This hotel is dropped its standards in the last year. It is clearly understaffed. The rooms are ok but the bathrooms need attention. You now have to notify staff if you require your room serviced. The restaurant is now only open for breakfast but only doing a limited service and then the bar and restaurant is open from 4pm also only doing a limited service and no bar food. The corridors are full of rubbish from people’s room and left over takeaways but you can’t blame people when the hotel does not provide a adequate place for customers. Would seriously lot at alternative places to stay.

Cant fault hotel itself all good but very poor service at attached restaurant Admit we didnt book but we could see quite a few tables empty .On entry was greeted and asked if we had booked when i said no she said it would be approx 20 mins and she would call us when ready so we ordered a drink and sat down .After no communication for an hour i went to pay for drinks and although apologetic by the staff and still charging for drinks it was too late after being left to just wonder what was happening .Taxi into Poole and a nice meal at a proper restaurant Not great experience even though it was half empty

This was booked for us by my son who thought premier ment best, it is a hotel from hell, We checked in which took over half an hour as the receptionist was on the phone, then we tried going for something to eat where we were told we should have booked and had a two hour wait, there were only three staff on front of house, there were people waiting to be served at the bar for over half an hour and still waiting when we were turned away, we entered our room 53, which was right on the end of a block of rooms, we did not sleep all night, bed mattress was very uncomfortable and road noise all night, in the morning we went for breakfast at 07:00 the breakfast was not ready and was asked to wait half an hour, we had other places to be so gave it a miss, this is the first and last time we will stay

Very disappointing ! On arrival one curtain was hanging off the rail and overall the room looked uninviting. The new policy of having to make a request to have your room cleaned is terrible. We were given one bath and one hand towel for two people. Bins were lined up outside rooms for emptying; it looked like a school dormitory. The outside areas were dirty and uncared for, cigarette butts discarded near to the access doors, litter accumulating in the hedgerows. I felt sorry for the receptionist who wasn't fending off complaints. One couple checked out saying their room was unacceptable, I had total sympathy for them.

I have stayed here twice recently and both times have had a perfect stay. On arrival, I got a very warm and friendly welcome at reception and both rooms were spotlessly clean, one with a beautiful view of Poole Harbour. I think it’s fair to say that parts of the hotel are looking a bit tired and hope that PI management give this hotel the refurb that it needs. That said, I cannot fault in any way either of my stays. My rooms were clean and comfortable and excellent value for money.

Great location for Poole and the Purbecks (Swanage, Studland, Wareham, etc). Friendly staff. Clean and fresh room. Good sized bedroom and bathroom. Good choice of food at breakfast, with lovely cheerful staff. Only complaint - only one pillow each; I like two! (I'm sure another would have been supplied had I asked).

I judge hotels and restaraunts by the bathroom first, then value and convenience. Mine was super clean and I loved the Bayliss and Harding bathroom soaps! Great value, comfortable clean with a very good full english breakfast. I will definitely by returning soon.
