We stayed in a studio at the far end of the complex, which was fine for a base, but the facilities are a little basic. The kitchen was tiny with a mixed array of equipment - plenty of plates and dishes, cups and glasses, but very little in the way of preparation and cooking equipment. I understand when on holiday people usually do not want to do much cooking, but even preparing a salad or making a sandwich was a struggle with the provided tiny chopping board. The cooker was a small oven with two electric rings on top which took ages to warm up, so the pork chops we tried to cook took ages. There was a hairdryer in the apartment, but it was a very small one attached to the wall with a coiled wire that would not stretch very far - looked like someone had tried to stretch it and it was almost falling off the wall. I abandoned trying to use it after a few days. The beds were made with bottom sheets that were too small and just would not tuck under the mattress so always wrinkled up in the night. All that happened was the housekeepers would come in and just pull up the top sheet and cover and the bottom sheet stayed wrinkled. Our sheets were not changed in two weeks. Showers and general washing up was a challenge as we struggled to get much hot water. I thought this was strange as we were on the top floor so should have been close to the hot water tank. When we mentioned this to reception it was revealed that the tank serving our block was on the roof of the block next to us, so water would have quite a journey before reaching our apartment! For washing pots and a night time wash before bed we just boiled a kettle. The morning shower eventually ran some lukewarm water, but we must have depleted the reservoirs even more than they are already waiting for it to get warm. Good points are that the apartments are close to many shops and restaurants, close to the bus station, a decent walk into the old town or to the Kings Avenue mall, and fairly quiet given the proximity of the main road, Tomb of the Kings.
