"Very easy checked in and out. Hotel is very near to the Newcastle Central train station and attractions. Although encountering small issues with the room air conditioner, the issue was fast being resolved and the staff in charged was very kind to give us the breakfast as a token of compensation. All the staff are friendly and a hotel to stay when you’re here in Newcastle."

a4292The hotel is a bit out of the way, and while the surroundings are very quiet, it felt a little unsafe to go out after dark. It was a pleasant surprise that the front desk staff had their own translation device, and the restaurant even offered hot water, showing the hotel's inclusivity and genuine hospitality towards guests from all over the world. The room was spacious and well-equipped, and parking was convenient.

Good location.
The bathroom in my room had an unpleasant odour, smell, possibly the pipes from the toilets, was clean but the smell was very unpleasant. Bathroom needs ripping out & updating & new pipes for toilet. Not good for light sleepers like myself - can hear drunks outside & people outside at night. The train going past on the bridge is a lil noisy & the guests in other room made noise. Comfy bed & nice sized room & view. Hard working housekeepers who do an EXCELLENT job 💫💫💫 Good value for money.

Room was very tired. This use to be a lovely hotel but now, from our recent experience, it’s very much fur coat and no knickers. Lovely reception bar and dinning areas but our room was definitely not what Hilton use to stand for. Our room was very very tired. The wood work was all chipped and looking shabby, the pleather head board had numerous bare/worn areas and there was mould in the bathroom. Not sure if all rooms have these issues our just the ones you get if booked through trip.com.

Guest UserThe hotel is located next to Newcastle Central station minutes from the Cathedral, the Castle, the centre of the city near Monument. The hotel entrance has a faded grandeur that isn't intimidating, more comfortably worn. The room was cosy with bathtub and shower. The WiFi was a little temperamental but works fine. A plus for me was the pool and spa facilities at the hotel. Nothing better than a swim to start the day. Excellent location and good value hotel.

The location of the hotel is right opposite St James’ Park stadium, which is perfect as we were there to watch Newcastle United Football Club’s matches. It is easily accessible to every area of the town and also walkable to the city centre and the train station. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Sandman Signature Newcastle hotel and would recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Newcastle!

Guest UserThey have a coffee/tea/ hot chocolate corner with a microwave. Next to it a chill out space with tables and TV.
Nice clean showers and toilet in the room.
One shower was missing shampoo and soap and only had conditioner.

The room wasn't clean. I checked in early as an IHG member benefit at noon, but there was dust on the counter, hair on the bed, and even someone else's underwear behind the curtains!?! I had to inspect and clean it myself. The bed and pillows are very soft, which might depend on personal preference. The breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of continental options. The location is superb, only about a five to six-minute walk from the train station.

chaonan huangWe had a really good stay here. The staff were kind, helpful, and professional throughout. When our air conditioning was not working properly, we called for assistance and someone came to check it within five minutes, which was impressive. At check-in, the staff also recommended some places to visit nearby, which was very helpful. Breakfast was made to order, so you could choose what you liked from the menu. I thought this was a brilliant idea, as it helps reduce waste and gives guests more choice.

Anonymous UserThe hotel is conveniently located near the train station, but it’s quite a walk to the main attractions. The reception staff were very friendly, and the service overall was excellent. However, the hotel itself feels a bit dated and could use some renovation.

H the explorerIdeal location right by the train station. Hotel room was lovely, beds comfortable, shower warm - large spacious room. Mini bar also. Hotel staff friendly breakfast was available at extra charge but did not have it. Would stay here again.
