This graceful ryokan has been running a business for 150 years located in a sedated little town. Maybe it’s off season. I felt I was in the middle of nowhere worrying what to do with my time there. However Izumi San the host has been helping me above and beyond trying to make me feel welcome. She escorted me to and from the onsen each night punctually. She got all the information for me to rent a bicycle and get me the bus time table ready for me to travel to Hiroshima. Btw the bike ride was amazing and is a must do for islands hopping. Although we communicated mostly through Google translate and some of my broken Japanese. We have had some good laugh. Chaume did offer me couple of restful nights. To Izumi San, arigato gozaimasu. 💝

The location is just below the Duoduo Bridge. The whole hotel is very design. The staff are very good in English. It is very convenient to communicate. There is a cafe facing the sea and the bridge. We even ate afternoon tea dinner and lunch. There are also some free buses near the hotel. But we were lazy to get out of the door. We set a cottage facing the bridge and the sea. It looks great! The room is also very comfortable. Recommend! !

We did the Shimanami Kaido and spent one night here before turning around and returning to Onomichi the next day. They allow bikes to be kept in the room and it was more spacious than expected. We comfortably fit 3 bikes. The building is a little on the older side, but the customer service was great. Would gladly stay again.

In particular, there is a toilet and bathtub on the veranda side, and you can take a bath while looking at the mountains. The hot spring water is really good. It's said to be the three great beauty baths, but it's alkaline water, so it's slippery and it's kept simmering. The bathtub in the room also comes out with hot spring water, which takes a little longer. It is recommended to wash in the large bath in the basement. Maybe it's because of the mood, but after the hot spring, the skin feels soft. The seasonal food is also delicious The reception of the staff is very kind I was told to prepare a bed after dinner, so I went in for the first time and didn't unpack my bag separately. After crossing the Seto Bridge and enjoying the view, I heard it at the end of the trip at the break level. I want to go again. Oh, it was the most delicious craft beer on this trip to sell local craft beer in the restaurant :)

I thought this place was remote and difficult to reach by public transportation. For this reason, I took a small amount of money to take a taxi in and out, and I wanted to give a bad evaluation. But the moment you see the hotel facilities and scenery, everything is no longer important. When the weather is good, the room and restaurant can see the super super beautiful scenery! The sunset and morning light are so beautiful. The meal is superb, you must choose one night, two or three meals, each meal is eaten, and the taste is very good. The room is large and the layout is very good. The only regret is that there is no natural hot spring, otherwise you can really choose to live here for three days.

Booked a single room, there is a bed, to be honest, the room is small, but the price is there. The bathroom and toilet are shared, but the hygiene is no problem, very clean, there is a shared kitchen, there is a microwave oven to heat the lunch, and it is similar to at home. This time it was the cycling island Bohai Road, the hotel in the middle, the hotel was on the shrine of a shrine, and the hotel's integrated dining bar solved the breakfast and lunch problem very well.

It was very clean and comfortable, the host was very kind! Totally worth it after the cycling route it’s 10min away from the station.

2024.7月以来2回目の利用でした。 多々羅大橋のたもとにある大三島BSからは島の反対側ですが、バスで移動しました。バス停からはすぐです。 近くにマーレ・グラッシア大三島さんがあって温泉に入れるし、大三島ブリューワリーさんはすぐ近くなのが気に入っています。 大山祇神社も徒歩で行けて、朝の静かで凛とした空気の中でお参り出来ました。 ランドリーやキッチンもあるので、長期滞在やサイクリングの宿に最適だと思います。 オーナーご夫妻も気さくで、また大三島に行く時には利用したいです。
