The White Hart Hotel Wetherspoon

We stayed whilst visiting friends and was pleasantly surprised, The accommodation was very good. The building is old and floorboards can squeak etc and the manager made a point of advising us on our arrival, Obviously your above the pub so again told it could be noisey, But to be fair it was quite peaceful. We found the staff to be friendly, I had breakfast which was very good and we had food on one evening was fine. Most Weatherspoon's I have been in always seem to be understaffed, but we had no problems with service or staff. It suited our needs, we enjoyed Okehampton and will definitely go back again this year.

This is by far the nicest Wetherspoons we have stayed in to date. The room was well furnished and the bed comfortable. The bathroom looked new and was excellent. Would definitely stay here again. The pub part of the building was nice with lots of different areas and the staff were friendly and helpful. BUT there were hardly any staff. We could not use the app and people were queueing at the bar to place orders and collect drinks. The app did not say place your order at the bar until you had reached the end of the process on the app. There were signs saying no chips available with food the whole weekend, and they would be replaced with onion rings(?) On this day, we had already eaten elsewhere at lunch time, so I ordered a pudding and my husband soup and a roll, we were given 1 fork and 1 spoon in 1 serviette and no bread roll with the soup. We did not complain as we could see there were problems and did not want to add to them. However, it was a disappointing experience.

I had an amazing stay at *The White Hart Inn*! The room I stayed in was incredibly spacious and beautifully maintained—such a comfortable and relaxing space. The room attendants went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect, and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant staff were equally fantastic, making both breakfast and dinner a lovely experience. A special mention to Shelly, who went above and beyond with her warm and attentive service. Overall, a fantastic stay with exceptional service. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

I came to Okehampton for the first time to attend a Business Training Course. I stayed at the White Hart Hotel. The staff were warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them, making our group feel at home. We ate in the restaurant, good honest food at reasonable prices. When the venue for the course was no longer available to us, they stepped in to help us so we could carry on with our course. We were so grateful as we had come from all over the country traveling 6 -10 hours to arrive at Okehampton..

Shocking service in the bar. All the tables covered in dirty plates. Bar could do with a good clean and clearly need a lot more staff. . Maybe less attention to putting up Halloween decorations and more on tidying up and serving customers , however only place it seems to get a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning in Oakhampton

I’m had the worst experience here, got told all the coffee cups was all dirty but nobody was clearing dirty ones from tables and didn’t get offered another drink nor a refund. Only thought that would be the back thing but had to wait for an hour for our food to arrive let alone our food being cold. People sitting on dirty tables not being wiped after people leave plates still on table while all of them are outside on phone and smoking instead of doing there job but being paid to be outside laughing.. then after that a guy next to us got a raw burger delivered to him and he was not happy about it got sent back, and took an hour to come back out, people going up to get there own drinks after ordering them online. Or food coming before the drinks but wondering were they was, VERY NOT HAPPY wondering wether I would get discount for clearing our own tables.. DISAPPOINTED
