Hotel Cocoon

Very clean & cosy hotel at first sight. Despite the fact of not having a sea view, the hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the tourist area. It only takes 2 minutes to be on the beach and only 5 min towards the main shopping streets and cosy restaurants are all within very near walking distance. However, safety wise, the rooms are not ok when visiting with kids. The top floor rooms hardly have any protection when opening the very large windows, there is only 1 iron bar at approximately 1 meter of height. Even for adults an accident could happen easily… Maybe the window should be locked all the time but it was definitely not the case during our visit. Additionally, the bathroom was very nice but the brand new floor of the walk in shower was as slippery as an ice skating track, no “anti slip” layer nor carpet could be found. Breakfast is rather expensive, the restaurant is closed on weekend evenings and the bar is just ordering drinks at the reception… Conclusion: nice hotel although lots of improvements still need to be made. At this point, 4 star categorisation is overrated…

Nice accomodation, close to the city center. At walking distance of the coast.

Great location Lovely hotel in a good location. Excellent breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. The air conditioning in my room wasn’t working and no one was available to fix it. Fortunately I could open the window without too much disturbance but it would have been nice if they could move my room or fix the problem.

Very good hotel, comfortable and large bed (at least in our room). The staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is fantastic, very good, tasty and fresh food.
