ChijiaoxingzoudexianrenI can honestly say this was the most satisfying hotel I stayed at in Australia, and it introduced me to the Meriton chain. The room was very spacious, and it had every appliance you could need, making it perfect for an extended stay. There are tons of Chinese restaurants nearby, and they're all pretty good. It's a shame I only stayed one day. I'm definitely considering Meriton for my next stop in Melbourne. I'm curious if the hotel offers any special rates for long-term stays. I hope the hotel can get back to me, as I'm interested in staying for a longer period.

Anonymous UserThis stay was excellent, very satisfying! The room size was just right, enough space to open two large suitcases, and the bathroom was quite spacious and clean. Check-in and check-out were smooth and convenient. Transportation was decent; it's a ten-minute walk to Mascot, or a bus ride of under 10 minutes to Sydney Airport T2 and T3. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious! Great value for money.

Guest UserWe had a great stay at The Branksome Hotel & Residences. The location was excellent and very convenient. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The facilities were outstanding and made our stay very comfortable. Cleanliness was good overall, though there is a little room for improvement. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this hotel to families.

Hotel location and surroundings: It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the airport, mostly on sidewalks, though you do have to cross a main road in the middle. The section of road approaching the hotel can be quite dark at night.
While there's a McDonald's and convenience store nearby, getting to them requires a long detour because of a major road.
Front Desk/Check-in: There's an accessible ramp, which is convenient for luggage. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth.
Amenities: There's a snack bar near the front desk with reasonable prices. There's also a restaurant on the same floor where you can grab a bite to eat.
Room: The room isn't large, but it was spotless. There's a wall-mounted desk and chair, which is handy for working. The wet and dry areas of the bathroom are well-separated, and the shower area is notably raised.
The room comes with a large glass carafe and two cups. You can refill water at the water station in the hallway, and the water is clean with no strange taste – a big plus.
The only minor downside is that the air conditioning is slow to cool. Even set to 20 degrees Celsius with max fan speed, it still takes at least 10-15 minutes to start feeling cooler.
Shuttle Service: You can book it when you check in at the front desk, and they'll give you a green ticket. The earliest shuttle is at 5:00 AM, and then it runs every half hour. The ride takes about 10-20 minutes.
Shuttle Service Note: The free shuttle service has been discontinued; it now costs $12 per person.

skleexian2025I stayed here for one night on my last day in Sydney before heading to the airport, and I absolutely loved it! First off, the bedding and furniture were clean and comfortable, and even though they were a bit old, they felt well-maintained. The room was also relatively spacious and had a Google Chromecast-enabled TV. There are tons of food options less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel, especially a wide variety of Asian food, which was great. There's also a large Woolworths nearby where I bought souvenirs and gifts. What I found most interesting was that initially, I was puzzled by the absence of bottled water in the room. But then I realized there were glass bottles, and you could fill them up with still, cold, or sparkling water from the lobby as much as you wanted. It was a little bit of a hassle, but it was also fun to be able to choose sparkling or cold water to my liking, plus it's environmentally friendly. And two things that were really excellent were the breakfast and the airport shuttle. The breakfast was very delicious and offered a good variety, including an egg station. And the airport shuttle! I booked a room that included the shuttle for two people, so I only had to pay an extra fee for one additional person, and it worked out perfectly. I had an early flight the next morning, and it was a very convenient and satisfying stay. I'd love to stay here again.

Guest UserOverall, the hotel was not bad and provided a decent stay. The room was clean and the basic facilities were satisfactory. While nothing particularly stood out, everything was generally in line with what I expected. There are some areas that could be improved, but overall it was an average hotel experience and reasonable value for money.

As a budget hotel, the Ibis Budget Sydney Airport's facilities and services meet the basic needs for a layover stay. The prices are particularly attractive during off-peak seasons and specific times, making it a good option for budget-conscious travelers. On the flip side, it's important to manage your expectations and not anticipate too much from the facilities and services. For example, during my stay, the air conditioning provided almost no heat, making the room quite cold at night.
You can walk to the hotel from the domestic terminal in just over ten minutes, which is convenient for travelers with only carry-on luggage. There's also a shuttle bus service between the airport hotels, costing AUD 12 for a one-way trip.
