so this was not a real issue. The restaurant within the hotel and the Ramen place directly next-door are both wonderful. I did not make it to the rooftop bar this time but since I absolutely will stay at this hotel every time I come to visit I will check it out next time! The room was extremely quiet, temperature was easy to control. Now, a little too much honesty, I am an extremely “sensitive” person, and resting and hearing so much from the second I stepped into this hotel. I was never scared, as I definitely don’t typically get scared, but I had numerous very genuine and very obvious things happen while I say that this hotel, such as seeing things walk across the hall in both my room and the hallway, in the main lobby bathroom someone walked into the bathroom and into the stall next to me, but never left, and when I looked, there was no one there, and I was in the shower. I could hear several men talking to each other as if they were right next to me. I was definitely not hearing people from another room. I also heard the door to the stair well open, which is right next to our room and I was right next to the door so when I looked, there was nobody there and I pulled it shut again. Just out of curiosity, as to what was there prior to the hotel, on the way home my daughter looked up the history to the hotel. Let’s just say it was very enlightening as to why i was experiencing so much activity in this hotel, especially on the third floor next to what I will assume would have been a fire escape at some point. It also may explain why the first thing that went through my mind when I opened the front door of the hotel and turned to my daughter and said “I’m surprised the hotel gets away with door opening inward. It goes against fire code. Anyway, You can look up the history yourself and understand all that I have said. :-) either way, a spectacular hotel at a decent price and a very safe and beautiful part of the city. I will definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserHotel experience: In terms of hotel experience, users are generally satisfied with the cleanliness, comfort and novelty of the hotel facilities. For example, one user mentioned that the hotel facilities are new, the service staff has a good attitude, and the price-performance ratio is high4. Another user described in detail the decoration style of the hotel lobby and rooms, which is a bit old, but the service details and facilities are well maintained5.

LLyss_ssI made a reservation online for 4 days, and on the 4th day I went to the hotel front desk to renew for 2 more days for a total of 6 nights (renewal on site was very expensive, official website price). During this period, I changed rooms once because the room I got for the first time was too low and had no view. The facilities are rudimentary, and there are no slippers and pajamas. Not to mention that many American hotels don’t have them. The ambient light under the bed in the second room was broken. The wardrobe door was deformed and could not be closed. When the right cabinet door was opened, it would hit the bulge on the top. The air outlet can only be opened to about 60 degrees and cannot be fully opened. The faucet is obviously too short and difficult to use. These are all errors in design and construction, which are outrageous. One night at 1:30 in the morning, the fire alarm in the room announced that there was a fire. After broadcasting it four times, we all planned to run away. Then the broadcast said it was okay. The alarm buzzer and the loudspeaker were loud. The white girl next door said that she immediately went to find a job. Personnel but no one, outrageous. The staff are very good-looking. The design of the hotel space is very good. As we all know, there is no design in the United States, so we come here just for the sense of design. The experience is average. If I go to New York again, I will not come back.

IIceQueenLocation: 5/5 The Hyatt Grand Central New York is perfectly situated in the heart of Manhattan, directly connected to Grand Central Terminal. This prime location makes it incredibly convenient for travelers, offering easy access to public transportation, iconic landmarks like Times Square, Bryant Park, and the Empire State Building, all within walking distance. Check-in & Service: 4/5 The check-in process is smooth, with friendly and professional staff ensuring a warm welcome. The front desk is efficient, but during peak hours, there may be a slight wait. The concierge is knowledgeable and helpful, providing excellent recommendations for dining and sightseeing. Rooms: 4/5 The rooms are spacious by New York City standards, modern, and well-maintained. Comfortable beds, large windows, and blackout curtains contribute to a restful stay. However, some guests may find the decor a bit dated compared to other luxury properties in the city. The bathrooms are clean, though on the smaller side, which is typical for NYC hotels. Amenities: 3.5/5 The hotel offers essential amenities like a fitness center, business center, and meeting spaces. However, there is no on-site restaurant or bar, which some travelers might miss. That said, the hotel’s proximity to Grand Central provides access to a variety of dining options. Cleanliness: 4.5/5 Housekeeping services are thorough and timely. The common areas, including the lobby and hallways, are kept clean and well-organized. Guests consistently report a high level of cleanliness in the rooms. Value for Money: 4/5 For its prime location and the comfort it provides, the Hyatt Grand Central offers good value for money. Rates can fluctuate significantly depending on the season, but the convenience of being so centrally located often justifies the price. Overall Verdict The Hyatt Grand Central New York is an excellent choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and easy access to public transport. While it may not offer the ultra-luxury experience of higher-end properties, it provides a well-rounded, reliable stay in the heart of the city. Ideal for both business and leisure travelers, it’s a smart option for those who prioritize location. Pros: • Unbeatable location at Grand Central • Spacious, clean rooms with comfortable beds • Friendly and efficient service Cons: • No on-site restaurant or bar • Room decor could use a refresh

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is strategic in Madison square close (but not too much to be confusing) to Times Square. It should be noted that, however, it is located in a busy street with the stadium next to it and if there is a match in the evening, you can hear it!! Satisfactory breakfast included with the possibility of making your own waffles :). The room was spacious (for two it was fine) there was no hairdryer and it was immediately brought to me by the very kind reception girls. Average price in the city.

AAnonymous UserManaged to arrive early and allowed early check-in at 1pm plus instead of 4pm. The caucasian woman stationed at the check-in counter was not the most friendly person. I passed her my credit card and was waiting for her to instruct me to sign for receipt. After a long pause, i realized i have to do something with the machine, and asked her where do i click for the machine. She did not respond kindly. I understand not every American has travelled widely and tends to provide poorer quality services as compared internationally. Hereby pointing this out, as a matter of fact, the hotel need to understand not every country use the same brand of credit card machine/POS as the Americans. The hotel staff should not expect foreign guests to know how the machine or hotel works. Also, there is no instruction on the machine ‘Please sign here’. The staff should at least provide a verbal instruction for signature on the machine. If the staff cannot be bothered with providing verbal instructions, please paste a visual aid on the machine at the minimum. Thankfully, the asian guy during check out was much friendlier and tried to start a conversation, but i was having a cold so i tried to minimise interaction. The interiors were old fashioned like in 90s. Fortunately, the room was clean and lit with multiple lamps around the room. As with most reviews, I was charged twice on my credit card on first day and last day each. Asking for a refund through my card service now as unauthorised charge was made on the last day and it wasn’t even on the receipt/expense report. I would gladly just pay for everything on my Day one, instead of going through such trouble. No receipt for deposit or cancellation, unlike other hotels i have been to. Service and amenities are average. No slippers available in the room. Locker for valuables provided. Own coffee machine provided in-room, but don’t set high expectations as it’s not Nespresso. There is no in-room dining menu for reference, even if i want to get. 30$USD destination fee per night is compulsory but exchangeable for 2hr bike rental in central park for two pax or food in the hotel. It feels like the hotel wants to charge you extra but don’t want to provide the service paid. I didn’t bother to purchase food from hotel as the reviews were average. Recommend to visit Los Tacos No. 1 & Broad Nosh Bagels a few blocks away for breakfast and lunch. The best point and only positive point is the hotel location. Just behind MoMA and near proximity landmarks such as Rockefeller Centre, and two streets away from 5th Avenue and Central Park. Only stayed here for convenience as a friend was also staying in the same hotel for business needs.
