Mantra Aqueous on Port

We stayed as a couple in late December, just after Christmas. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the shared swimming pool area on the ground floor. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the lovely reception staff, who showed us the room details. The room featured a spa tub on the balcony, which we enjoyed. However, the hotel itself felt a bit outdated and old-fashioned. While the room was reasonably comfortable, we noticed some wear and tear, like chipped and scratched surfaces in the bathroom amenities and signs of overall poor maintenance. Also, the spa tub was not well-cleaned, with visible dirt and mould in the crevices, which was disappointing. Overall, while the staff were welcoming and the room had its enjoyable aspects, the lack of upkeep in the facilities detracted from our experience.

nice bur small apartments had a weird smell in the bathroom (and towels), didnt have cleaning also personnel at reception is very helpful

2 night stay in Port Stay at Matra Aqueous was excellent. It is in a great location, close to beach and main township area of Port Douglas. The pools are great, though would be nice if one was heated. Only disappointment was that only two coffee pods are provided per stay, and when I asked for more the charge was $12!

We’ve always loved this place. It is consistently well presented. We recommend a swim out apartment on ground floor.

Friendly and Clean hotel - really nice 😊 Close to the beach and the city centre. Good equipment in the kitchen. We can really recommend this hotel.

Great Location. Friendly staff. Stayed in the Ground Floor Room with walk out to pool which was great. Spa was great. Room was small. Nowhere to put suitcases. Bathroom old and needs renovation. Shutters were in need of repair. Definitely needs renovation so a bit expensive for quality.
