Basel-Stadt Hotels with Parking

Excellent stay at Mövenpick Basel! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, explaining the city and providing a complimentary tram and bus day pass. The breakfast was also very good. Highly recommended!

The hotel is located near the train station and in the city center. The room is beautifully decorated with a very clean bathroom. The beds and duvets are wonderful. The breakfast was good, though for a 4-star hotel, I expected it to be a bit more luxurious. However, everything was there for a good start to the day. You can park your car in the hotel's parking garage, but reservations are required. I definitely recommend staying here.

Regarding the room, the electric blackout curtain was broken upon check-in. I reported it, and they fixed it fairly quickly while I was out for breakfast. There was a bug when booking on Trip.com; the price was high, and there was no breakfast. I tried to coordinate with the hotel, but as an international provider, Trip.com seemed a bit weak. However, they unilaterally offered compensation, so they did their best. The breakfast was decent. The location is excellent, with a tram station right downstairs, which is very convenient. There's also a supermarket about 50 meters to the right.

We stayed for one night over the weekend in Basel. The location, right by the pedestrian zone, was perfect, but… It was a very hot weekend. The room temperature was unbearable, and there was no AC to regulate it. The fridge in the room was empty, no drinks for a minibar. Not even a bottle of water in the room, nothing. Just hot🥵🥵🥵… For an overnight stay costing over €220, plus €30 for the underground parking, and supposedly a 3 or 4-star category, this is completely unacceptable. This was by far the worst hotel stay of my life, and I’ve been to many hotels, both for work and leisure. Absolutely unacceptable, a total rip-off!!!

Good location, very clean, good breakfast, very friendly and professional staff

The emotional attitude of the lady at the front desk was baffling. When I wanted to order a taxi during check-out in the morning, there was no one at the front desk, nor was there a bell. So I called out ”hello” a few times. The young lady came out from the adjacent room. ”Why are you yelling 'hello'... I am busy... Do you think I should be here (at the front desk) all the time with a smile?” she ranted, complete with an expressive display. What was that all about? I had planned to store my luggage at the hotel, but decided against it. I quickly grabbed my bags and left.

Basel is very small, just a 15-minute walk from the city center. This hotel is located on the edge of the city center, making it especially convenient for walking and public transportation. There is a beautiful lady at the front desk, gentle and polite. The room size is probably okay in Europe. Although the facilities are not new, they are very clean. There are capsule coffee in the room and the toiletries are provided by L'Occitane. The hotel is across the road from the Rhine, and there is a street behind the hotel similar to the bustling weekend market.

Very tasteful ancient architecture

I had a wonderful stay in this hostel. Love the dormitory room layout where it separates the lockers & pantry with the beds. Beautiful green view from the room.

Good location high floor and nice view from the room room is spacious enough. I like the free access to Business lounge (for certain room types) which provide some food for dinner.
