"We visited Shaolin Temple and stayed at the Dengfeng Zhenyouyuan Hotel. It's right next to a martial arts school, and across the street is a resettlement village formerly part of Shaolin Temple Village. Why did I forget to take a picture of the hotel's panoramic view? There's a huge parking lot in front, no gate, making parking very convenient – ​​a blessing for those traveling by car. The hotel reception and room service were warm and attentive. The rooms were large and clean. The only downside was the restaurant on the first floor. The older women serving there had extremely poor attitudes. We wanted dinner, and it took a long time for someone to respond. They just said they couldn't finish without giving a reason. Was it really that hard to explain that they were too busy with tour groups? The breakfast was the same; the main dishes were all cold, and they were semi-dried steamed buns. I complained to the front desk, and they said the restaurant was outsourced. But how would guests know if the restaurant was outsourced? Their service negatively impacted the overall hotel experience and lowered the overall rating."

"Great homestay with friendly and serviceminded hosts The Dengfeng Youlu Homestay was a very nice experience and can be highly recommended. The rooms were very clean and modern. Spacious and with comfortable beds. The bathroom was also modern with nice amenities. The location is a little outside the city, but closer to the main attractions to Mount Song. So easy to reach with taxi. We found the location very good and convenient since we wanted to go to the scenic areas. We had breakfast included and found it very tasty and nice. It was plain and fresh and a nice selection of nutritious food before starting the day. The service was very good. The hosts didn’t speak much English, but we used translator apps so absolutely no problem for foreigners. The Dengfeng Youlu honestly has a nice compound with a Chinese garden. They also have a pool. It looks very comfy and cosy to sit and enjoy the garden, but we were there in beginning January so it was wintertime. The room we got had nice view of the garden and the mountains. We can for sure recommend this homestay and we think the reviews written so fare are very correct."

Для неиностранцев можно приобрести годовую карту посещения в Шаолинь. Была в разные дни на представлении шаолинских монахов - разные учителя, разные группы, разные впечатления. На выходе из зала не проходите мимо массажного салона (100 юаней) Потом монастырь, есть канатная дорога. Если приедете рано - успеете подняться в пещеру Дама (под золотым куполом). Один день была прогулка по горам выше хостела - такая тишина. Дорога одна, не заблудиться. Очень благодарна хозяйке, рекомендую. На фотографии ориентир после дома."
