Daiwa Roynet Hotel Numazu ★★★★

📍 Otemachi, 1 Chome−1−4 プラサヴェルデ, Numazu

"This was my favorite hotel during my trip to Japan. The price was reasonable, and the citizen's center where we had our conference was right downstairs. It's excellent! The subway station is only about 200 meters away, which is very convenient. The best part is the room is spacious, and you can see Mount Fuji right from the window. The breakfast is a full buffet and very rich. They even provide bath powder, toiletries, and for lotions and toners, it's Sekkisei! The service attitude was also great."

There's food available in the shopping mall at the south exit, or you can head to Numazu Port for food. You won't miss out on dining here."

"A very bad experience. It is neither a hotel nor a B&B. It is my own house. The owner neither speaks English nor uses translation software and cannot communicate throughout the process! How dare a hotel like this have the guts to accept foreign tourists? The transportation is very inconvenient. The bus only leaves every hour. After finally arriving, it was two hours before the check-in time. I wanted to store my luggage and walk around nearby. The store owner refused and asked him why. He said it was not three o'clock yet. I laughed. After staying in the hotel for so many days, there were so many foreign tourists who arrived early to store their luggage. Whoever had the right travel time card didn’t have to check in! We were speechless. The 40-degree high temperature threw all our luggage out and asked us to come back at three o'clock. So we chose not to check in that day. This person was smearing Japan, and we seriously suspected that the owner of this hotel was a nationalist. No one should come, so as not to cause travel trouble for us."

"This was my first time visiting Numazu, and I was so happy that I managed to book a stay at Numazu Grand Hotel. There aren’t many international tourists in the area, so most services are mainly provided in Japanese. Fortunately, the staff member who assisted us during check-in could speak both English and Chinese. What impressed me the most was the incredible patience and hospitality of the front desk staff. The staff on the night shift could only communicate with us in Japanese, and unfortunately, we were having internet issues at the time, so we couldn’t use our phones for translation. With our very limited Japanese probably only 10% We somehow managed to explain that we needed help sending our luggage. Despite the language barrier, every staff member was extremely patient and did their best to communicate with us in English. When we went out later that evening, they even specially prepared an A4 sheet for us with a complete explanation of the luggage delivery process and a summary of our earlier conversation, translated into both English and Malay. We were genuinely touched by the effort they put in. The next morning, when the staff member who spoke English and Chinese returned to work, they proactively called us and helped arrange everything for our luggage delivery. The whole experience felt incredibly thoughtful and sincere, and their hospitality truly made us feel at home. I also have to mention the complimentary breakfast. It was delicious, authentic, and comforting—the kind of simple meal that somehow gives you the warm feeling of being back in your hometown. And of course, I absolutely loved all the Aqours-themed decorations and atmosphere throughout the hotel! 💙 I really fell in love with the cheerful and energetic atmosphere of Numazu. Thank you for making my first visit such a memorable one. I’ll definitely be back again! 🫶🏻"

"One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had! The staff were so kind and thoughtful. The room was beautiful with a stunning view of the bay. Highly recommend getting there breakfast or dinner. The food was careful curated and thought out, each course was delicious and featured seasonal items.  The onsen was also stunning with an indoor and outdoor area and all amenities needed.  Highly recommend this hotel. You will not regret it!"
