A lovely hotel in a quiet setting. Bar service was a bit slow but available most times during the day. Food service was ok. Breakfast was good… wide variety… although fruit could have been fresher, ( apple was brown). Dinner at night was ok. Entertainer was good, enjoyed his music and cheerfulness. Difficult to get a taxi on the day we left and was pouring with rain. Staff were really helpful and took us to the train for which we were really grateful! I suggest booking a cab the day before.
Our room was comfortable and a good size. However the bathroom window curtains need attention. A shower curtain pinned up with press studs wasn’t appropriate for security and privacy!
We would stay again.

The location is good, not too far from the town, the hotel can swim, the swimming pool is a bit short

The hotel is in a very British town, the decoration is very old-fashioned and the style is good. I saw many local elderly people at breakfast. I also bought jewelry in that hotel, which is very design-conscious.
