Tui Magic Life Calabria - All Inclusive

We stayed for a week in late September/early October. The weather was great for most of the week (in the late 20’s) with only a little rain so it’s a great time of year to get away from the English weather without talking a long flight. We stayed in the private lodge area and can highly recommend it, as it feels like such a lovely haven from what is a busy, but well run resort. You have the luxury of dipping in and out of each area, and the service in the private lodge bars and restaurant was great. The entire resort was very clean and well kept. All of the public areas were being cleaned and tidied constantly. It was very impressive. The only, very small negative and a suggestion for improvement was the number of staff on reception. It could take a long time, and there were often queues to speak to someone. The food was good on the buffets in both areas, more choice in the main restaurant, but we preferred eating in the private lodge area because the drinks are served to your table, in nice glasses (red wine served at room temperature) and it was just very peaceful and laid back there in comparison. The pasta/risotto station in the private lodge area which was manned by a lovely chef was great and he really cared about the food he dished up for you - I wish I’d taken his name. All of the staff in that area were attentive and most were very friendly too. A special mention to Carmine in the Private lodge bar, Anna-Maria in the pool bar, Bruno in the Trattoria and Emanuel in the Wunderbar. They were all lovely, gave great service with a great sense of humour and put up with our bad attempts to speak Italian! The beach is good and there are so many sun beds! The walk to the beach is really relaxing through the trees. We didn’t go in the sea. Mainly because it was so nice at the pool, plus the beach is pebbly and therefore hard under foot, but it’s still a great beach to chill out on a lounger with an all inclusive drink from the bar. We went to Pizzo a couple of times on the shuttle bus. It’s a small town on the coast, so it doesn’t take long to explore but it’s very pretty and worth going. Plenty of places for a coffee or a drink whilst watching the world go by too. We also visited Reggio Calabria - good town for shopping and a good view of Sicily and Mount Etna, and the picturesque fisherman’s village of Scilla . All in all a fantastic holiday in a beautiful part of the world. We’ve seriously considered going back to the same resort, but also feel there is much more to explore in that part of Italy!

Well what can I say ….. fantastic resort , so clean you can eat your dinner off the floors ( well not literally but you get the gist ) all staff work well and always happy going about their duties, so where credit is due , a massive thank you to all 👌🏼👌🏼 Stayed in the private lodge and well worth the money as it’s peaceful and quiet so you can recharge your batteries. Check in was straight forward, band on , found the allocated room and bags arrived in less then 15 mins ! Room brilliant and cleaned to a great standard so thank you girls 🙏🏼. PL food was fantastic and who cares if cats roam around , they are part of the furniture and do not interfere with any one 👍🏼 all the waiter’s and waitresses are very polite and professional, they all work well within the teams so thank you all . Pool bar and PL bar are run by the fantastic servers and get to know what your beverage is ! Took the trip to capo vaticano , tropea and pizzo , well worth it 👍🏼👍🏼 Just a few gripes with some clientele but you get that wherever you go I guess ( the I paid for it so I’m going to fill my plates up brigade and must bash my liver with booze) . All in all , first visit to Italy and well impressed with the local culture and cuisine ( tartufo in pizzo 🤩 ) will I return …… yes 👍🏼 Hotel management Thank you to all the staff for the upkeep of the resort and services they provided, all first class 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 We will be back 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Can't really find any faults with this hotel.Staff are very polite and attentive.Upgraded to private lodges which were fantastic,pool area and hotel grounds are stunning.Food was also very good with plenty of choice and well presented.Another positive was by the time we landed,through passport control,collected luggage,bussed to hotel,checked into room in about 80mins.

At the complex till this Saturday block 5 room 5143 . Spotlessly clean. Food 10/10 . One of the bes if not the best run dinning room at any price I'm 71 holiday at least 3 times a year. All staff excellent. Grounds are fantastic. Sunbeds everywhere. The whole complex is very well maintained. For me no bad points would 100% return and will this was my first visit. Drinks local very good quality.

Just returned from this beautiful hotel. We have only praise for the pristine ground keeping, the cleanliness of the rooms , the friendly staff, the tasty food and drinks, in fact just everything! We were very impressed. Stayed in the private Lodge area which was very peaceful with the option of using any of the rest of the resort if we felt the need for a little more activeness. The beach is stunning and the walk down through the pine forest is very cool and calm. Went on a day trip to Capo Vaticano, Tropea and Pizzo which was very good. Had we stayed for longer than a week we would probably have ventured out a bit more but we both needed a few days of rest and relaxation and this place fitted the bill perfectly. Would definitely book again!)
