Great homestay with friendly and serviceminded hosts The Dengfeng Youlu Homestay was a very nice experience and can be highly recommended. The rooms were very clean and modern. Spacious and with comfortable beds. The bathroom was also modern with nice amenities. The location is a little outside the city, but closer to the main attractions to Mount Song. So easy to reach with taxi. We found the location very good and convenient since we wanted to go to the scenic areas. We had breakfast included and found it very tasty and nice. It was plain and fresh and a nice selection of nutritious food before starting the day. The service was very good. The hosts didn’t speak much English, but we used translator apps so absolutely no problem for foreigners. The Dengfeng Youlu honestly has a nice compound with a Chinese garden. They also have a pool. It looks very comfy and cosy to sit and enjoy the garden, but we were there in beginning January so it was wintertime. The room we got had nice view of the garden and the mountains. We can for sure recommend this homestay and we think the reviews written so fare are very correct.

This stay at the guesthouse on this side of the mountain completely exceeded my expectations, making it arguably the most pleasant short trip I've had recently—I have to give it a shout-out! Let me start with the most stunning aspect: the environment and the view. The guesthouse truly lived up to its name; opening the window revealed a breathtaking panorama of rolling mountains. In the early morning, you could even see the mountainside shrouded in mist, the whole scene resembling a traditional Chinese ink painting. When the sun came out, you could see Wansui Peak, one of the 72 peaks of Songshan Mountain, right outside the window. The room's natural wood tones paired with soft lighting instantly relieved the fatigue of my journey. The sheets and blankets were clean and tidy, and the room was warm and cozy, with no dampness even on rainy days. The staff were incredibly welcoming, providing travel tips and introducing local delicacies in Dengfeng. I wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse.

When we checked out, we were holding our down jackets, and they proactively offered us bags for them. The hotel also offers one complimentary pick-up or drop-off service per day. When I made my reservation, the staff member kindly suggested I could choose a further location for the service, which would be more cost-effective. Amenities: The room featured smart home technology, and it was a thoughtful touch that the lights automatically turned on as soon as you opened the door, even without inserting a key card. The toothbrushes were color-coded for easy identification, and there was plenty of storage space, which is great for families. The slippers were also of excellent quality. Breakfast: The breakfast spread was comprehensive, offering both common Chinese and Western options. The spicy soup (Hulatang) was delicious, and they even had savory pancakes (Jiangxiangbing) and steamed red dates, all of which tasted great. Our whole family of three gave it a unanimous thumbs up. Overall: It exceeded our expectations. If we have the chance to visit again, we would definitely choose to stay here.

It doesn't seem feasible to reach the hotel by public transport, so having a car is necessary. Accessing the hotel entrance on foot involves climbing a flight of stairs from ground level. Once inside, guests must take the lift to reach the reception on level 6 for check-in. Luggage loading can be managed in carpark B1, and this requires the hotel to open the gate for vehicle access. In terms of service, the hotel staff were attentive and provided good service. They efficiently dried my son's and my sports shoes overnight, saving us from having to travel in wet footwear the next day. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was delivered to our room. We were able to enjoy it on our small balcony, which was a delightful touch. The breakfast was both healthy and delicious.

The front desk was warm and thoughtful, and took the initiative to help with luggage and introduce tourist routes. The overall environment of the hotel is clean and tidy, the decoration style incorporates Zen culture, and the lobby and corridors are full of design sense, which makes people feel comfortable. The room is spacious and bright, the bedding is soft and clean, the sound insulation effect is very good, and it is very quiet at night. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet, the toiletries are complete, and the hot water supply is sufficient. The details are in place, free mineral water, smart toilets, etc., the experience is full! In general, whether it is a family trip or a solo trip, this is the best choice for Dengfeng accommodation! Super cost-effective, I will definitely stay here next time I come to Dengfeng!

Booked it to be closer to Shaolin Temple. It's very close to the mountain gate and you can walk to the mountain gate. But you still need to buy a sightseeing bus to the Shaolin Temple Permanent Hospital and Pagoda Forest, otherwise it takes a long time to walk. The hotel has its own restaurant, which is quite convenient.

It is indeed a big bed room, the facilities are basically everything, that is, the toiletries need to be picked up at the front desk, this hotel is very close to the Shaolin Scenic Area of Lushan, and it is about 900m on foot.
