Wonderful room, service, and overall experience. The room was equipped with a gas heater that quickly warmed the room up despite the January cold. There were also cups, a tea pot, satchels of green tea, and an electric kettle to prepare tea in the room. The onsen bath was very hot and wonderful and the futon and pillows were comfortable. 5/5 experience!

Everything was great. It really felt like a traditional Japanese lodging. They have 3 private onsens that you can use if they're not occupied. During my stay, I never saw all three taken at once, and most of the time, they were all free. I had the best night's sleep of my trip, 8 hours without waking up. The food was good too.

The food at Jiayuan Hot Springs Ryokan is one of the best in Shiman Onsen. Both the dinner and breakfast were rich and delicious, leaving me full but unable to stop eating. I stayed in the ”Tong” room this time, and the shower and hot spring area are located outside the room on the left. While the view was beautiful, I felt cold even in early autumn. This room type is definitely not for hot springs in winter. For food lovers, this is a must-stay. Even the locals say the food at Jiayuan is excellent, and I agree, having stayed at another hotel in Shiman and compared it to Jiayuan's food. The hot spring water quality was just okay, though.

The location of the hotel is relatively remote, it is a unique hot spring , it is worth a visit. The room I chose includes an indoor independent hot spring, but please pay attention to the lack of bathing facilities outside the room. If you want to take a bath, you have to go to the large bath. If there is a bathing facilities in the room, it is more perfect. The attitude of the staff is very good. There is a convenience store next to it until 9 o'clock in the evening. Snacks are also provided in the hotel. If you are hungry, you can buy snacks, alcohol drinks, etc. at the counter. This hotel is worth recommending 

宿泊客が少なかったせいか岩風呂、露天風呂は貸切でした。家族経営のこじんまりとした昭和な旅館、御主人は大変良くしてくれました。夕食は〆の美味しい自家製蕎麦が提供されお腹いっぱい。
