Lovely hotel the staff where welcoming we even checked in early with no issues. Free tea, coffee, water in reception. It’s an easy 10 minute walk into the centre. Rooms are very clean and even have a kitchen. will book again.

manchester to newcastleHelpful friendly staff at reception
Good location.
The bathroom in my room had an unpleasant odour, smell, possibly the pipes from the toilets, was clean but the smell was very unpleasant. Bathroom needs ripping out & updating & new pipes for toilet. Not good for light sleepers like myself - can hear drunks outside & people outside at night. The train going past on the bridge is a lil noisy & the guests in other room made noise. Comfy bed & nice sized room & view. Hard working housekeepers who do an EXCELLENT job 💫💫💫 Good value for money.

I think this could be a really nice hotel with a few tweaks. The location is great, down a quiet side street away from traffic and noisy bars/clubs. Our room was a good size and felt comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and check in/out was fast and easy.
The main let-down was cleanliness. I felt the cleaning could be more thorough, especially in the bathroom, as the grout was visibly pink. There was also dust under the desk and behind the chair.
Noise was also a problem for us. I understand that this is not the fault of the hotel but the guests, but the noise does travel quite easily so I was woken up late night and early morning. Doors could be adjusted so they don't slam and the rooms could be better soundproofed.

Room was very tired. This use to be a lovely hotel but now, from our recent experience, it’s very much fur coat and no knickers. Lovely reception bar and dinning areas but our room was definitely not what Hilton use to stand for. Our room was very very tired. The wood work was all chipped and looking shabby, the pleather head board had numerous bare/worn areas and there was mould in the bathroom. Not sure if all rooms have these issues our just the ones you get if booked through trip.com.

Guest UserLocation was excellent, next to the train station.
The cosy room would definitely not be my choice again. Ok if travelling on your own, but as a couple not ideal.
Breakfast was the best I have ever experienced.
Staff all friendly.
Will definitely want to stay in this hotel if I ever went to Newcastle again.

Guest UserBooked a room away from the lift. Gave us a room next to the lift. Went down to see ifcwe could get it changed as we wanted a quiet room On check in we requested this so obviously next to the lift facing the stack is not a quiet room. Next room was directly above the hotels air conditioning unit gave up as obviously the receptionist was having a serious customer service melt down especially when we went out 10 minutes later and she called over ..is that room OK for you? Obviously not as the air conditioning unit screamed all night long we just said yes as what was the best room going to be ?? Certainly will not be back thanks to the totally piss taking receptionist

HuantiandinghudelangmanThe facilities are relatively new, but there's no main light in the bedroom, making it very dim at night. The bathroom is quite spacious, but lacks heating. The shower has great water pressure, which is a plus. There's a mini-fridge with two complimentary bottles of water, and you can ask the front desk for more if needed.
The cleanliness was generally acceptable.
The hotel's location is close to the train station. You can faintly hear the train from the room, but it wasn't a major issue. It's an 8-minute walk from the train station to the hotel, but you have to go around the front of the station to get to the back where the hotel is situated. This can be a bit challenging if you have heavy luggage, as the path isn't entirely flat and requires some effort.
For service, the front desk offers luggage storage. However, there was only one person at the front desk during check-in, so I had to wait for quite a while.

Guest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to Newcastle Central Station, and just a few minutes' walk from the city center and major transport links. Value for money: The hotel offers a good stay at a reasonable price. While the facilities are a bit dated, the rooms are comfortable and meet basic needs.

Guest UserThe location is excellent, directly opposite Newcastle train station. The day before, I stayed at the Hampton next door. The price increased significantly the next day, so I moved to this one, which had a stable price. However, it was really bad, and I advise my fellow countrymen to be cautious about staying here.
The room itself matched the merchant's photos. The bathroom was generally spacious, but there was a significant waste of space. It shouldn't have been designed like this after a renovation. I've never seen such a ridiculously designed sink; the faucet is too close to the basin, so simply washing your hands causes water to spill all over the floor. There's also no floor drain in the bathroom, so we had to cover the entire floor with towels.
Also, a £50 deposit is required upon check-in, authorized via credit card. Other hotels usually release it immediately upon checkout. I specifically asked when checking out, and they said it would take 'a few days.' I don't understand why. I waited a week and it still wasn't refunded. After Ctrip customer service intervened, it was immediately refunded. Truly outrageous.
Personally, I think as long as the Hampton by Hilton next door isn't more than 50% more expensive, I'd still recommend staying at the Hampton. It has better facilities, includes breakfast, and the service is better. Don't come here to be annoyed.
