Maison Dei Miracoli
7.6 (29 reviews)

Maison Dei Miracoli ★★★

📍 Via Derna, 31, Santa Maria, Pisa

"Terrible, even if the location is great. The photos offered by the owner enhance what is a miserable reality; at least for Camera Painting, the one in the photo: it had mold on the walls and the smell was persistent both at the entrance of the building and in the accommodation. My son is also allergic to mold. Luckily it was only for one night. Really terrible accommodation. We stayed on August 27, with registration done by my husband. You could also be satisfied if the price paid was not so high compared to the quality. Not recommended!"

Hotel la Torre
7.6 (29 reviews)

Hotel la Torre ★★★

📍 Via Cesare Battisti, 17, Pisa

"The hotel felt deserted, with no one at the front desk. You entered with a code, and the room door was already open. There's no elevator, and the stairs are narrow. The room itself was average, if a bit dated. However, the cleanliness was a major, major issue. We found other people's hairs in the sink, bidet, on the floor, and even in the bed. It was absolutely disgusting; who cleans rooms like this? Breakfast consisted of packaged, non-fresh pastries. Given the level of cleanliness, perhaps that's for the best, who knows. For €115, it definitely needs improvement. A three-star rating absolutely demands better cleanliness and hygiene, especially to justify the price. What a shame."

"Affordable price, excellent location, very close to Pisa train station. The front desk is open 24 hours; I arrived at the hotel at 12:30 AM by train and was able to check in successfully. Luggage storage is available, very convenient. The buffet breakfast is €10 per person, children were only charged half price. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it has the essentials. The Americano from the coffee machine had sugar, so the staff made an iced Americano by hand, attentive service. Regarding the accommodation, the room is a bit small, but for a typical one-night stay in Pisa, it's adequate for basic needs. Improvements needed: 1. After checking in early in the morning, I could still hear the front door slamming loudly; I suggest installing a damping device. Also, the water pipes were noisy; I'm not sure if it's because I'm on the first floor and the soundproofing is poor. However, I was tired from sightseeing and fell asleep quickly. 2. Like many reviews, there's no kettle. When I asked the front desk, they explained that the tap water is drinkable, and several hotels I stayed at in Italy had signs saying "Tap Water is drinkable." Ultimately, I couldn't overcome my own unease and drank bottled water from the refrigerator. 1. I suggest referring to other hotels and clearly indicating that tap water is drinkable. 2. Their room keys are real keys, not room cards, and they have a heavy, round tag attached—very retro, probably from their early days. It's unique but definitely heavy, haha 😃. 3. All drinks in the refrigerator are charged, including bottled water. I suggest clearly labeling this to avoid misunderstandings. (We weren't charged for the bottled water in the end, probably because we ate the buffet breakfast.) Overall, it's good value for money."

Grand Hotel Bonanno ★★★★
"Being a first time business traveller to Italy and Pisa ,it was a wonderful journey , the hotel receptionist can speak English , hence is easy for us to communicate with them . Pros : - Is a strategic location during the stay in Pisa , 15 min walk to leaning tower of Pisa . -Big applause to the receptionist Ms Tamara . She was very helpful , attentive and friendly during our stay at Grand Hotel Bonanno , she guide us to use the train from Pisa to Cinque terre, and lead us the direction to leaning tower of Pisa .The view of cinque terre was magnificent! -Other than that she helps us arrange taxi to airport and to my client office . - she was patient to answer all the request and question given by us . -The buffet breakfast was excellent , many selection of choice . Cons - there is no complimentary for mineral water during the stay . - the hotel was near to the railway station , hence you will easily hear the noise from outside however for me is fine with it . -the water heater can be improve . conclusion : If I ever come back again to Pisa, Italy , I will definitely choose this hotel again ."

Maison Dei Miracoli ★★★
"What can be worse than this, you die! Very dated furniture, indescribable mattress, there is no place to put the suitcases, bathroom with a broken brown folding door because it does not close, no bidet towel, only a face towel, a small mini bar is non-existent, there is not a glass provided, sliding shutter that does not close... I think that will be enough to understand that I will never return there again"

Hotel la Torre ★★★
"I ended up booking this last minute as our other booking fell through. We requested a cot for our daughter only to be told upon landing that there was no cot available! When I said that they should probably have informed us of this BEFORE we got on the flight, I got a reply saying ‘you can cancel if you want’. The room had 3 single beds in it, although we had booked a room with double bed (and cot) and so we ended up pushing them all together against the wall and putting the baby on the innermost bed! The hotel was very loud all night. The walls are paper thin. The next morning we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent water pressure in the showers. The hotel is also very well situated for the leaning tower as well as lots of restaurants and shops. It is also about 1 minute away from the train station which was ideal for us as we left to go to Cinque Terre. I think this hotel is tolerable if you’re only staying for one night in transit to somewhere else."
