"Most of the people are nice. The place is spacious and clean. The restaurant food is actually quite good. They offer free shuttle to downtown and airport, as well as Buttermilk. Here are a few downsides. 1. It is far from everything else. Quite, but not inconvenient. Shuttle goes every half an hour. 2. Give 4 bottles of drinking water at a time. Difficult to us 4 people. Why can they install a filtration system so that we can just get our own water? 3. We can hear all the squeaking sound upstairs while people walking. 4. Air control system is hard to maneuver. Overall, it is much cheaper than downtown hotels with bigger rooms."

"i have to say is the Concierge, ex St Regis where outstanding! Best feature of the hotel! It’s a small hotel which we liked, the location is on the main road so you do have noise on the terrace which is a shame as the view was lovely, the terrace was also very dusty on the floor and no one cleaned it on our whole stay. It’s a new hotel so I think the housekeeper team needs some work, each day rags or pillow cases were left in our room and when we check in coffee stains outside. It was clean, just the details, one night only one room was turned down, another day they forgot the powder room. Laundry is horrible sent to the dry cleaners and sent back not on time and with labels all over and not done well. Not to the price point for a 3 star service then yes ok. The restaurant is ok, the breakfast choices are not and limited. The gym is tiny but new and clean. The style of the hotel is traditional in the rooms and brown tones, the rooms are a bit tight and there is no bathtub just showers. For a penthouse i find it a little odd not to have one. A good addition to Aspen, but for me not a wow… apart from the concierge A note to the house car drivers some of them were lovely, most of the staff were general great, just the whole experience needs a bit more polish as a packet. ."

"We stayed at The Little Nell for a few nights at the end of ski season. As first-time visitors to Aspen, we chose the hotel for its ski-in-ski-out access and five-star reputation. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. On the day we checked in, my husband and I (both Asian) stopped by Element 47, the hotel’s lobby restaurant/bar, for light drinks and snacks. When we approached the host stand, the Hispanic male host with facial hair told us he was prioritizing “house guests.” Confused, I asked if he meant hotel guests. He confirmed, and I clarified that we were indeed staying at The Little Nell. The fact that he assumed otherwise without asking made us feel uncomfortable and singled out. Given the hotel’s predominantly white clientele, it felt like an assumption rooted in how we looked. No guest should ever be made to feel out of place based on their appearance. Beyond that unfortunate encounter, the overall service lacked the warmth and attentiveness one would expect at this price point. Front desk staff were polite but cold. On the third day of our stay, the hotel conducted loud rooftop maintenance to remove ice, but failed to notify guests. My husband had injured himself snowboarding and needed to rest that afternoon, but the noise was unbearable. There was no advance warning - no written note, no verbal mention, nothing. Had we known, I would have found him a quieter place to recover. But still, at over $1,000 a night, you’d expect to comfortably enjoy your room at any hour. When we shared our feedback on the issues above with the manager on duty the day we checked out, his response was, “How do you want to be compensated?” That lack of accountability was disappointing and not at all in line with what we expected from a luxury resort. Overall, The Little Nell felt overrated and underwhelming. Staff training, especially around cultural awareness and guest care, needs serious improvement. Next time we visit Aspen, we’ll be staying at Hotel Jerome instead."

As a platinum member, I communicated with them via email more than a month in advance about the anniversary, but there was no welcome gift whatsoever, not even a fruit platter or a welcome letter. The housekeeper even lost our braces, and the points I was supposed to receive as compensation haven't arrived yet."

"I have stayed at many W hotels and they never seem to disappoint, for sure they delivered at the W in Aspen. The hotel offers completely rides to/from the airport and throughout town in a few nice BMW X5’s. We never had to wait long for a ride anywhere. The hotel was over sold and we tried to get an upgrade with no luck and we’re concerned about the roll from a few other reviews. They were wrong, we had the room with 2 queens and one was elevated. This set up made the roll feel more spacious. The room itself had modern decor, plenty of storage in the closets and the signature heavenly W beds. There is a nice Lavazza coffee machine in the closet and they have a small refrigerator if you need it. Some reviews complained of lack of space, I was traveling with a friend and we had plenty of room for all of our stuff. They have a DJ every afternoon in the bar on the second floor. This place was not busy during the week, it seems like only on Fridays and Saturday’s, but on those days it was a good crowd for Apres ski. We did eat here and the burger and Mahi was solid. They also have a good breakfast. On the roof they have a good sized hot tub and heated pool. There is a heated towel cabinet but no where to really put your stuff so you have to run from the bar where you dropped your stuff to the tub. The tub faces the mountains and you get a great view on a clear night. The bar is closed in the winter but I would suspect it’s a cool spot in the warmer months. The location is also great. If your skiing Ajax there is a small path you can take and walk right to the gondola. Across the street there is a market and pharmacy, you can also walk just about anywhere from here. The W delivers in all the right places! Next time I’m in Aspen I will be returning"

"A great experience. The whole hotel is very charming and well located. Attentive and kind staff. The common area is cozy and mountain-style with a classic touch, which we really liked. The outdoor pool and hot tub are well heated, allowing you to relax and enjoy this space, even with very low ambient temperatures. Excellent breakfast. It's absolutely worth it. I found the room well decorated and charming, very modern, just a little small. I was very well received, as it was my birthday, and I received many welcome gifts. We loved it and recommend it!"
