Locate beside the river with the nice view. 10 mins walk from the station but very close to restaurant. 15 mins walk to Pisa tower. Staff is very nice. Room is a bit old but look like having history in it.

The hotel is quite grand and feels very historic, with oil paintings and pianos dotted throughout. I booked a room by the river, and the view was absolutely lovely. The front desk staff were also very thoughtful, providing a map and even highlighting various attractions for me. The only real headache was the toilet flush – the button was incredibly stiff and hard to control, making my finger sore from pressing it so hard. Despite this minor issue, the overall experience was still very good.

The only minor issue was mosquitoes, though a repellent was provided. Unfortunately, there was noise from some guests drinking until past 4 AM. However, the view was absolutely stunning, and breakfast was plentiful. While the room facilities were a bit dated, it had a charming classical European ambiance.

Great location with river view but you have to keep in mind originally building was built 1050 and terribly outdated. Crack and dent everywhere. However breakfast is good enough.

Great choice to stay here. Very convenient , not far from train station, restaurant and Pisa tower… you can walk around nearby… it’s very nice view.

The best location, overlooking the river, near all the restaurants and bars and just a 10 minute walk to the leaning tower. The property is very historic and the rooms, while clean are period style and lack some of the finer touches.

The location is excellent, offering a superb riverside view. Breakfast was just average. The service was satisfactory, and the cleanliness was good. However, the air conditioning was a bit weak, and the facilities are quite old, which made showering inconvenient.

Such an interesting historic hotel with amazing architecture

The hotel isn't very close to the train station, but I managed to walk there with my luggage. The room was a bit small but clean. The surrounding area is a commercial district, so there are plenty of options for food and drinks. It's also not far from the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Friendly and helpful staff but hotel needs a bit of refurbishing, paint flaking off in room, air conditioner very noise and couldn't sleep

Very friendly and accommodating staff Bathroom are quite simple, but the rooms and the hotel itself has an amazing charm : stairs, decorations, paintings,... Would definitely come back again Excellent value for money at £80/night mid June Great breakfast considering it's included in the room price

This old hotel kept much of its original charm and atmosphere. The room and bathroom were large. The breakfast has a variety of bread, cakes, juices and fresh fruit. And of course freshly made coffee. The location is close to restaurants and the old city centre and within walking distance to the tower and railway station. I can recommend this place

In 30 years of travelling with accomodation the room and especially the bathroom was shabby . The bathroom was s not fit for purpose . The foyer was charming whilst retaining its authenticity, the test of the hotel requires major upgrading and repairing . The dining area for breakfast had a large sheet pinned to the ceiling !!! And it appeared to have been there a while . The bedroom picture images in no way reflected the actual room we were allocated

The location is superb; the city is small enough that all attractions are within walking distance. The only real downside is that it's quite an old hotel.
