📍 908-2 Iijima, Shirakawa, Ono District, Shirakawa Village

"We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. You can rent the yakutas free of charge, and play in both the public and private onsens when you have toured the Shirakawago village. The dinner and breakfasts provided is ok."

Toyota Shirakawa-Go Eco-Institute

Toyota Shirakawa-Go Eco-Institute ★★★★

📍 223 Magari, Shirakawa Village

"Toyota Shirakawa-go Eco-Institute is a nice place for you to explore the forest pard of Shirakawa-go. They offer a free forest walk tour which can let you know about the diversity of the area. The 6 course French dinner is nice and the bread served in breakfast was lovely. The room is relatively small but the bed is comfortable. Will recommend this place for those who are looking for exploring Shirakawa-go."

Shirakawago No Yu Hotel

Shirakawago No Yu Hotel ★★

📍 Ogimachi 337, Shirakawa Village

"The room is very spacious and the meals were also great both in quantity and quality. But I think what’s best was the bath as there was an outdoor one, and the front counter sells glass bottles of fresh Hida milk which are perfect as an after-bath drink. Staff knows some English so knowing some basic Japanese helps"

Shirakawago No Yu Hotel ★★
"The hotel is near bus station. Hotel onsen is nice. Dinner is pretty good, but breakfast is mostly pickled vegetables and rice, which is very average. Biggest downside is no private bathroom. The whole hotel, only the biggest room has the  private bathroom, other smaller rooms have no private bathroom. I woke up at 4 am and had to go to bathroom on the first floor, which felt pretty creepy. Anyway, if you have kids or old people who need to pee often, I won’t recommend it. And no elevator in hotel either. Good luck carry suitcase upstairs . "

"Very satisfied with the accommodation experience. The dinner and breakfast the next day were delicious. I felt the meticulousness and attentiveness of the cooks. They used many local unique ingredients, which were fresh and delicious. Although the building is older, the floors and furniture were polished and the toilets and The bathroom is kept very clean. Although the location is far away, the scenery is very pleasant while driving there. You can see the turquoise lake outside the window. Recommended!"
