Booked a room here for a sunday night break in Newcastle Very good location and we had a room that overlooked the Tyne and Tyne Bridge. Staff were friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay , as with every other Premier Inn we have visited the bed was really comfortable. And the shower i had to mention was very powerful and had the best relaxing time in . Would definitely recommend .

5th floor accomadation served by lift to 4th floor not much natural light or view from the available small window in a room in need of redecoration. Main heating not working - look like it's been replaced a number of times too ... room currently comes with noise & light from Tyne bridge revamp also comes with lots of noise from the gulls in the area ... be aware it is a steep climb into town / nearest Metro station Staff good, food ok, everything elase as you would anticipate.

Claims of a great nights sleep, guaranteed, are totally unfounded. Black out curtains that don't even fit the windows, with curtain tracks 20cm too short for the windows, kept barely any light out during the night or in the morning. Reported to reception who said it was a known issue ( clearly no desire to resolve it) and maintenance could not fix it as they had no other curtains. The hotel was also full so there was nothing they could do. The bathroom was also shocking with black mould around the bath. Add that to an electric radiator that clicked and banged all night (unable to switch off as it's controls are locked remotely) and you end up with around 3 hours sleep max. Premier inn are no longer premier and if you are booking in Newcastle then think twice of booking this very tired and outdated hotel. Pictures are of the room with the curtains fully closed ... hardly black out!

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Poorly maintained, shabby, indifferent staff, dirty. Ruined our weekend as the bathroom was so disgusting. I got a partial refund but not enough. Premier inn should be ashamed of themselves for selling rooms. It is an embarrassment to their normally excellent brand ...we stay regularly with them.

The rooms are very tired, shabby, unclean and you can't see out the windows because of the filth on them. The breakfasts are utterly tasteless, bland and the cooked food is dried up fodder. This represent very poor value for money. Better food can be had just around the corner at Quay Ingredient which is simply excellent. Extractor fan didn't work and the sink was blocked. Advised reception but nothing was done in the two days I was there.

Great location, great breakfast, great lounge bar. I will definitely use the hotel again. Two minute walk to great bars, restaurants, and entertainment. Have a walk along the quayside, people are friendly, staff are great, check in easy.

I have stayed in a lot of premier inns and you normally know what you are going to get. A decent bed and simple but relatively modern room. This hotel is a disgrace and an absolute dump way below premier inn standards. No heating so they have installed an electrical radiator right by the bed that clangs all night, can’t turn it off. Bathroom is dated and tiny. Everything looks dirty and hasn’t been refreshed since the 90s. Windows so dirty you can’t see out of them and blackout curtains that don’t fit the windows, not exactly good for a night sleep. Very disappointed and would never come here again. Pick another premier inn don’t come here. Photos on the website are not a reflection of reality.

Very nice hotel in a stunning old building with great views from our hotel room windows. Premier Inn beds are always our favourite and we will always choose to stay in one of their hotels if possible! The people are always super friendly and the breakfast is delicious as well!
