Amazing
GGuest UserWhat impressed me most was the excellent breakfast and dinner! I highly recommend staying at this onsen hotel when visiting Gunma. The main dish for dinner was sukiyaki, which was delicious, and each dish was prepared with great care. The food here is really tasty! This time, I stayed in a room with a private open-air onsen bath. The onsen quality here is very high; the spring water isn't heated, allowing you to soak while enjoying the view of Mount Tanigawa. The service was impeccable in every detail, including specially provided pajamas and decaffeinated roasted tea served at night. The next morning, you can also enjoy complimentary coffee while admiring Mount Tanigawa again.

LLammieWorth the price if you’re looking for authentic Japanese food and ryokan experience. Comfy private indoor onsen. The staff are really nice and can communicate in English via good translate. They has a shuttle to Minakami Station when we checked out.

GGuest UserThe staff was very good. I am very satisfied that I can enjoy the food and eat various dishes little by little. I didn't get tired of watching the murals in the bath. The staff was very happy to serve and it was a fun trip. There are few inns that I want to use again, but Tatsumi Kan wanted to use it again! Thank you.

GGladventuresWe had an amazing and relaxing stay! We truly loved it and had a wonderful night surrounded by serene nature. The view was absolutely beautiful — the lake is just right in front of the hotel! The place is spotless and very well maintained. But what truly made our stay special was the incredible staff. A big shoutout to Mr. Ozu, the General Manager, for going the extra mile with his thoughtfulness! When he learned that we were heading to the ropeway the next day (and that there were no bus trips on weekdays), he kindly offered us a ride. He was also genuinely concerned about our hike and overall safety — so heartwarming! Since we didn’t get the dinner package and there was only one restaurant nearby that closed at 4 p.m., we decided to get a takeout for dinner. My friend also asked if there was a nearby café to buy a cake for my birthday, but there wasn’t any. Later that evening, after we came back from the onsen, someone knocked on our door and surprised us with a complimentary cake! They said it was because we didn’t have dinner and they wanted to celebrate my birthday. Awwww! Such a thoughtful and sweet gesture! 🎂💖 In the morning, Mr. Ozu even gave us taxi numbers and the bus schedule for Yumoto Onsen, making sure our travel plans went smoothly. Truly amazing hospitality — we felt so cared for and appreciated throughout our stay! 🌿✨

Yyimassistant teamVery recommended, the host is very helpful. There is breakfast and dinner similar to fine dining, delicious food every meal. The room is clean with an onsen as well. And the atmosphere is very good If you come back around here Will stay here again If you come a month with snow, it should be very good.

GGuest UserA newly built modern hotel that comes with a private onsen in your balcony. Dinner with fusion which is not the usual for ryokan stays. You get to choose between Japanese or Western cuisine which we opt for Japanese and it was delicious! it's just a 6mins walk down to the Supermarket. Will definitely come back some day again!

GGuest UserIt's a bathing place, but there is no shower room in the room, so you have to go to the public bath to take a bath. The service is also average, it seems polite, but the corridor is carpeted, and no one is willing to help you with your luggage when you check out, so you can only pull a suitcase cart back to the room to take your luggage.

GGuest UserOur visit to this hotel was perfectly adequate. The traditional setting provided a nice sense of atmosphere, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The onsen facilities themselves were clean and relaxing, meeting our expectations for a hot spring experience. Our room was spacious, but the amenities felt a little dated and could use some refreshment. Dinner and breakfast were included, offering a standard array of Japanese cuisine that was palatable, though not exceptional. The staff were polite. Overall, it's a safe and decent choice if you're looking for a no-frills, standard onsen hotel experience.

BBenSo many little things that make this hotel much better than anything else. The way they show you to your room, the way they put your shoes away and bring them back on your departure date, the way dinner and breakfast is waiting for you at your own private table, the way they let couples share an onsen during quiet hours. My point is - you will feel like a VIP here. The staff and always there, taking care of you in subtle ways, but you never feel watched or intruded on. This kind of invisible service - maybe hard for westerners to understand, but it is excellent. You will feel like you are really being understand and looked after. Highly recommend. Best hotel service I've had in japan in 2 years of living here. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserThe three-person room feels new, and the equipment will be more new than the room. The guests who feel that they are basically coming to the private lake view hot spring on the top floor, or the reason for the cold wave. There are almost no people using the two large baths, and several times they are private. Although the three-story large bathing area has open air, in fact, the large bathing area on the first floor also has open-air hot springs. It really has a special flavor to soak in hot springs in the snow.
