The staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. Bonus was being able to leave car in the car park after checking out so made it easy to look around the city. Very good value for money and would definitely stay again.

The friendly hotel staff welcomed us in, even though we had arrived 3 hours early. We asked if we could leave our car in the car park and come back later to check in, but they said our room was actually ready and we could check in immediately. The room was clean, with a microwave, kettle and fridge. The bed was very comfortable and the room was warm and quiet overnight. The decent sized bathroom had a good, spacious shower. There were towels and complimentary toiletries, and the only fault we found was the TV remote needed new batteries, a problem that was immediately and quickly resolved. The hotel is easy to find, with a free car park, and about ten minutes or so walk (to the right) straight to the city centre. A few yards up the road (to the left) is the Black Horse pub, which serves wonderful food. We thought it was a very good hotel, and very good value for the money. We would certainly return and stay again.

After booking this hotel and then reading a lot of reviews.. I was very worried about staying here, some of the reviews were awful.. but I can honestly say we had a great stay. The hotel is situated near to the city which was brilliant, the room wasn’t perfect but it was clean, the sheets were clean and we had a set of towels each. We had no loo rolls but this was no problem for the lovely receptionist she got some for us. I think for what you pay some guests need to understand that this hotel is not the ritz.. but if there are any issues staff are more than happy to help. Everyone has their preferences I understand that but we had a lovely stay and we will definitely stay again 😊

Truly a budget hotel. Everything is done on the cheap. WiFi is unreliable, tv is unusable because it is all logins to streaming sites. You cannot just turn it on & watch. The hot water works occasionally. Parking is the only reason I stay. £60 a night is expensive for what it is.

Similarly to 'Arthur' below I parked in the car park and had a problem with the app. Eventually paid but received a £60 fine notice from Euro Parking Services, which despite my appeal explaining and sending receipts and text confirmations, they refuse to cancel. Doesn't reflect well on the Hotel and any guests staying should beware the parking facilities!

I stayed at this hotel as a solo traveller for 2 nights, the room was very basic, directly next to the front door of the property, there were several dusty and dirty surfaces in the room, due to the location of this room I was woken several times due to people coming and going. I considered complaining and cancelling the 2nd night but stayed. During the 2nd night I was woken by a man or men shouting and banging the front door. I was scared that this person would bang on my window, break it and enter the hotel. I wrote to the hotel about my experience but have had no response or reaction. The bed was reasonable and the parking was great but that was about it, never staying here again!

Parked at the Earlham hotel to visit the beautiful plantation gardens. Struggled to pay as didn't have a meter so had to go through the hassle of downloading an app creating an account, finding I already had an account and then having to reset my password. After doing this I paid for my two hours. To my shock I received a parking fine two weeks later for not having paid anything! I demonstrated my payment recepit and the fine was still upheld. Apparently I was delayed to long in paying once the car entered the car park. I imagine I'm not the first as it is not an easy way to pay. My advice is park on a side street in the golden triangle and walk 10 minutes. Not worth the £60-£100 fine. If you do get a fine don't you dare appeal it to the independent parking body as the "discounted rate" will be immediately taken away from you. All very dodgy.

Circumstances led me to stay here 3 times during July. It delivers a great experience at a great price. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The location is perfect. I made a booking error but they resolved this swiftly and provided me an alternative room without any fuss. All the rooms were clean. You are on a main route into the City and so get emergency services vehicles at various times passing the hotel, but you would get that on any main road. Great location with a short walk to Norwich centre. Thank you to the people that manage and maintain this hotel, nothing is too much trouble.

This is a really basic hotel. It was clean admittedly but that and the fact that it was next door to a beautiful garden were the only good things about it. Oh, and the member of staff who checked us in was quite friendly. Only one pillow per bed and one rather small sized bath towel each. The blind didn't shut out the light so l was awakened early. The mattress was covered in only one thin sheet so a tab on it made it quite uncomfortable for me. There was no bedside lamp so one of us had to get up to switch off the ceiling light. Although it wasn't a big problem for us as we were only there one night there was no fridge despite the room description stating it included one. Also l discovered that our room key card opened other room doors too when l tried to get into the wrong room accidentally. We were in the annex not in the main hotel building so l don't know if that made a difference to the quality of the room. We certainly won't be coming back.
