Wellness Hotel Apollo – Terme & Wellness LifeClass ★★★★
"The Hotel Apollo is certainly comfortable and in an excellent location, near the sea and practically in the center of Portorož. The room was quiet and the staff were friendly, excellent breakfast. But ... 1) the thermal pools are shared with two other hotels and open to the public: in fact it makes all the hydromassage services they offer impracticable 2) there is no control over how long the spa services can be occupied hydromassage and therefore we found ourselves groups of people who have monopolized these services 3) it is unthinkable in a hotel that claims to be 4 stars not to be able to have a coffee due to the absence of a bar (and also of any automatic machine) I think therefore I will never return to this establishment again"
Hotel Piran ★★★★
"Super efficient check in service, the two girls at reception were brilliant. There is a no car restriction in the village and the girls got us to the parking area and had a free shuttle waiting there for us. Absolutely brilliant Thanks."
Hotel Palace Portoroz by Minor Hotels ★★★★★
"This hotel recently ended its partnership with the Kempinski hotel chain, and unfortunately, the difference is clearly noticeable. The new operator, Minor Hotels under the Minor Reserve Collection, is officially expected to launch in 2027. However, it is disappointing that while charging the same premium rates, the level of service and overall experience of a five-star hotel has already declined so significantly. The most noticeable issue is the lack of staff. Waiting times for valet service have become considerably longer, whether dropping off or retrieving a car. At the front desk, there is often only one employee assisting guests, and despite the hotel appearing noticeably less busy than in previous years, staffing levels still seem insufficient. Additionally, during our stay only one elevator was operating. While not a major issue on its own, this is simply not the standard expected from a five-star property. Several elements that once defined the luxury experience have also been reduced or removed. One of the restaurants was closed, pool service no longer offers the same attentive food and beverage experience, and housekeeping now arrives noticeably later in the day compared to previous stays. Breakfast deserves special mention. Unfortunately, the selection is weaker than in previous years, and guests are now expected to fetch much more themselves, which takes away from the comfort and level of service expected at this standard. This is a significant drawback. That said, we would especially like to praise the younger lady working at breakfast service, who was outstanding — professional, attentive, and truly delivering the level of hospitality one would expect from a luxury hotel. Even the smaller details reveal the change. The shower gels and shampoos are of lower quality, the amenity kits feel basic, the minibar selection is more limited, and even the maintenance of the surrounding gardens and park areas lacks the attention to detail that was once so evident. Overall, this property feels noticeably downgraded compared to last year under the Kempinski hotel chain. We understand that transitions take time, but lowering standards while maintaining five-star pricing is difficult to justify. We sincerely hope this is only a transitional phase and that the hotel will soon return to the level of excellence and attention to detail that once made it truly stand out."
Boutique Hotel Portorose ★★★★
"Excellent location. The staff is very friendly."
Hotel Vile Park ★★★
"Breakfast was delicious.Hotel view and location are amazing."
Barbara Piran Beach Hotel ★★★
"Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. We really enjoyed our trip here. The staff were lovely - Zan was very helpful. The breakfasts were nice and the surrounding countryside is lush and green. It’s an easy walk to Piran (bit dark on the way back). Very comfortable and clean."
Rooms Koblar ★★
"Rooms Koblar has been recently renovated and is really up to modern standards at a very reasonable price. It has all the comforts you might want: large screen tv, refrigerator in room, wifi, air-conditioning and heating, parking right in front of the room.Check in is automated, and 24 hours available. On the grounds there is a large terrace with furniture where you can spend an enjoyable evening with a glass of wine. ( This you need to buy nearby and bring along.) Downtown Portoroz is within walking distance and Piran is s short drive from here. Breakfast is not served, but there are various cafes nearby. The owner is very friendly and helpful."
Hotel Slovenija - Terme & Wellness LifeClass ★★★★★
"Top Top Top Top Top"
Grand Hotel Bernardin ★★★★★
"Very friendly staff, the pool and the beach are very well maintained. The location of the hotel is between Piran and Portorož and there are many quiet and nice restaurants for evening outings. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The terrace offers a beautiful view of the sea and a magnificent sunset."

Remisens Hotel Metropol
"We stayed at the Casa Rosa annex. The maintenance is really poor in the room, the walls were dirty and scraped, there were spiderwebs. The bathtub with shower really dangerous as it has a 60 cm step to get into it. The location of the hotel is beautiful, but the services would need more care especially the pools and the outdoor pool on the beach has a 3 star service not 5 as expected, very annoying. The restaurant offers a lot of food but again it’s not at all a 5 star level. The quality is medium poor. The drinks are all upon payment. There is no dress code for the restaurant which is very disappointing for a 5 star level. It’s very annoying seeing people wearing shorts and flip flops without the minimum care or decency for a dinner at the hotel."
Remisens Hotel Lucija
"It was great experiance. The rooms are new, the pool and spa are completly new, the food is very well"
Hotel Riviera - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass
"The treatment at check-in was unacceptable. The only room not ready was during an event. After a two-hour wait, the room wasn't ready while all the others were being assigned. Absolute inability to manage customers, with arrogance and rudeness."
Hotel Neptun - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass
"Excellent location of the hotel, clean and spacious rooms but disappointing breakfast and dinner buffets, especially regarding the variety and quality of the products. The hotel should also be modernized a bit. Very good spa and thermal pools!!!"
Depandansa Casa Rosa
"This hotel claims to be smoke free and yet customers are smoking by the pool and life guard says nothing. The pool by the beach is showing wear and tear."
Remisens Casa Bel Moretto, Depandansa Hotela Metropol
"Lovely experience. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome drink upon arrival – such a nice touch! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which we really appreciated given the warm weather. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The only small issues we had were figuring out how to turn on the shower – it wasn't very intuitive – and we felt that the cleanliness in the bathroom could have been a little better. Other than that, everything was great and we would definitely recommend this hotel!"
Hotel Svoboda - Terme Krka
"Regarding the pool services, it's important to note that the water is seawater, which is a plus, but the hydromassage jets are few and far between. To be precise, I was in the pool between 6:40 PM and 8:00 PM, and they activated the jets only once, lasting about 10 minutes. Therefore, I believe the €20 charge is not adequate for the service offered."
Hotel Salinera
"It was nice, but I missed refrigerator in my room."
Hotel Oleander - Oleander Resort
"The hotel's facilities are a bit old, the sound insulation is not very good, but the staff service is still very good, very warm, very comfortable"
Apartments Vila Barka
Hostel Panorama Portorož
"Very simple but correct. Very friendly staff, the receptionist loves person. Beautiful views. Room lacking air conditioning and the kitchen is shared. Right breakfast . A little complicated to arrive at night, has parking and is free. The hotel was very comfortable and was very surprising."
Vila Piranesi Apartments
"The accommodation is very nice, you can see that here was renovated. The reception is very friendly. The accommodation is located directly on the main square. You have to park the car a little outside in a parking garage but there is a shuttle bus or with about 20 minutes walk along the promenade you are also back in the accommodation. The rooms have one bedroom. However, if you use it with 4 people, the sofa in the living room is not too comfortable. For 1-2 nights but to endure"
