Best Ormoc Spa Hotels

Not sure if other hotels have or do not have hot water for shower. GV Hotel does not, please note. Also the shower is spacious but no seperate cubicle. The whole floor gets wet as you shower, may be a common feature in the tropical cities. Nevertheless, the proximity to SM Mall is the best feature, you can get everything in the Hypermarket and most of the popular food outlets under one roof, just a 2 minute walk opposite the same street. This is definitely the place to stay when you’re on your way to Cebu. It’s very close to the port and it’s just a 3 hour trip. More importantly let’s look at the iaLodge - they’re centrally located near SM Mall, a number of good restaurants, bakeries and convenience stores are scattered all around the hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the hotel staff is quick to answer your questions. This may just be our go to route back to Cebu.

I didn't eat🍽️ at the hotel, but there is a #nightmarket that opens at 12PM right in front of the hotel, so I recommend having local food there for lunch or dinner🧡. Also, about 5 minutes away, there is a pizza🍕 shop that is famous locally. I'll post a photo❗️

The location of this hotel is so good. It is near to the market, to fast food restaurants like jollibee, mcdo, chowking etc. It is also near the ports to cebu, Bohol and Camotes. The room is quite clean and spacious.

This was a good choice for a budget stay for a night. The staff were nice and friendly. The wifi was fast, the room was ok but could have been cleaner. The location is good near the port and sm mall. They have a restaurant and balcony which was handy.

Its a good place to stay becos is clean and paecefull place. Its located 500 meters to Ronbinson Mall and there are Mc Donalds and Jolibee very near even is not in downtown. The room is very clean and the workers are very kind with costumers.

Carlosta is by all impressions, a locally owned and run hotel. Whilst initially quality seems ok… it’s the attention to detail that is so completely lacking, and provincial way of doing things that spoils the stay. The room rates are reasonable, but our room had no window, so it was like staying in a large cupboard. The continue playing of the same three Christmas songs over and over on a loop (6am to 10pm) was particularly annoying especially as the sound was too loud in the corridors for the guest rooms. I appreciate its a ‘Ber month but too much! However, the most annoying aspect was how the hotel blatantly tries to take advantage of its guests with extras. Transport to the airport I was quoted an eye watering P7500, in coming I paid P4000 so almost double. The front desk made no further suggestions to assist me. Fortunately I worked it out for myself and paid only P200, in a shared air conditioned mini bus, perfectly acceptable. Same with massage service 1000/hr for the house therapist, or 200/hr hotel surcharge if we sourced our own. Now today’s final twist, the hotel no longer wishes to issue hand towels? What gives? To end on a positive note, the staff are very helpful and polite, but of course can only be as accommodating as the management permits. Has the potential to be a lot better.

I stayed at Don Felipe Hotel many times in 2015. It was always my first choice for an ocean view room. The hotel has the Best View And Best Location of any hotel in Ormoc! Sitting on the balcony of your Ocean View room, eating a room service breakfast, is a real treat I enjoyed! Don Felipe Hotel is conveniently located across the street from the ferry Pier and the bus terminal. You can catch the Ocean Jet ferry to Cebu, or the Super Cat to other island locations. Rooms are large, with AC and mini-fridge. Drop you Laundry at the front desk, as Laundry service is available at very low cost. Go next door to Lorenzo's Cafe and sit on the patio for a pleasant dining experience. Mercury Drug is located right behind the hotel, for all your toiletries, bottled water, and snacks. McDonald's is in walking distance, several blocks away, and Jollibee's is a few blocks farther. You need to get a tricycle to go to Gaisano Shopping Center. Don Felipe is an older hotel that could use some upgrades. In an ocean view room, you will experience some traffic noise. For a quieter stay, try a City View room. But then there's no view! They also have some very cheap rooms in an additional wing on the first floor. I stayed in one of these rooms when the hotel was full, and no ocean view rooms were available. These rooms are small and not recommended, but they suffice if you just need a place to sleep. I always enjoyed my stay at Don Felipe, and it is still my number one choice to stay in Ormoc, because of the view and the convenient location.
