AAnonymous UserDuring my summer vacation trip to Dongjiang Lake in Chenzhou, I stayed at the 'Ancient Times' hotel, and I was absolutely delighted!
The location is superb, very close to the scenic area's ticket office, just a few minutes' walk away. This was perfect for us traveling with kids, as we wanted them to get extra sleep but also not miss out on the beautiful sights. If you're driving, parking is also convenient; you can park your car for free right next to the courtyard, so no worries about finding a parking spot.
Upon arrival, the service was exceptionally thoughtful. As soon as our car stopped, someone was there to help with our luggage. The owner had also sent me the location on WeChat in advance and helped me book attraction tickets. They greeted us warmly and even gave snacks to the kids at the front desk.
The courtyard is also quite charming, with water features and small fish. My child would always stop there to watch the fish as soon as we returned.
I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Dongjiang Lake again!

My room was clean and comfortable with curtains that ensured a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially the front desk who helped with restaurant recommendations. Overall, great value for the price and I would definitely stay here again

The cleanliness was impeccable, and the bathroom was spotless with no unpleasant odors. What touched me most was the front desk lady; she not only upgraded my room but also thoughtfully recommended some great local restaurants. So considerate!

Although it was booked at the last minute, I am still very satisfied. Maybe it is the off-season now and there are not many people, so there were still rooms available when I went there at the last minute. When we left, the owner was also very nice and helped us book a car to Chenzhou West Railway Station. When we first arrived, the owner recommended us a restaurant that the locals go to, and even lent us an electric scooter for us to go around! ! It’s really good! It is also very close to Xiaodong River. You can walk to the scenic area with your ID card and take a bus. And! ! After arriving at the store, because I didn't see clearly that we booked a low loft room for couples, the store owner saw that we were bringing children and said that it was not recommended to bring children to stay in the loft room. They upgraded us to a room with two beds and a very good view. , the bed is also very comfortable, but the air conditioner is a bit dirty and the cooling is a bit slow. There is a small swimming pool downstairs. Children want to play but don't have time. There is a food court on the left hand side of the door. There are many shops outside. It is very convenient to have coffee, milk tea and meals. It was a little noisy when people were eating and drinking at night, but it didn't last all night. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the B&B to Xiaodongjiang Service Center. Overall, it's pretty good. The kids also felt that the stay was not enough. They wanted to play in the small swimming pool, but they didn't have the chance. The store's service attitude was very good and considerate. I would recommend it to friends.

The key point is very very clean and tidy, there is enough hot water and water pressure, the facilities and equipment are very new, the environment is very good, and it is relatively quiet. She will answer any questions and respond to any requests. The environment in the B&B is good, but the outdoor swimming pool may not be open in winter. The hygiene in the room is good. Children can play in the pool, but breakfast has to be eaten somewhere else. It would be better if breakfast could be enjoyed in the B&B. The restaurant recommended by the lady at the front desk is also good. Overall, it is good.
