Want a great holiday in Lanzarote Then Hotel LIVVO Volcan is the place for you Just came back 4-11th Oct The hotel is lovely, staff helpful, friendly nothing to much trouble Location right on the marina perfect for bars resturants ( all budgets) and supermarkets x3 water etc Breakfast, to much choice 1/2 dozen types of bread cold and hot offers a plenty ( 4 toasters) Egg Station Evening meals ( we took the 3 night offer, like to eat out some nights) Again great, hot grill master chef at work, soups hot cold, salads omg everything, Ice creamn 4 flavours spuds (have a mixed grill Roast, Mash, Spanish Spuds & Mash :) You will not be dissappointed Hotel room spotless, aircon very easy to use ( most hotels aircon never work properly) Fridge, Kettle, Plenty 2 point sockets everywhere. Yes we are going back in March(booked) and again later Brendan & Jayne Byrne

First impressions were great lovely clean hotel we were ever so pleased to have been upgraded for free to the new area with private pool, thank goodness we did as I think the holiday would have been totally different if we hadn’t been. One issue at main pool being lack of Sunbeds around the pool unless you were up and out by 9am. The new rooms were good however missing things such as a mirror and plug socket by dressing table, very hard to get ready etc without simple things like this. For the price of this holiday the food was generally poor, breakfast and pool bar lunch was ok but evening food was dreadful, I’m certainly not someone to moan about food but I’ve stayed it much less quality hotels where food has been soooo much better. The meat was poor quality, the food was cold and I mean cold, a brand new tub of chilli arrived on the counter , plated myself up some, delved in and it was literally cold, not even warm, cold?! So much oil, food swimming in it, most days just had salad and a bread roll. The food was not appealing at all. Lots of pushing and shoving also from the older generation to get to the food. The room cleaners also knock at around 8am to clean! Never heard of this before at a hotel being so early, maybe the guests there are all very early risers!! Also found that certain people and maybe the hotel regulars were served/treated better like at the pool bar for lunch waited ages, whereas other tables served quickly, short staffed as well, only one man was allowed to take orders other staff we asked told us they couldn’t take orders so everyone had to wait for one man to do them all! Very odd. Cocktails also (although hand made but still made with ready mix liquids l) not great, all too sweet some undrinkable in fact. Moscow mule only one really that was ok. We wouldn’t come again unfortunately, but appreciated the room upgrade.

We stayed for a week, me and my parents in the 1st week of November. You are welcomed by very friendly staff members and with a delicious brut rosé :-) We booked a (standard) suite and for 3 persons this was perfect. I slept on a comfortable bed/couch and my parents in a separate large bedroom. The bathroom is spacious with separate shower,-bathtub and -toilet. The hotel, restaurants, location and the service of the staff was excellent. Really friendly staff. Unfortunately I experienced an unexpected medical condition but the staff were of great help and luckily a (free of charge) Medical Centre is nearby and I could enjoy my vacation afterward. The hotel is located at a nice boulevard with lovely small beaches. You experience no loud noice from surrounding cafes, restaurants etc or tourists when you relaxing on your balconies because of how the hotel is located and privately setup. We liked it as well that the swimming pool areas were not visible to see for trespassers on the boulevard. The food in the hotel restaurant is fresh and delicious. We recommend to try some of their restaurants and lunch at least! Every evening you can enjoy live artists at the lounge. If you visit Lanzarote we really recommend Princess Yaiza Suite Resort!!

We stayed at this location on the recommendation of a family member. They had stayed same time last year and had a really good experience, however that was to change. You arrive and the place looks very nice, reception has a new do it yourself booking in system. This was not fit for purpose. Four terminals all full with other visitors , however staff have to provide your booking number for the system. Then you fill in the pages, have to then wait for a card to be issued. For what the staff were doing, get rid and go back to the old reception desk, far better, far easier more personable. The staff could not do enough for you though. Very lovely on reception. The rooms are something else. This is supposed to be 4*, however that must be based on the facilities only. The front room has two chairs, the sink and no comfy facilities. The joining corridor has the toilet then the shower and into your bedroom. The rooms are small, single beds, no wardrobe space just a hanging rail and shelves. Very limited space. There appears to be very limited comfy seating on this site. Beware if you get a room next to the pool. It would appear that you get very little privacy as the path is outside of your front door. The windows open on to the main thoroughfare, electric fan and aircon. No basic tea making facilities. The Food is bland, repetitive, cold, Staff are slow and quite clearly on a skeleton crew. The tables are not getting cleaned, the trolleys are full of dirty dishes, staff stood around chatting and no clean bowls or plates. no sense of urgency even with queues. Menu is limited beware! The ala carte was ok. It is a little expensive for what you get. We thought of fazendas Brazilian, however the food was very greasy, the additionals came out way before food was ready and other parts of the service was already prepared. The pool and facilities are lovely, plenty Of sun beds around, oddly they do have a 20euro refundable towel fee for pool towels, but you can change regular. Keep your receipt though as this is how they refund you. There is a warm and cold pool. Even in November the warm pool was a game changer. The pool bar was good as well. The way to pay for things is also quite antiquated. You receive a card, with an amount upon it. It is then upto you to keep an eye on how much you have left. You hand it over for every purchase and you can also pay by cash. All in all, it was an ideal place to stay for Playa Blanca. 5 minutes from town and the lovely restaurants. We were here for 5 days, more than enough. There is a hyperdino 3 mins away and the new marina 8 minutes. A lovely break in Lanzarote as usual, weather very good but hotel just above average. Sorry.

Ignore the moaning! We are a couple here celebrating a big birthday and have had a wonderful stay! A lot of negativity circulating about the food, but we both found it fine and I’m sure the scales back home will verify! We have literally just overheard a lady complaining that the Spanish chef didn’t understand her request! Seriously? ! You’re in Spain!! !?! Great hotel, great service, great staff. Improvements could be made, but staff shortages are the same the world over. You’re on holiday!! Loosen up. The hotel is constantly being cleaned, lots to choose from at all meal sittings, staff trying and working hard to accommodate. Yes, I picked up a dirty plate, put it aside and got a clean one. One morning I didn’t have a pot cup so I used a paper cup… I dealt with it!! Animation staff try hard, cheese and wine afternoon was good, not just the usual water sports etc.. Seems some people want to pay for a fiat 500 and drive a Ferrari (nothing wrong with a fiat 500 though😉) We will be back 😁

Arrived in reception to a very helpful lady. Very friendly and gave us all the information we needed on arrival. Apartments was very spacious and clean front and back. Animation team was always good and it always made everyone feel involved and welcome. breakfast was amazing a acquired taste for everyone. Lunch catered for all. Dinner was a different variety every night and catered for everyone yet again can’t fault this hotel will 100% book again for next year Can’t believe the bad reviews as I was there the same time

We had a nice clean appartement which was very spacious. The bed is really good, very soft and we slept like babies. Bathroom was nothing special but clean which is the most important thing. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side. (8,- for 2 small orange juice). The staff was friendly. We would’ve liked to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. The only downside was the 100,- borg that has to be payed with creditcard as we didn’t have one but we got the appartement anyway. I recommended this place to others if they’re looking to relaxed without the screams from tourists. If you read this as a tourist please keep this beautiful island clean and show your respect. (We walked around with an empty bag picking up trash along the road)

This was our second visit to the hotel. First the positives - the food in the main restaurant is excellent, fresh and varied at each meal and our sea view room was clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly. The negative - as others have commented, there are not enough staff in the restaurants, so you can easily wait 20 mins just to get a drink or have dirty plates removed. It's not the staff's fault, it's the management not having enough of them on duty. The same situation is found in the piano bar. My tip is to get in and sat down as soon as these places open, as it is easier to get the staff's attention. Whilst we did enjoy our week at the hotel, I think there are others in Playa Blanca that we will visit in the future.
