GGuest UserWe stayed in Room 323, just next to gym and pool room. Was worried with noise as We stayed from Wednesday night till Sunday morning check out. My worries were unfounded. Had a pleasant 4 night stay. Living room was spacious and equipped with a clean kitchen and dining table. Washing machine and dryer are separate and hidden behind door. Useful! Bedroom has a king bed, spacious and comfortable. Aircon control in bedroom is separate. Best location of hotel as surrounded with lots of eateries. We highly recommend Malaysian restaurant selling delicious chicken rice and sambal kangkong! Another shop is Into Laksa. Delicious and reasonably priced. Woolsworth supermarket is just a short walk away!! Meriton Mascot is considered an airport hotel as it’s near airport and just 2 stops to city, circular quay stop. I used the super bus shuttle via klook. Convenient hotel drop off and pick up. Only passengers. No need worry uber driver complained too many luggage. Meriton is kind to load long umbrellas on raining days. Just remember to return after each day use and borrow again the following day. Otherwise you may be charged AUD50 for not returning. They do ask your room number.

MMarie74Walking distance to domestic terminal. Very helpful staff. They kindly kept my luggage for a couple of days.
Not a big fan of the open bathroom concept however… can hear the ventilation and no way to stop it.
No swimming pool either.

AAnonymous UserI chose to stay here because I had an early morning flight the next day. I arrived at the hotel close to midnight, and the staff said I could pay $50 for early check-in. I felt $50 was a bit steep for just two extra hours, so I declined. There's a large supermarket and a food court about a 15-minute walk from the hotel, and the Thai food there was pretty good.
The room was reasonably clean, but the facilities were old. The biggest issue was the lack of complimentary bottled water. A bottle of water that sells for $2 at the supermarket costs $5 in the room, which is really unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Also, you can walk to the hotel from T2 and T3 terminals in about 20 minutes, but it's further from T1 (international terminal), requiring a shuttle bus. The $12 per person fee is a bit expensive; if it were free, I think more people would choose to stay at this hotel.

KKat OWe would like to express our gratitude to the reception staff (an extremely helpful young lady) whom assisted with us with our check-in process. We arrived early at 6am in Sydney on 16-Apr-2026, and as there were available rooms, we could check in earlier (room #203). We were so happy to be able to have a cosy room to rest after a long haul flight ❤️, and proceeded with our onsite meeting at 1pm later. Thank you for your great understanding, everything was great for our 2 nights stay - warm breakfast, cosy room, helpful staff and hope to visit Holiday Inns soon.

TTonglongOur stay here exceeded expectations. As a long-standing luxury hotel, it really has a wonderful ambiance. The hotel is in a prime downtown location, right next to Flinders Street Station, which makes it incredibly convenient for both sightseeing and business trips. The room layout was well-designed, with excellent natural light, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The bathroom amenities were exquisite, showing great attention to detail.
The staff were all gentle and professional; checking in and all other services were effortless. The breakfast quality was high, with a rich variety of options, and the freshly prepared dishes tasted great. My only minor regret is that the building is a bit older, so the soundproofing isn't the best, and some rooms have average views. Considering the location, service, and facilities, it offers excellent value for money among hotels of its caliber in Melbourne. It's perfect for travelers seeking a tranquil and high-end experience.

GGuest UserThe room size was decent, but since it's near the airport, the soundproofing of the windows could definitely be improved. It's a reasonable distance to the city center, and there's plenty of public transport nearby. However, the hotel's airport shuttle bus only starts at 4:55 AM, so if you have an early flight, you'll need to take an Uber or taxi.
