I stayed in Oceanfront Royal Suite Room 805. The circular floor on the top floor, the view of the coast and quay from the living room were wonderfully impressed like a painting. The building that rises on the coast seemed old, but the room was cleanly maintained and comfortable to stay. The view from the living room and bathroom was wonderful and seemed worth staying just to enjoy this view. The furnishings were antique and it was good to match the atmosphere of the resort. The big bathroom is not a hot spring, but it was always good to enter at any time with hot water. I opened the bathroom window and enjoyed the magnificent view of the Sea of Japan while listening to the sound of the waves of the Sea of Japan. It was good that there were enough towels. For dinner, I had a special suite course ”Presil” at the restaurant. There were many items and volumes, so I was able to enjoy it deliciously. The wine was also cheap and good. I was able to get it with a chopsticks, and the female staff were friendly and I had a fun dinner. I asked for white asparagus dishes for additional dishes, but it was very delicious and satisfying. Breakfast was also served at the restaurant with ”creative breakfast”. While enjoying the scenery, I enjoyed a relaxing breakfast at my seat. It was good to be able to get sparkling for free from the morning. As an aside, the unique hairstyle of the male staff was good. I was very satisfied this time. I would like to stay if I had another chance.

Good hotel stay with plenty of extra amenities and storage to make your stay comfy.
Smoking area for smoking guests stinks the whole lobby as you walk through reception to the lift, which is a shame. It is a non smoking hotel.
Close to the sightseeing spots and about 10 mins walk to JR Station and supermarket.

The staff at the reception speaks fluent English, which is good. Sth dramatic happened after I checked in. Somehow my suitcase cannot be unlocked, though I knew the key number. So I had to call reception for help, luckily they do have the tool to open the suitcase, but I was told to wait because someone else were using it and I was supposed to be called after the reception got the tool. Waited whole night long, with no phone call, and had to check out the next morning with my broken suitcase. So if you find your suitcase cannot be opened, go find reception immediately or u might not get the chance to use the tool, haha

Amenity is a simple hotel that saves the waste to take next to the front desk, so I think it is not enough to ask for a 5-star or 4-star hotel. It's just a new and clean hotel that is much more calm than a normal business hotel. Some pack prices with breakfast are very reasonable depending on the site. The location is very quiet because it is located in line with the former Bank of Japan building, not along the canal. It is close to the mall shopping street, so it is close to the sushi shop, the cake house in Hanazono town and the shinkuraya. There is also Lawson next door. The parking lot can be deposited from 13:00 before check-in, so it is ideal for sightseeing such as the canal, the must-see Otaru Art Village, and the Otaru City Literature Museum. As soon as you leave the canal, you will see a local-priced shop that is not a tourist price, and I think the location is wonderful. In addition, the view from the hotel room overlooking the harbor was wonderful. We were in a smaller condition, extra bed, in a not large room, but we were very comfortable. I think it's also because the door is thick or I can't hear the sound of other rooms at all. However, the bath in the room is small. Instead, the large communal bath on the top floor is not a hot spring, but the view is good and clean. It is also a good impression that the lockers that can be used were restricted so that they would not be crowded, probably because of corona measures. Breakfast buffet does not include fish * or crabs that tourists to Hokkaido are looking for. Still, it is delicious with local vegetables and Alice Farm jams. The menu is more Western than Japanese, but there are many warm foods and it warms up even in snowy Otaru. Thickly sliced bacon and steamed vegetables were very delicious. Also, the staff was young and I liked it very much even though it was crispy. The front desk staff guided me in the snow when I entered the parking lot. It was also active at the breakfast venue, so it seems that it will help where human hands are needed. It is also advanced as a business hotel that can calm down with a lot of new indirect lighting. We recommend that the husband of the corner-style liquor store, which is located at the edge of the arcade after dinner, is the most friendly and friendly if you drink a glass of sake. You can interact with people I will. We used travel support. Payment is 1 Each person 3,300 yen with a coupon of 3,000 yen, so it is actually 300 yen. It was a sorry cost. I still want to use it.

I almost always take care of Mr. Ocent when I go to Otaru. I usually book a twin room, but this time I used travel support, so I rushed to make it a deluxe twin. It was nice and awesome, but it's a little disappointing that a new hotel was built nearby and the view on the sea side was blocked. The staff at the front desk and lounge were also very polite. The cleaning staff passing each other through the corridor 々 and greetings are very pleasant (the same every time I stay) It is convenient to go anywhere for meals and sightseeing. You can go through the arcade to Otaru Station, so it's very helpful when the weather is bad. The food in the hotel is very delicious and it's a really recommended hotel.

Served by a Sri Lankan hotel staff named Dilruk. Our check in was managed professionally by him. Had a pleasant check in procedure. However, the room wasn't cleaned properly when we checked in, hair was found left beside the bathtub. Concern was raised to a trainee hotel staff on the checkout date, he just said sorry that's it. I think there will be a better way in extending apologies on this matter.

The Japanese traditional Ryokan with large garden.Renewed in 2016.
GGuest User2024.05.31
We absolutely loved this ryokan experience! Stayed for 2d1n as a couple and absolutely loved the place! We booked the room with the private onsen and it was a lovely small space on the 2nd floor we could enjoy privately. The onsen is not too big, maybe 1.5 x 1.5 meters, but it was spacious for the two of us. We also found out that you can book a 45 minute slot for a separate private onsen for about ¥2200, which we may have done instead, had we known about it before booking. The japanese-style room was comfortable and had the usual amenities provided, alongside other nice additions like lotions and creams. The staff helped us to set up our futon (japanese-style bed) after dinner, and it was overall a very comfortable experience. The staff are super friendly and service was incredible.
We got the dinner and breakfast package and the food was excellent. We had to choose both the dinner slot in advance, and it is first-come-first-serve. Dinner was served to us in the room over 1.5h and was a really amazing 12-course meal with instructions on the eating order. Breakfast was more standard, but still nice, we took it in the dining hall.
The lounge is open till 10pm and we could take drinks and refreshment freely, including some small snacks and soft drinks. But they stop serving beer at 9pm. The onsens also have mini-fridges with free popsicles. There is also an outside area you can access from 3pm - 9pm that serves hot coffee and wine, with free marshmallows you can roast on the outside firepit. It was really nice.
The garden is by far the nicest part of the hotel, it is really big and well decorated, with many nice places for photos and to enjoy a hot drink from the lounge. The space is quite large and might take about 20 minutes to fully explore.
The only downside I can think of is that the location is quite hard to access. We chose to get to and from the ryokan by taxi, but there is also a shuttle bus service, from what I understand. When we arrived, the reception told us that there would be a shuttle bus leaving at 10:45 to Otaruchikko station. We still ended up requesting a taxi from the front desk though, which they were happy to help us book (I couldn't get any taxis by cab in the location).
Overall a really amazing stay that we would absolutely recommend. The price tag might seem high for a ”3 star” hotel, but the ranking is deceptive, we absolutely had a 5 star experience. Cheers!

I have stayed in Otaru town several times, but this time I stopped by Otaru Tenguyama Ropeway to get a panoramic view of Otaru City from a high place, and then moved sideways and arrived at the hotel. I parked my car in the parking space near the entrance. When you enter the entrance, there is an automatic thermometer, spray the disinfectant in your hand, and take a break in front of the front desk to wait in line. I entered the twin room in room 2809 on the 8th floor. The indoor facilities were as complete as the general hotel. From the window, I could see the road next to the hotel and the nearby mountains. A friend who lives in Sapporo booked dinner at the restaurant on the first floor in front of the hotel front desk, so I had a dinner with my friends. It wasn't crowded, so I was able to enjoy the course meal slowly while talking. There was an indoor pool and fitness in the building, but it was not available because it was only one night. Many school excursion students stayed there, so there were quite a few young people at the souvenir shop. Breakfast was buffet style at the restaurant on the 2 floor. I was full because I had a lot of food. I went to the public bath first thing in the morning, but there were few people and I put it in comfortably. After checking out and leaving the hotel, I climbed up and saw the loop road, the Asatogawa Dam and the autumn leaves, and then went home. It was a wasteful resort type hotel for one night.

Outstanding
I stayed here with my wife to celebrate my 60th birthday. It's about a 10-minute walk from Otaru Station, faces the canal, and has a very nice atmosphere. The first time we stayed here was in January 2014, when there was snow like this time, but this is my third time staying here, including June 2019. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and heavy snowfall, we basically stayed indoors for two nights and three days. However, this inn was as warm (of course it was warm) and provided a space that was relaxing for both body and mind, just as I expected. In particular, I will focus on the samue (work clothes). Since many of the guests use them, it didn't feel strange and I didn't have to change clothes every time I moved around the building, so it was very comfortable for staying indoors. As a result, I felt like I spent more time relaxing in the lounge area than in my room, and the entire inn felt like my own room. Also, the staff members I met here and there greeted me with hospitality, and I felt at ease because I felt that this was preventing non-guests from entering. Speaking of safety, infection prevention measures are required at this time, and in addition to alcohol disinfection, ultraviolet sterilizers and masks are provided in the bathroom, and other detailed measures have been taken. As for the food, the breakfast was excellent in both taste and menu and can be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders. Due to the influence of COVID, there was no large platter, but the menu was abundant and I was able to enjoy it slowly while looking at the Otaru Canal. On the other hand, dinner was prepared at the inn for both nights. It was very delicious, but it was a little disappointing that there was not much meat (or rather, there was almost none). Maybe they were thinking about my age of 60... The room. This time I chose a room with a balcony. Because of the snow, I couldn't do anything there, but I used it to cool down a little after the bath and enjoy the view. There was a hammock for summer, so summer may be the real thing. Anyway, it was a very good trip this time. I would like to visit Furukawa again.
Jjaimem432we made a short trip to Otaru to visit some of its good izakayas, we took a room with 4 beds, it was a nice surprise the distribution of the spaces in the room. Our room had two almost separate areas, in the main area two beds and a couch, the second area was a small terrace with the other two beds, the access to the terrace was a staircase in the room. the terrace was a very pleasant space, even though it is not possible to stand in the terrace area because the ceiling is very low, the terrace gives an air of independence being in the same room, each bed has its space to recharge the cell phone and has an independent lamp. our room had an elegant glass balcony with a beautiful view. the shower area is very elegant with a fairly modern and clean design. the television system was fun too, our room had a projector with a very good video quality I really liked my stay at the hotel and I hope to stay there again soon
IiwtoXiaoyi Homestay
Advantages:
1 Good location. The location of the homestay is at the top of the commercial street, very close to the music box hall. It takes only a minute to walk. You can hear the full hour of the steam clock in the room. It is not far from Nanxiao Station to the homestay.
2 large rooms and new facilities. The bathroom door is labeled with a 24-year-old February, haha
Disadvantages
1 A little decoration smell
2 In order to disperse the smell, the doors and windows must be opened, but there are no screens and screens (the public living room is equipped), and there will be small bugs coming in.
3 206 room west sun is very hot, although there is air conditioning, but the room smells bad and the window is not closed.
TTeng CThe whole room is said to be a hundred years of renovation, so some places feel very old traces, fortunately the bathroom beds are also completely renovated, living is still quite comfortable. The first floor has a living room and a fully equipped kitchen filled with retro furnishings and appliances, but the toilet door on the outside is a glass-lined door so the light can be seen clearly when it is opened. There are service staff who can speak Chinese, English and Japanese with the parking lot, which is closer to Nanxiao Temple Station than Otaru, and there are many restaurants nearby.
ZZLStayed at Sho Inn for 1 night in Otaru. It’s a little out of the way from the Otaru station if you do not drive, but they offer shuttle service to the Otaru Canal and Otaru station when you check out! The host Hideshi was incredibly kind, even going the extra mile to bring my neck pillow, which I had accidentally left in the accommodation after check out, to the Otaru station at my preferred time that evening. It was a gesture testament of the great hospitality of the Japanese. Would definitely recommend this place especially if you’re a solo traveller / prefer your own private space instead of going to those hostels with double deckered beds and curtains!
GGuest UserThe room was very beautiful. I couldn't choose because it was a tour, but everything was new and beautiful in the new building. But I was also worried about the room of the restaurant with the renovation of the historic building. There was no scenery outside the window, and I was told that the tour guests could not change it. . omo Naha changed even for tour guests. It's a beautiful room, but it wasn't easy to use. The refrigerator is far away. I wanted it to be near the table. Also, the toilet, wash basin, and shower room are wide 々, but if it was that wide, I could have made a bathtub. Is the omo series for young people so you don't need a bathtub? You can connect to the historic building next door and go to the restaurant. It's the restaurant, but there is a reservation system for dinner and breakfast is eaten there. Breakfast was gorgeous. It was quite devised and rich in variety and delicious. But Tomamu's Nininupri was better. All the cold side dishes were not good enough. And it feels too luxurious. .. I'm a little tired. I don't know how much it was because it was incorporated into the tour, but is it such an expensive breakfast? Compared to Tomamu, there are few Chinese in the omo series, so I'm a little relieved. There is a convenience store in front of you, and it is convenient for sightseeing in the center of Otaru. You don't have to have breakfast, so I would like to go again if I can stay cheaply.
GGuest UserI have stayed once before at Kanpo no Yado. I stayed for the first time after the renewal with Asarigawa Onsen Hotel. The tatami mats and walls were nice in the room. The washing area of the large public bath is divided into two places, but there are not many seats, about 10. The hot water was warm and the temperature was good. The jacuzzi was narrow with about 3 people taking a bath, and the temperature was a little low. An open-air bath would be nice. Both dinner and breakfast were good with delicious food that is friendly to the elderly.
YYukio ABook a dormitory on my Navi Travel. 1night 2100 yen. Pay at T point. Location is the intersection of Sun Mall shopping street and Bank of Japan Street. Lawson is in the building. 3 There is a reception on the floor and you can get up by elevator. It has just opened in 2018 years 10 months and the facilities are new. 3 The shared space on the floor is large. The explanation of the inn at the reception was polite. Especially, I forgot the password number of the key of the door of the room, and I was strongly told that I would not put it in the room because there was no staff after 0 in the morning (when I lost the paper written). Towels and toothbrushes are paid. Kitchen and refrigerator can be used.
GGuest UserAdvantages: The natural environment is good, the surrounding green waters and green mountains, the air is fresh, and the stars can be seen at night.
Disadvantages: far from the city, there is a large hotel around the hotel that can provide catering services. There is no hair dryer in the room, no pot for boiling water (the hair dryer is shared at the front desk, and there is a water dispenser for boiling water in the corridor). There is no table in the room, it is not convenient to put things. The room type provided is different from the description of Trip.com (no sofa).
CclumsyEAWe were given another place called second house green with private bath and kitchen due to overbooking. However, the first floor was a bit and the shower wasn’t that good. Water was not hot enough even adjusted to 60 degrees and was rather weak.
It’s hard to find the house green as well and was only informed the access code after a while. But check out time was good. Beware of the snow as our car was buried in snow the next day.
