"Very good location next to train station. Very quiet location but also orime for shopping and night life. Short walk. Local shops and takeaways. Abundance of chain restaurants short distance. Apartments very clean, and had everything required. Was better than a hotel stay. Could cook and had dishwasher if needed. Free 24 hour tea and coffee from lobby and complimentary quants in the morning. Staff are very friendly and helped for local restaurant selection. They also support the homeless when you purchases slippers. They also offer discount for a car park 5 min walk away. Would definitely stay here again"

"Greta location and great front desk staff and that’s about it. Very tired hotel and the rooms feel grubby. Our bathroom floor wasn’t clean including toe nail clippings from a previous guest and something stuck on the toilet bowl. Carpets were stained and worn looking. TV sound level is restricted to 15 which I could t hear from the bed. Temperature is centrally controlled so the room was hot. Only one pillow per bed and it was hard so all in all a rubbish night."

"Cosalt Business Park, Newcastle - Receptionist (R**n) had a slight attitude problem upon check-in (not a good start !) and this got even worse when taking the order for, and serving, dinner. The "manager" (K****n) prompted for feedback upon check-out but really wasn't interested and displayed the same type of attitude as R**n; he eventually "dismissed" me (like a teacher speaking to a pupil) by saying "I won't keep you any longer, you've told me the story". Very poor. The room was OK, clean enough but there was no hand soap by the basin (but we used the shower gel) and the heating unit was very noisy."

"Where to start… if you are a masochist then you are in luck! Hard bed. Extortionate parking (20 a day). **** and alcohol fuelled neighbours wandering the streets, screaming and yelling, making sure you never enjoy more than an hours sleep and a bathroom that is so badly designed, you can’t have a bath or a shower! The scrambled eggs at breakfast are a solid, tasteless lump of yellowish matter. A true delight! To get into the car park we had to get the rough sleepers to move so we could drive down the access tunnel, which they were sleeping in. Nice guys and I was very uncomfortable having them pick up their belongings to allow me access. It felt very wrong. When we checked in we were told the car park is privately owned and despite the hotel advertising it at £10 per day, the charge is in fact, £20. Payable immediately. I’d rather that extra went to the guys in the tunnel. It was clear the front desk knew of the issues with false pricing online but don’t care. We went upstairs and found our deluxe room was anything but. The bath was so small, that as a 5 foot tall women, it was still too small for me! This did not prove to be an issue as the plug didn’t work and water just drained straight out. The shower is a fixed head, and was two foot above me. Designed for a man and of little practical use to me. I did ask for the plug to be fixed. It wasn’t! Could not wait to leave! Horrible experience around."

"On the whole the hotel was lovely, the staff very helpful. The downside for me was the shampoo was up high for people having a shower, so when in the bath I could not reach, it was screwed in so I could not bring it down to the bath. Having not long had a hip replacement standing up in the bath to reach the shampoo was not an option. There is no air conditioning in the room, there is a fan, but it did not cool the room. I hear that the hotel is going to be under new management at some point this year and they will be refurbishing the rooms, so hopefully they will install air conditioning. Also, there was no safe in the room for valuables. The breakfast was a buffet style, and was warm not hot, and with the air conditioning on, the food went cold which was a shame. We did dine one evening and the food was really nice. We used the pool facilities and jacuzzi, very nice experience. I loved my room it was a good size, massive bed, and a fridge, which was handy for cold water etc. If you needed extra tea, milk etc the staff would sort it for you."

"Good location, but our twin room little tired... beds so hard and uncomfortable, hardly slept. Not cheap either and we were midweek!. We were at rear hotel / ground floor and bit noisy with delivery drivers etc early hours and fast food places nearby. Fab pub next door and regular bus into town was great. You cannot book in til after 3pm strictly! Unless you pay extra. But, overall very clean and staff were really wonderful. Just needs bit face-lift to join realms of other travel lodges..."

I replied, "Our room had such a high and big window, it probably couldn't hold inmates..." But perhaps because it was a fire station and police station, the yang energy was so strong that I woke up sweating profusely three nights even with the air conditioning off; the local nighttime temperature was close to zero degrees Celsius..."
