Tenuta Olive Alive

This B&b is very well located to explore the south east of Sicily, but is also a beautiful place to simply relax. House and garden are perfectly maintained with very clean rooms, nice and stylish decorations (both in the house, and in the garden) and a pool overlooking the valley. Host Italo really is an Italian gentleman, ready to welcome, to provide suggestions for trips and restaurants, and to give insights in Sicilian culture en history. He’s supported by a most friendly and dedicated team taking care of a delicious breakfast, tasty dinner, and smooth maintenance of house and rooms.

What a wonderful experience. We booked this hotel at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances and were welcomed with open arms. The property is located high in the mountains with a perfect view overlooking Noto. The steep drive up was well worth it. The hospitality was incredible. The owner prepared a delicious meal for us and two other couples with fresh ingredients directly from his property. It was the best meal we had over our 2-week trip. The views from all corners of the villa were breathtaking. This was a perfect ending to our Sicily vacation.

Olive Alive is a wonderful place to stay! It was everything we hoped for and we highly recommend it as a relaxing retreat. The staff is very kind and Italo clearly has a lot of pride in the area and hotel. Very quiet, calm and relaxing in a perfectly maintained place. We loved the attention to detail. There is a spectacular clear view to the town and ocean from many places on the property.The pool is clean and refreshing and we went daily. We enjoyed a steam room which we had Italo prepare for us. Their 2 dogs and cats were cute as well and very sweet. The breakfast is farm fresh and includes many things from on the property like fresh grape juice and olive oil. Perhaps the best marmalades I’ve ever tasted (try them all). We also had a 5 course dinner on site that was an extra cost and we loved it! Italo bought food fresh from the market and shared his process as they served the dishes. It was very charming and a private dining experience by the pool. It’s also not far from trips to wineries, the town, and nearby beaches. We mostly drove 13-30 minutes to things and once arranged a town car to drive to a nearby wine tasting for 50 euros each way.

We visited for 4 nights with our two kids (10 & 8). It was an incredible stay and one that we will all remember for years to come. It was the perfect way to start our trip to Italy. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage which was perfect for our family. The 2nd bedroom is a loft area which the kids loved. The cottage is authentic and charming but has good air conditioning, a washing machine, and a well-stocked kitchen. We ate on the patio often and enjoyed the views of Noto and the ocean in the distance. In addition to the many olive trees, there are citrus trees all around. Our kids got lemons from the trees and made lemonade one day. Italo is a great host. He is easy to communicate with and provides great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The first night, we ate by pool at the hotel. Italo and his assistant Amanda cooked an awesome Sicilian meal for us which we all enjoyed. We also really enjoyed the happy hours around the pool each afternoon. Amanda took excellent care of us and our children and brought out many great snacks. She was very kind and provided excellent service. There is also a nice daily breakfast service outside of the main building by the fountains. We really enjoyed that each day. The olive oil that they manufacture is incredible. We used our stay as a base for day trips to various spots in Sicily. We went to Noto, Siricusa/Ortigya, Modica, and a day at a local beach club. Each afternoon we came back to enjoy the resort and relax. If you want a beautiful, authentic, well-located, and low-key way to experience this part of Sicily, this is where you will want to stay. Highly recommend.

Fantastic and wonderful place to stay. You are on a paradise created by Italo, an Italian man with a big heart and fine taste. The domain is like in a dream. Each second you relax and enjoy. Perfect distance of to the Baroque city Noto, Syracuse, Modica, Catania and many more

This small hotel is perfect in every way: - gorgeous, rural setting - refreshing pool with a view of Noto - warm host/owner. Italo made us feel as comfortable as family - well located for exploring the area. - great recommendations for restaurants and activities. - delicious breakfast with homemade jams and treats. To top it off, our host, Italo cooked us a very special dinner for my birthday, navigating dietary requests with ease. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer. We already want to go back.
