DDD@ShanghaiMy kids had been looking forward to our trip to Sayram Lake for a long time, and it finally happened this summer! The hotel is like a home away from home during a trip, and I'm so glad we chose the Intercity Hotel Sayram Lake. Staying two nights made the whole trip more relaxed and enjoyable. We chased the sunrise, captured photos of the stunning blue lake, and enjoyed precious family time by the shores of Sayram Lake. Location: The Intercity Hotel has an excellent location, very close to all the park entrances. Buying the 48-hour self-driving pass was definitely worth it. If you plan to catch the sunrise, this hotel is an unbeatable choice. By around 5 AM, staff were already checking tickets at the Old East Gate tourist spot. Facilities: Very new! The executive twin room isn't huge, but the layout is well-designed, and the bathroom has a separate shower and toilet (wet and dry separation). All the facilities are great, especially the showerhead – it's rare to find one so comfortable while traveling. Food: Breakfast, afternoon tea, and supper. We didn't have time for afternoon tea. But we did experience both breakfast and supper, and they were truly excellent. The coffee was decent, and I highly recommend drinking plenty of milk (it's super rich and creamy!). The handmade yogurt with banana chips was incredibly delicious! If I get a chance to come back in winter to see the ice formations, I'll definitely choose to stay here again.

GGuest UserThis hotel is located in a newly developed area next to Sai Lake, so there's still a lot of construction happening around. It's not too far to drive to the scenic area entrance. The hotel environment is decent, and given its location by Sai Lake, prices are generally on the higher side, which is to be expected. They offer afternoon tea and coffee, along with dining options. You can even get the afternoon tea to go, and the food itself is pretty good, saving you the hassle of finding places to eat outside. The hotel is quite large and offers laundry service, which is very convenient. The rooms are new and in good condition.

Xxiao yun.Five-star review! The lady at the front desk is absolutely gorgeous and incredibly helpful; you can contact her anytime with any issues. The hotel owner, a handsome gentleman, is also very kind. We couldn't get a taxi, so he personally drove us to the scenic area for free. The hotel's location is great, surrounded by plenty of food options. Sayram Lake is breathtakingly beautiful; I'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserI read all the reviews before booking, and it turns out I made a great choice. I stayed in both the large and small yurts. They were very clean, had no strange odors, and the heating stove kept them nice and warm. From the mountain, you get a panoramic view of Sayram Lake. In the mornings and evenings, when most people are out, you can enjoy a quiet and leisurely stroll. There's a shepherd dog who loves to be petted and a lively kitten, plus herders grazing their livestock nearby, making for a truly immersive experience. If you don't want to use the dry toilet, you can go to the public restrooms in the scenic area downhill, which are very clean. Hot water is available for washing, and it's especially convenient if you're driving as you can easily go back and forth. The owner's cooking is indeed delicious; the humped salmon was particularly tasty. The prices are a bit higher, but I found them acceptable, considering it's a scenic area. Overall, it's perfect for anyone who values experience, though perhaps not for germaphobes, as they are yurts after all.

AAiyo～weiyaWhen I booked the yurt, my simple desire was to bring my 4-and-a-half-year-old to experience Kazakh culture and a different way of life. But... Surprise 1: Located at the highest point of Sai Lake, I could wake up to watch the sunrise and even see the entire lake. For adults, the view is incredible. Surprise 2: The owners are a family of three. Their son is a handsome Kazakh man who speaks Mandarin the best in the family. He handles all customer communications, making communication seamless. The family is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they'll do their best to satisfy any request, as long as they can. Surprise 3: They have a herd of cattle, and another family on the hill behind them has a herd of sheep. They also have two sheepdogs and several horses. It's a truly delightful experience for children. They can play with the dogs, talk to the lambs, ride horses, and ride horses... And they even learned to distinguish between sheep and cow dung, as it's so common and natural. Surprise 4: For dinner, we ordered lamb skewers, braised lamb chops, and pilaf. Two adults and one child couldn't finish them all; the portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. The clear mutton soup had no mutton smell at all (it's best to order it in advance, as it takes about two hours to simmer). Of course, if you're choosing a yurt, you should be prepared. Only consider choosing one if you can accept the following: 1) There's no private toilet, only a dry toilet, and no showers. 2) There's a stove inside, and you have to add the charcoal yourself at night, otherwise it won't last until the next morning. 3) The standard of cleanliness should be comparable to other yurts, not five-star hotels. Overall, if I were to stay in this area again, I would still choose this yurt.

GGuest UserThe yurt is at the north gate of Sailimu Lake. The location can directly see the lake. The boss will drive to the north gate to pick it up. The yurt is very large, even if it rains, it is much safer than camping. Heating is a charcoal stove. When you just burn it, you can wear short sleeves. It is a bit cold after the middle of the night. You can let the boss prepare some charcoal and wake up at night. The boss and the proprietress are very good. They can eat at home and experience authentic styles. After eating the mutton skewers, they didn’t have time to take pictures. The fried mutton should be braised. The mutton is very delicious. The sheep skin that was just killed in the morning is still on the ground. It is highly recommended to stay in the experience, you can watch the night view and sunset, and it is also convenient to get up early to watch the sunrise and drive around the lake. There are voles, sheep, cattle, horses and other small animals on the grass.

Yy3nch1ngWe booked the guest rooms, which are actually a “盲盒” concept where you get whichever room is available upon check-in. Luckily, we were upgraded to wooden cabins with two rooms each. Since I booked 3 rooms, they arranged 2 wooden cabins for us. Each cabin came with two independent bedrooms with attached bathrooms, plus a shared living room. We absolutely loved it because we could gather and spend time together in the living room. We even had steamboat there one evening, which made the stay feel extra cozy, lovely, and convenient. There was also a huge open area in front of the cabins, but unfortunately the wind during our stay was too strong for us to sit outside. In the evening, sheep were grazing right outside our unit. On good weather days, you can even see Sayram Lake and the snow mountains directly from the cabin, which was really beautiful. The cabins are spread across a large area, so you do need to walk to your unit, but the pathways are properly paved and easy to walk on. Our cabin was about 200m from the car park. Special shoutout to the staff, Hemu and Dan Ni Er, who were extremely helpful. They used their small transport buggy to help move our luggage during check-in and check-out. Since we were travelling with elderly family members who had difficulty walking, they also kindly gave them rides to and from the cabin, which we truly appreciated. Highly recommended for those looking for a different and more memorable experience compared to a normal hotel stay.

The owner's hand-grabbed lamb, milk tea, and roasted meat are all phenomenal – so fresh and delicious. Enjoying a warm, home-style meal after watching the sunrise just fills you with so much joy! 🥩 The yurt's location is fantastic; step right out to breathtaking lake and snow-capped mountain views. After dinner, a stroll along the lake, with the breeze blowing, is pure bliss! The accommodation is also very clean and comfortable, and the service is incredibly thoughtful. Highly recommend!
