Sulia House Porto Rotondo, Curio Collection by Hilton

We stayed at Sulia House and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience — definitely not worth the premium price. We were in Room 26, which had a major issue with the shower leaking water all over the bathroom floor. I reported this multiple times. The only advice I got was to “point the shower toward the wall,” but that didn’t help — the shower cabin is simply built wrong and leaks no matter what. I asked for a room change, but was told they were fully booked. Their only solution? Call housekeeping every time to mop the floor. That’s not acceptable, especially during a vacation. In addition to the bathroom problem, the room was small and not well maintained, and the TV wasn’t even a smart TV, which you’d expect at this level. The pool also felt cramped and undersized — for a hotel with 22 rooms, the space was clearly insufficient and didn’t feel relaxing at all. The poor shower design, lack of proper service, and underwhelming amenities ruined our stay.

This is a peaceful and beautiful location and this wonderful hotel take full advantage of these features. The pool area and gardens are magnificent! Rooms are spacious and we had a large private patio area with excellent views. I could not fault a thing. Personal transportation would be advisable.

Fantastic stay with incredible views. The front desk manager was an absolute gem, so inviting, kind, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. Could not have felt more welcome. Would absolutely return and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting.

My wife and I loved our stay at Sulia House Porto Rotondo. I don't normally think of Hilton hotels as "small and boutique", but this one definitely was. Very small hotel, in a lovely part of Sardinia, and good access (if you have a car) to the Costa Smeralda, and Porto Rotondo, which is a nice little town on the coast. Service was outstanding, the room was more of a suite, with a killer view, and it was clean and regularly cleaned to our high standards. The pool was also a hit, as it was rarely busy, and pool attendant was very friendly and nice. We also enjoyed their (small) dry sauna, followed by a jump in the pool. Breakfast was lovely (not the fanciest buffet, but adequate, and what it lacked in choices was made up for by the service and views from the dining room). Would definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful 5 day stay at Sulia House. It's a lovely laid back small boutique hotel (unusual for a Hilton) and very well located close to Porto Rotondo. While the layout is a little dated the rooms have been nicely refurbed with great views. The pool a nice size and with the views out to Porto Cervo it's serene and relaxing. Staff are lovely, very helpful with great service. Not sure it's ideal for families with young kids but simply great for couples.

With just 22 rooms, Sulia House feels more like a private villa than a hotel, nestled in lush Sardinian hills overlooking the sea. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the ambiance exudes quiet sophistication. There is a peaceful energy to the place. Calm, deliberate and wonderfully curated. Rooms & Amenities Upon entering our room, we found a handwritten welcome letter. A thoughtful gesture that instantly made us feel like valued guests rather than just room numbers. It’s small touches like these that distinguish a property and leave lasting impressions Our room was elegantly appointed with quality furnishings, a supremely comfortable bed, and crisp linens that spoke to the hotel’s attention to detail. Nightly turndown service was still offered, a rare and welcome touch that many five star properties have sadly let go of. The room included thoughtful amenities such as a good coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and a well-stocked minibar. That said, there are a few areas where the experience could be elevated further. For a hotel of this calibre, the absence of a smart TV felt like a missed opportunity, particularly for those who enjoy unwinding with their own streaming content after a day of sun and sea. Additionally, while the room was tastefully laid out, the placement of power sockets could be more convenient, especially by the bedside, where many guests now expect easy charging access. The bathroom featured a slightly compact shower, but this was more than made up for by the excellent rainshower and water pressure, which made for a refreshing and invigorating start to each day. Everything in the room felt curated with care and taste, blending understated luxury with a deep sense of calm. Service & Team The true standout at Sulia House is its people. From the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant, every interaction was warm, professional, and heartfelt. There’s a palpable pride in what they do. The team operates with a sense of ease and authenticity that makes guests feel like part of an extended family, rather than simply customers passing through. Dining Experience Breakfast was a true highlight. The buffet was beautifully presented with fresh high quality selections and impeccable attention to detail.
