AAnonymous UserDuring my summer vacation trip to Dongjiang Lake in Chenzhou, I stayed at the 'Ancient Times' hotel, and I was absolutely delighted!
The location is superb, very close to the scenic area's ticket office, just a few minutes' walk away. This was perfect for us traveling with kids, as we wanted them to get extra sleep but also not miss out on the beautiful sights. If you're driving, parking is also convenient; you can park your car for free right next to the courtyard, so no worries about finding a parking spot.
Upon arrival, the service was exceptionally thoughtful. As soon as our car stopped, someone was there to help with our luggage. The owner had also sent me the location on WeChat in advance and helped me book attraction tickets. They greeted us warmly and even gave snacks to the kids at the front desk.
The courtyard is also quite charming, with water features and small fish. My child would always stop there to watch the fish as soon as we returned.
I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Dongjiang Lake again!

GGuest UserI have to recommend this B&B I stayed in when I traveled some time ago! The location is great, close to the scenic area, and there are various specialty snack shops around. Once you enter the room, it is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm, giving you a homely feeling. Although the facilities are not super luxurious, they are complete and easy to use. I have to praise the lady at the front desk, she is very enthusiastic! She was thoughtful and turned on the air conditioner in advance. Seeing that there were three of us staying, she proactively replenished toothbrushes, disposable slippers and water. She was very responsible. At first I thought she was the boss, but later I found out that she was not. It was really worry-free for the boss to have such responsible employees. The lady also contacted me in advance to tell me the detailed route. After checking in, she also shared many niche attractions and food tips that only locals know. Living here is as comfortable as visiting a friend's house. It is very cost-effective and must be praised! Next time I come here, I will definitely choose this one!

My room was clean and comfortable with curtains that ensured a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially the front desk who helped with restaurant recommendations. GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location, only 4-5 minutes' drive from Xiaodongjiang. We set out for Xiaodongjiang at 7am and were able to catch up with breakfast when we returned to the hotel after the tour. The room was very clean and tidy. The most admirable thing was the 180-degree terrace, which overlooked the beautiful river. In the evening, we could have a drink and a bite to eat on the terrace and chat. I loved it!

GGuest UserThe stay experience is perfect! The location is excellent, the surrounding environment is very good, and it is close to Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area, Gaoyiling and places to eat. The key point is very very clean and tidy, there is enough hot water and water pressure, the facilities and equipment are very new, the environment is very good, and it is relatively quiet. The front desk service is very warm and thoughtful, proactive, warm and considerate, and recommends attractions and food guides. I was taken care of throughout the whole process, highly recommended.

It is very close to Dongjiang Lake, just ten minutes walk, and the hotel breakfast is OK. But the disadvantages are also obvious. Linhu is also on the first floor with open doors and windows. There are so many mosquitoes... There is no temper. Although the mosquito repellent has not been bitten at night, there are always mosquitoes in the house when they fly by. It is also a stomach fire... Then the bathroom door is transparent, Although there is a partition separating the bathing area, the partition is bad, especially difficult to pull out, the room is relatively small, the family room for three people, this setting is really unreasonable, the door is not repaired, the price of the small city, this price is not supposed to be.

Room is lovely and cozy, ac works well, bed is comfy, everything works well except the toilet is easily stuck, and some corners are dusty.
Includes breakfast but gotta walk 8-10 mins. So I skip it.
Recommend visit in summer time.
