We first stayed at the Glendower hotel about 20+ years ago, it was dated then, and fairly well maintained. We thought after 20+ years it would have been updated, but sadly not. Our recent stay at this hotel was from Feb.8-11. Glendower hotel is centrally located and the food was excellent. The rooms are very spacious. The restaurant and bar area was tidy. The garden was immaculate. However, we faced many issues during our stay and management was promptly informed and most of the matters were resolved. The staff need to be able to speak and understand English. I would be happy to discuss our impressions and observations with the management/owners if they are interested in hearing about our experiences. Bottom line is CLEANLINESS is of utmost importance and staff should be trained to check all aspects of the rooms before they are released to guests. More staff is required to manage this lovely colonial-style hotel.

Beautiful Heritage property - Well maintained - Well groomed gardens Location is a bit away from the city - could be a bit of a concern if you do want to roam the city till late- you need to have a vehicle to go to city. Very helpful and courteous Staff - from front office, check-in staff, all the way to restaurant staff - absolutely 5 star ratings for them. The cottages are good, however on the smaller side, I would recommend the rooms in the building. Breakfast is nice however limited in choices. Bar is on a smaller size but cozy for a cold place however could be stocked better - a few drinks mentioned in the beverages menu were missing. But the view and peace and solace at this property is unmistakably first class Already recommended the property to few friends.
