I'm going to give this hotel, Wilson Arms, my highest rating ever! The accommodation is very reasonably priced, including cooked breakfast - I had a full English. My room has two arm chairs, comfortable large bed and lovely bathroom. The view from the window couldn't be better. The food last was also delicious and great value. Good range of beers including two hand drawn. Only a few rooms and fully booked last night.

The cottage is a little hard to find as the GPS takes to a different location in the hamlet. Once you find it though the cottage is absolutely lovely and secluded up on the hill above the hamlet of Houlsyke. and accessed through a narrow break in the buildings and up a private road to hollins Farm about halfway up the hill. The farm is very peaceful and the location is excellent for exploring the moors as well as many villages close by like Danby and others. A day trip to Whitby which is about 12 miles away is also easy from this location. The cottage is very well equipped and comforatble and it is great getting back to nature with horses, cows, rabbits and chickens always around the cottage. A short walk up the hill behind the farm brings you to one of the many local Moors and you can walk up a track through the moors to the Danby Beacon
