Crystall Goa Palolem

Amazing rooms, ac, parquet floor, marble bathroom, tv, etc.. The crew is extremely nice and friendly, clean and neat. Great atmosphere, and bonus cafe house downstairs with great food. 5 stars easy. Forest the owner is the best

This was our 8th visit to Goa but our first stay in Palolem. We stayed in the Onyx edition and found it very nice. The room was large, the beds comfy and the shower hot. The only thing lacking in my opinion was storage space as there was only one small wardrobe and no draws. The room had a fridge and a kettle and teabags, coffee, toiletries were supplied. What I did really like was the ‘no plastic’ policy. A flask was available in the room and Fresh water available from a water dispenser located in the main reception. I felt like I was doing my bit for the planet and also had no large water bottles to have to carry around. Breakfast was included and taken at the main Crystal Goa which was literally a minutes walk away. There was a choice of eggs (prepared as you like them) boiled, fried scrambled etc. The fruit was massive and served with oats, honey, and yoghurt. The coffee was delicious. All in all we enjoyed our stay. It is just a 5 minute walk to the beach and you are just steps away from the shops and restaurants. We found the staff to be very polite and helpful. The rooms were quiet (apart from the cockerel 😀) who seemed to have got all his timings wrong. If I go to Palolem again I certainly wouldn’t rule out staying again.

These are the cleanest rooms within walking distance of palolem for sure, and the restaurant does the best chicken schnitzel and fish in town. AC, comfy double beds...the lot. They'll buy you fresh fish catch of the day and cook it for your dinner to order. Absolute winner. Right in the centre with a very friendly, informed, helpful owner.

We booked a premium double room which on the description stated that it had a seating area there was no seating area either inside or outside it also stated that it had either a balcony or a terrace the only outside space we had was a small table which overlooked the entrance and passage way to the adjoining cafes toilets and the staircase for the rooms on the floors above so there was no where to sit in private on an evening and have a quiet drink as we would normally do on holiday. On one evening this area was taken over by the preparation for a wedding party which we didn't mind but the next morning this area was a complete mess with discarded food and bottles everywhere. The room also had an adjoining door which was not on the room description and although this was locked we could often hear the television and voices from the room late into the night. The rooms were not cleaned until after three o'clock in the afternoon which meant on several occasions when we returned from the beach at about five our room had not yet been cleaned or was in the process of being cleaning which meant we had a wait to get back in. The free toiletries it offered were nothing like the pictures it shows on its website just two very small bars of soap. The only good thing about this property was the breakfast which was taken in the adjoining cafe not much choice either eggs or yogurt and museli but both were very nice. When we came to check out of our room to leave there was no one on reception who could access the computer so we left owing money for the laundry we'd had done. Would we stay here again NO there are a lot nicer places to stay in this resort for the same amount of money the rooms might be smaller but they have better facilities.

There were ants , I told the accommodation on arrival , nothing was done , 2nd night there were big ants all over the place. Mosquito prevention either . Was bitten . Not a pleasant stay . Could not sleep .

Broken only by Covid we have been staying here for 7 years & have not been disappointed. Hotel has nice clean well equipped rooms in centre of town. Staff are really lovely & cannot do enough to help you - big thanks to Anil, Deepak & Maya for looking after us so well. We can’t wait to come back next year.
