Posthotel Kassl 4-Sterne-Superior

Two weeks post visit and we are still raving about the wonderful experience our family of 10 enjoyed at the “storybook” PostHotel Kassl. Gourmet fresh meals, staff, and accomodations, were all exceptional. The location was perfect for our chosen summer activities. The pool was an added bonus for our family. And having breakfast with the owners up in the mountains one day was an unforgettable experience! So amazing!!!

We took a multi-generational family trip to Posthotel Kassl and were TOTALLY blown away by the hotel. It was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Austria and Switzerland. First, the hotel has jaw-dropping mountain views and is the most authentic and charming hotel I've ever stayed at (seriously- you'll hear the cow bells from the wandering mountain cows at night). Second, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - always going the extra mile to make our stay special. For example, we demolished one night's appetizer and when we told the server how much we enjoyed it they asked "can we bring you another one to enjoy?" The family that owns the hotel has extremely high service levels and you even get to know more about them during the special Alm breakfast they offer each Tuesday morning. Lastly, the food was incredible. I've eaten at some of the most celebrated restaurants all over the world and the food we got over 8 days consistently rated as some of the best meals in my life. 5 to 7 course dinners are provided in the half board package and the quality, presentation, and taste of the food were all 5 stars. I would have paid $$$$ for that quality of meal anywhere else. I loved spending my days adventuring in the alps and then enjoying the luxury dinners served each evening. I'll be dreaming about their dishes until we can return again. I wish I could give 10 stars for this hotel. It is an undiscovered gem!

The service and staff hospitality was second to none. Food was very good and it must be the best outdoor winter pool in the Alps. The wellness centre made for a relaxing end to a days skiing and the apres ski cakes were a nice touch. Beds were extremely comfortable.

We made a last-minute booking as we were driving from Lucerne to Salzburg and wanted to break up the journey. This hotel was such a gem, and the service friendly with great attention to detail, that we extended to stay a second night as well (delaying our onward journey). The food was fantastic with a large selection and good prices, and the outdoor pool with mountain views was a wonderful place to relax. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

More than a hotel ! I've been going there for 17 years and never get tired of it .The best breakfast buffet I've ver seen, the cooking excellent, The bar is stunning ....the Haid family is a bit like mine .Thanks again ,see you next year. Jean Paul

Beautiful hotel though points for improvement are the early check-out time and the attitude of some staff and attention The rude communications about leaving the room I booked for a birthday celebration without communications about an end time from the staff almost destroyed the party (the women stepped in shouting: leave now, or I will call the director, so I urged her to bring the director, who agreed to let us continue and then continue upstairs- communication is everything!). Besides, the dinner was done in a haste (excuse-we are stressed); the salat buffet was almost empty and no choice of dessert (the waiter: we will give you a dessert, no choice-again very rude). For the price and high expectations this left a bad taste, while some other staff were really helpful and nice. It can be done much better!
