Entirely renovated Hotel, it is part of a larger resort with two more hotels, a 3 and a 5 stars and some apartments. The histrion is shapped like a C, has 2 sides, 1 toward the sea and 1 looking inward toward the marina, it has 3 floors with circa 100 rooms per floor, odd numbers look inwards, even toward the sea and the bay. Rooms seems pretty standard, so this description should reflect most 2 to 3 people rooms. Our room was 192, at the very end of the concourse, on 1st floor (reception is on floor #2 the street level, level 0 is the pool and beach). We had enough space to store our luggages and clothes for our long weekend stay, the bed was OK albeit on the rather soft side, bathroom was small, but functional. There was a fridge for our use and a large balcony with seating, toward the bay and Portoroz. We had no issue parking on one of their few parking lots, in our case right across the Histrion entry. The breakfast had plenty choice, baked goods, fruits, eggs, coffee wad a let down (instant type from a machine), we took the half board option, The hotel did not provide with a pool towels set, we needed to arrange a separate set for the salt water pools and sea side. The pool area is included in the room price, it is huge by any standard, clean, full of light with floor to ceiling glass doors and windows, and house 4 large indoor pools, and some small slides that will make kids up to 4 /5 y/o happy. The sea front is 1m from the pools and accessible from the pool area. After check out, the hotel allows departing guests to still use the facilities till 17h00, they left us the room cards paper holder, and the pool staff delivered us bracelets tags to enter, instead of our room key cards. Our stay was half board, diner options were pretty solid 1 of the 2 nights, and made the value for money worth it. Location is great, 1.5kms walk from Piran thru the sea front pedestrian walk, and 2kms to Portoroz tiny center. In all honesty the resort is nicer than Portoroz itself, similar but way cozier. Hotel offers kids playrooms and daily programmes, and evening mini disco too. All in all, excellent value for money, location is prime and quiet, just the size of the venue can be a turn off (300 rooms on 3 floors only), the staff was friendly, albeit some were a tat rough at 1st, but then became friendlier. We loved the place and think it offered a very good value for money
