Love everything about this hotel except for one important complaint that the pillows are small and lacking support causing neck pain the next day. Please let me know if you offer other pillows and we will definite back !

外観はかなりくたびれている。が、到着するとまずチェックインが早い。無駄がない。ラウンジではどら焼きやコーヒーゼリー、アイスなどがあり、子供も喜ぶ。部屋はいたって普通。水は沸かして飲んでくれと。言えば持ってきてくれたが、常備してもらいたい。それと敷布団の薄いところ。この2点がマイナス。食事は贅沢なものではないが品数も充分で満足。食事処としては味気ない広間だが。こちらの特筆すべきは、スタッフ。皆さん全力でもてなそうという心意気を感じる。とても頑張っている。

岩室温泉には一度行ってみたかったので、今回お手頃なプランがあったので、宿泊してみました。可もなく、不可もない温泉ホテルでした。自家源泉が硫黄の香りで、少し苦手。

９月最初の金曜日、弥彦神社参拝の後、家内と１泊お世話になりました。外見は昭和のにおいがする年季物。到着と同時に玄関から誘導のスタッフが現われました。そのスタッフに誘われフロントでチェックイン。内部は綺麗に改装されています。食事等の説明を聞いた後、３階の客室へ。もと和室であったと思われるお部屋は、フローリング張りのツインベッドルーム。入り口で靴を脱ぎ、素足で過ごすスタイルです。頑張って改装した感が見られますが、ツインの部屋の中では一番安価な部屋なので、質感はそれなりかと。さて特筆なのは温泉で、内湯・露天共にほのかに硫黄の香る湯は柔らかく、いつまでも入っていたくなるものでした。水風呂はありませんがコンパクトなサウナもあり、平日な事もあって、ほぼ独り占めで利用する事が出来ました。このサウナは朝風呂時も利用できるので、ひと汗かいた後露天横のベンチで横になり、朝の澄んだ空を見上げれば、体も心も綺麗になるような気がしました。夕食は２階のお食事処でコース料理を、朝は１階のロビーラウンジにてビュッフェスタイルでいただきます。質・量ともに満足いくもので、地元食材や郷土料理を取り入れた工夫もされていて大変美味しくいただきました。さすがは米どころだけあり、白米の美味しさは格別です。夕食時にちょっとしたトラブルが有ったのですが、翌朝のチェックアウト時、女将から丁寧なお詫びのご挨拶があり、スタッフさんもしっかりされている事を改めて感じました。周辺に何もない山里の温泉街なので、宿本来の過ごし方を楽しめたひと時でした。お世話になり有難うございました。
