Friendly Staff Who Truly Welcome You
What I noticed right away was how genuinely friendly the staff were. Every time we entered or walked past the front desk, we were greeted with a smile or a kind word. It’s such a simple gesture, but it created this feeling of being looked after, as if we were more than just passing guests.
A Location That Balances Quiet and Convenience
The hotel’s setting struck the perfect balance—peaceful and quiet, yet still so easy to get into the city center. It felt like we had the best of both worlds: calm evenings by the water, and the city’s energy just a short ride away.
Beautiful Skyline and Water Views
From the hotel, the view stretched across the skyline and the water, and it was just lovely. Whether it was morning light reflecting off the buildings or the soft glow in the evenings, those views gave the place a special atmosphere that I won’t forget.

Looking back, what made Clarion Hotel The Pier memorable wasn’t just the location or the facilities—it was the sense of care woven through the stay. Between the quiet setting, the beautiful views, the comfort of the room, and those daily warm greetings (especially at breakfast), the hotel managed to feel both professional and genuinely personal.

CChennvshiThis was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip. The room featured bunk beds, thoughtfully separated from the main bed, which is ideal for families with children. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful; they provided a brief overview of the hotel and proactively offered a map of the playground. The breakfast restaurant even had a small carousel for the little ones. Hotel guests receive free admission to the playground after 6 PM by showing their booking confirmation. The hotel does not have its own parking. We had to use two nearby paid parking lots, and I recall it cost 425 SEK per day. We stayed for two nights, and the parking fees really added up.

II-Ping Neal HsiehVery historic hotel. The building is beautiful inside and outside, with ulterior motives. There are many retro furniture and furnishings inside, and the atmosphere is great.
The interior of the room is fully equipped, and the wooden furniture used is also very antique, which matches the image of the hotel. Don't use a modern room card, but still use a copper key, which is very weighty in your hand.
The breakfast in the hotel is very rich. It is recommended to watch the meal provided before starting to eat. Breakfast recommended lettuce bagel salmon meat, very delicious. In addition, there is a 24-hour hot coffee, which is quite intimate. After going out, you can have a cup of hot coffee in the beautiful lobby to warm up.
The best thing is the location, just beside the central station, just across the road, the traffic is in all directions, the bus stop to the airport and the central station together, and you can reach the airport in half an hour.
If you come back to Gothenburg, you will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, and any queries I had were addressed promptly and with genuine care. One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. The spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. From fresh pastries and bread to a selection of hot dishes, cereals, fruits, and yogurts, there was something for everyone. The quality of the food was also noteworthy, making for a delightful start to each day. Overall, the Scandic Göteborg Central offered a comfortable and convenient base for my time in Gothenburg. Its perfect location near the central station, coupled with the great service and delicious breakfast, made for a memorable and enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

GGuest UserThe first stop of this business trip was Gothenburg Airport, where the bus came directly. The last stop was next to it, and it took only six or seven minutes to walk to Gothenburg Central Station. The hotel entrance was under renovation, and the facilities were OK. The room was average size, which was the regular European style. You needed to bring your own disposable toothbrush and slippers. The breakfast was OK. I arrived early, communicated with the front desk, and arranged a room.

I arrived at 11 a.m., so I tried to leave my luggage, but I was able to check in in the morning.
The staff were all friendly and well equipped with amenities such as gym, washing machine, breakfast buffet and restaurant.
It was a little unfortunate that the breakfast menu did not change during my stay for about a week, but the taste was good.
The surroundings of the hotel were quiet, and it was quiet, and the center came out on foot for 15 to 20 minutes.
I would like to stay at the same hostel even if I come back for business trip next time.
