Royal thai Villas is a Great place to stay and I highly recommend it just manage expectations. It is a remote quiet place from the busier rawai area but then with that comes the fact that it’s not really in walking distance to anything, and you have to take a quick 10 minute taxi to places, like rawai seafood market and nai harn beach, It is somewhat harder for the taxis to find but they will eventually find it. It’s just small streets closer to the water way so the first time in there your taxi driver may need to ask around for the specific side street to go to. The place is quiet, but then with that comes the fact that there is not the abundance of staff and in-house restaurants so just expect that besides the free breakfast, you probably will have to book a taxi to go to local restaurants and things to do. So expect a very peaceful and scenic place to stay with amazing views, but be aware that you will not have staff to hand hold you with things to do on site or offsite and the staff do not even show up to the premises until about 8:30 AM and so food is not available until then.

We went for lunch. It is a beautiful location. The staff were very willing, but the service for the meal was diabolical. We ordered a burger Caesar Salad, grilled tuna and steak tartare. The burger arrived first, the Caesar salad 15-20 minutes later the steak tartare a further 15 minutes after that and the Tuna 45 minutes after that! We were the only customers!!
