A perfect score is a must. Service, room views, access to attractions (right in front, plus the hotel's own garden with geothermal outlets!), breakfast and dinner, spacious rooms, and the hot spring (private baths available for a fee) are all excellent. You can even smell sulfur from the terrace!

It's a truly beautiful hotel. I traveled there from Kumamoto, which is a bit far, but if you do your research, it's definitely worth it. There's one more thing I must tell you all: the private hot spring outside their entrance. I can assure you, what you see is exactly what you get—it's just like the videos I found on social media, absolutely stunning! However! In September and October, there are tons of sea roaches on the rocks along the beach.

The location is near the bus stop. It is convenient for people who do not drive. The staff is very nice, and the food is delicious. If you go to Obama and want to rest, I recommend you stay at this hotel and enjoy your day.

Beautiful and luxurious ryokan well situated a short walk from town and the popular attractions. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were kind and attentive. The beds were very comfortable and our entire stay was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay in this hotel and staff is very helpful. Room is clean and looks recently renovated. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and filling; outdoor onsen was not crowded. Felt relaxed during my stay here 😄 Especially grateful to Mr Inoue, who was a great help in sorting out my booking issue. Great hospitality!

I stayed here for my birthday trip. Right from the moment I was greeted, I was very welcomed and felt at ease. The hot spring was very pleasant, and the amenities were of good taste. The building and rooms were well-cleaned, and it was clear that they had put a lot of thought into it. Dinner and breakfast were also surprisingly delicious, exceeding my expectations! They had prepared a cake for me as a surprise in advance, and their service was wonderful. The next day, when I asked if I could take home the cake I wasn't able to eat, they thoughtfully made a container for me to take it home in, and packed it up beautifully with ice packs. I was able to take it home safely. Their thoughtful service was very soothing, and I was able to spend a wonderful time. Thank you so much!

We enjoyed our one night stay at this Guesthouse, which can give a feel of Japanese ryokans. Our tatami room was perfect for the experience, very ample, very comfortable. The guesthouse has its baths, which are good to use. The morning breakfast included in the price is perfect insight into the traditional Japanese cuisine, location in walking distance to the Unzen sights, parking at the site, with good price for this all.

고민하고 계시다면 고민하실 필요 없다고 말씀드리고 싶네요 정말 좋은 경험이었습니다 모든직원이 매우 친절하시고 상냥했으며 시설은 오래된 느낌이나 관리가 잘되어 있어 오히려 좋았습니다 객실은 다다미방이었는데로 옛날느낌이 살아 있고 바다를 바로 바라볼 수 있어서 근사했습니다 온천 또한 1층도 좋았지만 5층 옥상의 온천은 19:30이후부터 30분 간격으로 객실당 프라이빗하게 이용할 수 있었고 그 이전에는 자유롭게 이용 가능한데 파란하늘과 바다를 바라보며 온천을 하는것이 너무 기분이 좋았네요 식사 또한 석식은 물론 조식도 아주 정갈하고 하나하나 다 맛있어서 싹 비우게 되었네요 여행와서 제대로 대접받는 느낌을 받고 왔네요 강력하게 추천해요

Hotel location is good, go right and turn to the hot spring shrine, then enter the hot spring hell area, walk about half an hour, a very good feeling. The breakfast is rich and the food is served. We live in a Japanese tatami for six people and are very suitable for family trips. The hotel is too old and some facilities can't keep up with the new hotel. The parking lot is large and there is no problem parking. The fly in the ointment is likely to be economically depressed. The nearby restaurants have not been opened. After a long walk, the supermarket's talents have been asked to find a delicious restaurant (the hotel will turn left about 500 meters after going out). There is also the hot spring water is too hot, higher than 40 degrees, can not stand for a few minutes.
