The location of the B&B is very good, next to an ancient and quiet mosque; it takes only five minutes by car to reach the vast Gaoyou Lake Observation Deck. Environment: clean and beautiful. The guest rooms are surrounded by a large and tidy courtyard, which is full of green plants and flowers even in winter. The courtyard is neatly arranged with various leisure facilities such as pavilions, swings and elegant seats. With abundant public areas, one can truly feel that one is living in a slow time. Service: As soon as you enter the room, you will feel the warmth. The proprietress will carefully turn on the air conditioner before each guest arrives. When checking in, the proprietress enthusiastically introduced the various areas of the B&B and nearby attractions. Because the food we brought needed to be put in the refrigerator, the landlady came to remind us not to forget to take it before we checked out. Dining: Surprise, the hotel's coffee and book bar is cozy and literary, the coffee and snacks are affordable and of great quality👍. The location is good next to the Donghu Wetland Park (walking distance) although it's hard getting around if you don't have a car. The place is big, and you get a balcony with your room. It's also quiet. Unfortunately, the day I was leaving, my Didi/taxi driver I got ended up wasting my time for 30min (he kept driving further away from me--I don't know why) and then canceled on me and made me miss my train (I'm sure the hotel staff remember me exploding on the phone with him in the lobby). The hotel was good enough to arrange a ride for me (although I still didn't make the train on time). Luckily, I was able to get another train as I had to be at work at 7am the next morning. Anyway--it's a fine hotel for the money, but I wish transportation from there was a bit more reliable/frequent.

The room was spacious, and amenities like the projector and AC were quite new. The inclusion of a clothes drying rack was a thoughtful touch. The shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. Since it was a special offer room without a window, I felt a bit disoriented in the morning and lost track of time. The front desk lady provided exceptional service; she was incredibly patient and attentive, even when I asked to change rooms multiple times. I'd definitely recommend the owner give her a commendation, haha. Overall, everything was good, but there were two issues I was quite unhappy with. Firstly, the elevator doesn't go directly to all floors, and when there was a wedding banquet upstairs, the elevator skipped our floor entirely. Secondly, the room's soundproofing was absolutely terrible!!!!! At 2:30 AM, I was woken up by the neighbors watching a TV show and discussing the plot. I could hear everything crystal clear, and it didn't stop until 4 AM. It seemed other guests could hear it too, as someone even knocked on their door. Being utterly exhausted yet forced awake was truly a torment. After only three hours of sleep, I woke up feeling completely lost and out of sorts. 😅

There are many people everywhere on holidays, so I think about going to Gaoyou to go around and see Wang Lao's hometown. The hotel is very large and quiet. The parking lot is very convenient. Breakfast is OK. It is convenient to have a bus next to the door. I will choose here next time.
